dont be greedy
Which country doesn't envy special privileges in setting up one world currency? all countries certainly want to be regulators of the currency, because the current political conditions have not supported, every difference between race, ethnicity, religion, state, belief and so on is always easy to cause divisions,
so making one world currency, that's very impossible

Any country and any  nation needs his own currency and any of them needs to manage his
money by themself
Look on Europe  Euro currency and Euroland
It was much better for Italy Portugal Spain etc to have his own currency
Now all that countries are experiencing problems because there is one monetary system
One global currency will give full power to just one monetary system
One global currency is  banksters  dream
It will never happen, even in real life many countries have different outlook about crypto same with life, it will be hard to pit all nation to accept a crypto so it is really impossible to happen

Could you see a future wherein the entire world shares one global currency, be it fiat or crypto? If I think it in a scifi kind of way, it would most probably be some digital currency that could all just use. It doesn't even have to be in this century. Maybe the next?
This could be difficult to control when we have different culture and economy every country as the standard is not the same. Policies every country had different and this can bring chaos and misunderstanding in every people. Maybe this could be possible if we have only one leader to decide for the whole world.
of course it will cause chaos, I can't imagine if the world only has 1 currency, how to distribute to many countries, how the economy is described in a country (because there is no local currency), and who will control the circulation of this currency (if only one currency)..

Isn't USD shared and used globally? I think that's how things work, coexist not phaseout everything. I don't believe even next century or next generation that world will have only one currency coz that would mean world domination and supremacy of whatever countries currency maybe. Perfect example of what I'm saying is with Euro, it's supposed to be use by all European country but GB refuse not to use English Pound (for many reason) that cause Brexit. So there's really no way there will only be one currency like it's impossible to speak just one language or believe in one ideology.

Are you somehow referring to the new world order cryptocurrency? I don't think this aspect of having a universal digital currency will still hold the decentralization valid but the bitcoin which has been preexisting can easily serve this purpose as the world digital currency.

Global currency? I don't see this to be a reality in the coming future. We are in a global world where some countries are vying for supremacy. The bottom line is, who takes absolute control of the global currency should incase it becomes a reality? This will never happen. Moreover, some countries are already against cryptocurrency and this makes the emergence of  global cryptocurreency  a difficult task to accomplish if not possible. Incase it becomes possible, it should be a digital currency.

Semi-Decentralized Exchange
In my opinion, change is constant. But with regards for a chance of having one global currency i think it takes many years to be implemented. It is because different countries have different policies and regulation.

No government will give up its own currency distribution rights!
You refer to the euro, there is no favorable factor for the EU economy, and some European countries have economic crisis!
A global currency has a limited effect on the development of the economy!

For this to happen, it must take a lot of years, because at present the world is practically not adapted for the free functioning of the crypto currency around the world. Some States prohibit cryptocurrency.

only 3%

for developing countries it might be a good thing because it has the same exchange rate for developed countries and their economy can be better. but for developed countries, of course it will be a bad thing, because they cannot accept the same exchange rate against other countries.
Media is also spreading the news of bitcoin which mean more people know about it plus its the first ever made crytp currency with high price and demand.

Its highly possible that the bitcoin would be one who can be one global currency or i should say world wide currency. Since the user of bitcoin and the awareness of this currency is to much high. More than 80% people are know about bitcoin and 60% of people have invest with btc.

It is impossible that we will see one global currency and it is not easy it is possible only in dreams not in reality now the big thing is the people interest and world big Economies like US and Russia they will not ever ready to select one currency for trade and international payments. SO one global currency is not possible in fiat and even in crypto people use their country coin and ICO for investment but they do more trust in that.
It's impossible, many countries didn't accept yet cryptocurrency , plus I don't think organizations will let it, many governments may find their ways to do by their own if ever. It will be hard to agree with.

In my opinion, i don't think there would be one global currency it is because each countries has it's own government policies and laws.
You right, that's a simple but precise reason. it is impossible for the whole world to have only one currency whereas every country has
its own government and rules based on their ideology and the state of their society, unless the whole world has only 1 government, but ts not gonna happen
No one would accept that, government wants to rule its own society and it is really impossible to have one goals, politics and greedy people will always look for their benefits and it will affect many things including currency and economics, as per now, having one global currency is just a dream and still
far from  reality.

It could already be possible having a global currency if governments wouldn't have banned bitcoin and there are almost people assuming bitcoin as global currency.
Bitcoin meets all those abilities we can set it on priority, if not now but possibly it can be the global currency in future
