I am sure that the ICO will be successful. Pavel Durov is a man who created a social network of VК and telegrams.
(VК is probably more popular social network than Facebook in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.)
There are big expectations that the crypto currency will also be popular.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

It is not  the basis of an ICO to success. Majority of its members are just payed by the team to join telegram. There are many ICO that is successful abut only few members in their official telegram.

The Telegram project today is one of the main projects that is likely to be an imitation of decentralization, which is a really good example of what will happen if the messenger is banned in the country and how it can behave if a ban is imposed on it.

There's this psychology that controls the crypto space. Everyone believes that the higher the number of telegram users in a given project, the more successful the project is likely to turn out. But I beg to refuse this assertion as I have seen groups with less than 2k telegram members pulling weight in their ICO success and standing out too in the market. Example the Blue community. Even without an ICO, low number of telegram members, they were able to achieve $2 token price after a short period of time in the market. To me, I will say that a projects usecase and development and community and Roadmap does the magic not high number of airdrop or bounty hunters filling up a group.

CoinMetro - the future of exchanges
there are so many ICOs doing Telegram bounties, technically an ICO could be a complete scam but still have thousands of users in Telegram,
so measuring success by Telegram presence is not too good!

I really like the actions of Paul in Russia. He shows his devotion to the new world, the world of anonymity and individuality. I love it. In addition, he will support the owners of VPN and proxy, which provide access to Telegram in Russia (payment bitcoin-grants)

TON is future, IMHO

No, this is not an indicator of success. The hype in social media around the project will not guarantee its success and will not protect the investors' funds.

This ico have really large hard cap and with many crypto investors, it rediculous. But many news show that they have raise 1.7m dollars with private sale and the only problem is the laws. I think if this ico success, crypto industry will become big like forest, stock  Grin

As for me, the size of Telegram channel is a very tricky indicator. You can use it only in conjunction with other indicators/metrics (soundness of the story, team quality, potential market size, etc.) as in isolation from others factors this one is useless.

I dont think large member in telegram group correlated with successfull project. Telegram group just social media that give community information and i am believe that successfull project is depending on solid team.

Big community doesn't mean that was a good project or token , we can see good project or token when they are active and focus on their development , how they attract the investor , how the investor get magnetize with their proposal (white paper and roadmap). and sometime you need luck too , to be a big project , it doesnt 100% always need your skill. sometimes it need your luck.Roll Eyes)

Telegram is not a measure of an ICO's success as its an already polished product. They needed the ICO to happen to fund it further as it was funded from someones own pocket and they were making not enough money to keep it going. Thats just my view

The answer is outright NO because ICOs recently devise a tactic to just add people in their group in order to populate their telegram group. Therefore someone have to make proper research about and ICO before investing so as not to fall for the trap of the dubious ICO that do populate group with bots.

Yup, it has better plan than all other social medias. They are protecting messages fully giving confidence to users. Admin can chat with members directly and in addition, any programme cam have its own bot system too which makes it different frm all others. Better way for Icos promotion....

as i have already written here, telegram is important, but it's not the only criteria to decide whether the project is potential or not. besides, telegram is going to face with some huge issues these days, cause it has been banned in Russia. of course, telegram team will figure something out. but still, not a pleasant kind of situation
