Only a few people enjoy gambling games for fun, even rich people, unless they have a lot of money or have complete control over themselves, but that is very rare. Everyone wants to win.
Not only the rich people enjoy gamble, but everyone who understands the principles of gambling.  Do you know some rich people feels sad when they lose in gambling because they played with a huge amount thinking that they will get a win from gambling. It is only those who play with the amount they can afford to lose that enjoys gambling because they play for fun, even if they lose it does not really affect them emotionally.

Rich people who see gambling as fun don't bother about their lose because it is something they can afford , but the ones that plays with a huge amount always feel bad when they lose.

There should be fun even when we loose because to an extent that alone should sound being funny to is that we lost it when we even expect it to be won, secondly, we need to realize that it is not everyone who is gambling is chasing after lost or desperate for making winnings than the fun they stand to get while gambling, so loosing mean nothing to some category of gamblers like the fun they have through it.
Pleasure and defeat actually depend on how our mindset absorbs it, don't think of it as a burden, losing at gambling shouldn't be a problem if you gamble for entertainment so losing won't be a burden either as long as it's fun, for example going on a date with your partner to find pleasure, why not be happy even if you have to spend a lot of money. isn't that actually the same feeling?

The same feeling of spending the same money, let's say it means that when we gamble or go on a date with our partner, it's the same to look for fun, isn't it, but maybe for gamblers who consider gambling to be a serious game, it seems difficult to feel pleasure in losing when gambling, for people Those who usually gamble for fun think it is normal. There is always a feeling of joy even though you experience defeat  Grin

The defeat can bring joy if the gambler is not bothered about it. While playing a difficult game, we oftentimes feel the joy of getting to a certain level and then being evicted or defeated. The same can occur in gambling. Some players only enjoy the thrill of choosing an interesting game and then wager some amount to see if they'll win or not. The lose being funny, as Judah said, cracked me up. However, it should be the right form of gambling if a player wants to escape sadness and anxiety over a piece of gaming results. The money we may get from gambling is not enough to take us all through our lifetime. It's mainly some transient rewards that a player can manage for a few more days before it exhausts. Our thoughts also affect the way we feel over the results; win or loss. One would think what's fun in losing money? Nothing dear. We can't claim that we love it when our money is spent.

Sometimes on an outing with our friends, if we spend more money than we budgeted, we'd claim to be happy but at some point feel the stress a little bit. Before forgetting due to the fun memory we were able to build using the money. Gambling only feels different to some other people, because they don't understand why they lose money in gambling without gaining any results as promised. The win they expect only stresses them more, and the player can be worried over his mate's winning and he's got more losses compared to winning. These thoughts can't be handled by every gambler out there. Lots of gamblers don't forget about the money, while others move on and try again for more fun. The moment those losses register on the gambler's brain, and he is not able to erase them, he won't feel happy about losing money in gambling. Hence, gamblers are better, when they equate gambling to their normal daily expenses on utilities. Nobody buys a product more than he needs it. No need to expect to be happy after gambling more than your budget.

That's not true at all. I'd say it's the very opposite - most people find gambling enjoyable and fun. A simple logic - in most games, a player has a mathematical disadvantage, meaning he's more likely to lose money long-term. If not for the "fun" factor, who would even play such games and why?
I suspect you might have mistyped and maybe what you meant was "Only a few people enjoy losing" etc, that's also not quite true but makes much more sense.

You could lose 1 million usd but if your monthly income is $500k, you will make up for it in 2 months. No big deal.
I can't imagine betting up to 1M USD and a monthly income of $500K, these are rich people who can do it, so if the spending is bigger and the income is almost the same or half of it obviously it's not a big deal.

If your monthly income is $2k but you lost $100k and that was all you got, then you are in a big trouble probably.
Excessive income of $2,000 while betting more, this kind of person will have a high level of problems to solve. Cheesy

As you see, it is all relative. For some people $1000 is big money, for some others it is just what they pay for their lunch.
Right!!! it's all relative and depends on the ability of the individual, when I would say $1000 is a lot to cover one month of living for me, but they would consider this as peanuts.

Well, gambling is different for every individual. It all depends on one's mindset, in my opinion. A person who gambles solely to have fun while having a fixed budget will not care much about the losses as long as they are having fun while betting. For example, if I'm playing dice with a fixed budget that I know I can afford to lose, I can experiment with my bets like increasing the odds while reducing the bet and vice versa, and if I hit a big multiplier, I will surely enjoy that and I wouldn't care much about the losses that I had while I was looking for the win.

