Telegram is the most used  chat platform by crypto fans, and especially by the devs and the investors of ICO projects. A good reponsive Telegram channel is always required to see if the project is active, having some potential or not. Almost you can't find any successful ICO project without having a successful channel(s) in Telegram.

not necessarily because telegram is where people talk about ICO conversations that will be paid on time or place that answers questions that will be given people.

Yes, definitely 100%. If any ICO project we join in the Telegram community, everyone in it has no shared comment, questioned, then the community is deceptive. The ICO program has no potential. The lively Telegram community, investors ask many questions and admins respond quickly, these are good ICO projects.

Telegram is a major determinant of a successful ICO. It's the community that makes a project what it is and if they have a very large number of supporters, there's nothing the project can't achieve. The higher the number the more successful and more money raised. But it's not always the case some low group participants always make their hardcap target.

It is correct to refer to a project group or channel in telegrams. But it needs to understand that most of groups may consist of participants from airdrops.

I think that ICO projects have not been popular at all recently, although there were indeed a lot of ICO projects in Telegram.

I think that the number of users in the telegram shows people's interest in the project. And the greater the interest of the consumer, the more successful the ico will be. IMHO.

Telegram, a very good example of how to do ico. The project was very successful and did not stop there. It is still developing very well and the team invests in new ideas as gram.

For me Telegram is just one indicator. In General the use of Social Media is important for new Projekts but will Not guarantee the Success of the project. Most important will stay the roadmap and content the project itself is providing.

I still take a look at the good old social media too.
I mean yes telegram made its way into it but you can't go wrong with checking the activity of a coins followers. Followers of a coin makes more sense for calculating than the coin itself.

I check twitter, instagram, facebook, reddit, telegram and basically a lot of topics about them here. If the developers are too active compared to the followers than it means there is some chance of it being not so well. If the followers are fanatic and write many stuff everywhere and plenty of activity than it means the coin has a chance of success.

I believe that Telegram will be more than just social network in future. With ToN/Gram project it will become a very convenient tool to make payments via any kind of crypto. It's a big step forward.

Telegram was able to hold a full-fledged chain to create the ICO and show how it works. Quite likely many big businesses will follow their example.

My simple minded perception of ICO success is focused with how much money an ICO has raised. Of course, this still does not tell us if the project will be successful later on.

Big chats in telegram (cryptobred etc..) are often bots or users.  Therefore, I do not pay attention to the number of participants.  I'm more looking for the team's answers to questions from the participants and updates on the project.  It is also important to pay attention to other social networks - Twitter, FB, Medium.

Another important part - to check questions that people ask (not only team answers). If the community is really interested in development and wants to understand some aspects of the project deeper (not just waiting for 100x right away) - it's good  Smiley

There are so many ICO promote their project in telegram and bounty using telegram but it not as the measure. It only helps you to promote, nothing else more than that.

I read that telegram was banned in Russia. This is extremely surprising. And I'm just amazed at how far Putin can go in his stupid decisions. Perhaps people from Russia will now use telegrams less often. In my opinion, this is very bad. Since any prohibition is a restriction on freedom of choice.

They can't block Telegram in Russia  Grin Russians use VPN and proxy, and amount of daily users in TG has grown  Cool So Russian authorities just don't know how dumb they look now

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

I think telegram is a useful tool to gauge interest in a project, I wouldn't solely rely on it, but rather use it as a another piece to the puzzle of your own research.

Well I won't use  telegram as a measure for an ico success .why? Because most icos now add bot as telegram members to make the telegram page look full and make the ico look successful. Even I have seen popular icos pull this stunt
