for developing countries it might be a good thing because it has the same exchange rate for developed countries and their economy can be better. but for developed countries, of course it will be a bad thing, because they cannot accept the same exchange rate against other countries.

There will never be a chance of having one global currency ,because every nation do not want to be dominated by other powerful country or nations  that is why every nation has its own currency for they want to be independent with other nations, so it is far of having only one global currency yo use.

I dont think we will have global single currency. Bitcoin can be use as international currency that accepting by most people in the world but i dont believe it will be single currency. Every country have different economic condition and its reflecting their currency

Could you see a future wherein the entire world shares one global currency, be it fiat or crypto? If I think it in a scifi kind of way, it would most probably be some digital currency that could all just use. It doesn't even have to be in this century. Maybe the next?
The only one that i think right now is bitcoin but it is not yet close to perfect to consider to be as global currency. We could just think or wish of it that it would come soon but there is always a problem with it when considering to be as global because someone would want to claim it and the government might cease that person if he would show his real identity in public.

This could be difficult to control when we have different culture and economy every country as the standard is not the same. Policies every country had different and this can bring chaos and misunderstanding in every people. Maybe this could be possible if we have only one leader to decide for the whole world.

Not a chance. The currency of a country is a symbol of its economy and the stability of its political system. It is a representation of their identity. It would be highly impractical if a single currency is to be implemented. Unless and until the world had a single government to maintain uniform fiscal and monetary policies. But i don't think all government will be enthusiastic on this.

Those scifi movies do really gave us a hint on what will be the possible future of the world. If you are aware of the conspiracy theories, there will be really one world currency soon but we can't verify it if that's going to be bitcoin or another government regulated one.

We are already on the way there, bitcoin knows no boundaries or borders
so in my mind it is already a global currency and with further adoption it
will fulfill more that role.

I think in the future (50 to 100 years) again, the world will use a common currency that can be used throughout the world and not kill native currencies in each country, and that is very good because indirectly all countries cooperate, like EURO which is a common currency in the European continent.

Until the end of time
I think it is very possible and i also think the world is nearing to that stage, but if that will happen, it have to be a digital currency, and bitcoin is the only coin that have gained more popularity to achieve the fate, and I believe it will happen in the near future.

Yes, it is quite possible that once the world will switch to the use of a single global currency. However, this will not be soon, because the world is not ready for this yet. All political and economic contradictions between states should disappear. I am not talking about wars, but also about the slightest local conflicts. What it will be for the currency, and whether it will be a cryptocurrency, it is too early to say now. In two hundred or three hundred years we shall see.

In my opinion, it is impossible if we all use only one currency. Not all country will agree to change their currency. Because they always value their currency and the history behind their currency.

Honestly, it would be nice if all countries came up with some kind of one way of calculation between all countries, which would be international!

Once a man, twice a child!
Could you see a future wherein the entire world shares one global currency, be it fiat or crypto?
Capital NO! This won't happen, now or even in the future. Asking for a single currency for the entire world is like asking for a single language adoption for the world. This is wishful thinking and should be confined to where it rightly belongs: Utopia.

Cryptocurrency operates within a single decentralized system, respectively, in order to function one coin for all, it means that all States must unite in one common state, and this is unlikely to happen.

This situation is hard to happen!
A global currency needs the approval of most countries in the world, which is difficult to achieve!
Because the legal currency of each country now has its own sovereign control, the global ownership of monetary control is a very critical issue!

The first global currency is bitcoin and that's what we call cryptocurrency. It can be transferred all over the world as long as you have bitcoin wallet. The price were driven by the investors and adopters unlike fiat currency where it was driven by the economic level of a country. I am really sure that the day we are all waiting for will happen someday where bitcoin will be recognized as fiat global currency.

well. there is a chance of course. when there is one language spoken in all over the world, when borders of countries were cancelled and everbody is considered to be from earth, not from a country then there will be possible 1 currency in the world.