However, if a person is gambling to earn money, and only have a limited budget for that, they won't get entertained if they lose a few bets, and this is the reason why a large number of gamblers chase their losses because they don't want their bankroll to end since they have a specific aim to achieve from their gambling activities.

For me, practically there is no fun in losing and even though we all agree that gambling is for fun, we still have to settle for the fact that with a one or two wins help increase your motivations and also keep you at a staking balance top up, this feeling is far more better than to have a persistent loses which will affect your overall well being and at some point make it hard for you to continue gambling so at the end you lose out on the fun.
But then also it depends on your amount in risk, because if you gamble with just a small amount then it becomes great to have it for a long while even if you are on a losing trend.

Depends on how big is your loss and what your monthly cash flow is.

For example;

You could lose 1 million usd but if your monthly income is $500k, you will make up for it in 2 months. No big deal.

so in my opinion, someone can give up gambling by no longer coming to the casino, but to be able to give up the habit of betting, is a very difficult thing to do.
but if it is an online casino, it seems that people will find it difficult to stop gambling because they are still holding a cellphone connected to the internet, where online casinos can now be accessed and played using a cellphone, that is what they may have difficulty stopping, especially since it has become a habit that is difficult to stop, but If you really want to stop gambling, it's best to put away your cell phone and stay away from the internet. Live like the people before without the Internet and cell phones, whereas in physical casinos, everyone can do without going there.

I think in today's life, we cannot be separated from cellphones and internet connections, unless someone lives in the interior and is a primitive person. But that is an impossible thing... to do. Social media and the internet have been present in almost every human life. Personally, the last thing I see before I fall asleep is a cell phone and the first thing I see after waking up is a cell phone.

Nowadays there are countless gambling sites, as well as the promotions they carry out, which come from social media, mass media, the internet, direct notifications on cellphone screens, short messages and even crazier, and for the first time I have ever received a call from someone unknown, which turned out to be from the gambling site promotion team. The internet and social media are the closest things in our lives, so avoiding online gambling is quite difficult.

Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
Let’s be frank, there are several other things one can do for fun aside gambling and I understand that life it’s own is a risk but seeing claims that people see gambling as fun even when making losses is weird and I think it’s worth discussion as to know if truly people gamble strictly for fun without minding if they’re losing or winning

No, gambling is not strictly for fun but you can not separate the fun from gambling. When you say something is strictly, it means that it's only limited to what comes next. Every gambler is aware of the winning and losing money while gambling but to be able to see the fun aspect of it depends on what you feel about gambling entirely.

Losing is one particular thing that makes it to be fun after all. Imagine gambling without losing and see how boring and uninteresting it can be. The fun of gambling comes from the excitement and anticipation of winning despite that you can not always win but that experience of playing alone is a fun on it own.

No one actually wants to lose but it's not possible unless you stop playing but when you are too attached to winning without thinking about the opposite, then you can not see the fun in gambling. To enjoy the fun of it, just take a break when you are losing too much.
We're wired for tense emotions. Gambling's highs and lows activate our reward system, generating excitement and anticipation. Don't romanticize it. A double-edged sword. Losing brings excitement and uncertainty. There's a downside. After 'nearly winning', pursuing losses might be risky. Is it true that the brain equates near-misses with wins, fostering addiction?

Consider the decision paradox. Every choice in gambling is, in a sense, a gamble. Constant decision-making taxes the mind but excites it. Hobby and habit are hard to distinguish. You suggest pausing when losing too much. That's great counsel, yet many find it difficult to follow. The lure of 'just one more try' is strong. Don't we need to acknowledge gambling's evil side as well as its fun? Beyond the game, it's a psychological adventure that tests self-control, risk assessment, and emotional resilience

Honestly speaking there is fun in gambling but not when  you are losing. Each time there is wining its always fun and people don't think of quiting. It is true that gambling is fun but when a person keeps losing it is no longer fun and full of frustration. Even if you don't understand at first you can understand it at the end that's why I think there are so many other ways to have fun that gambling is not the right choice. If gambling losses outweigh gambling wins there may be a link between gambling and other poor health behaviors often leading to social problems such as homelessness and crime.

That's it, that's the fun that they do and found it through gambling and that's not impressive to you because that's what makes you think that there's no fun at all. But if we're going to take a look and see those actual people that are saying that they do it for fun, you might see the actual fun on their faces or reactions based on how they show it to the other people. Anyway, it's a huge argument about people that don't see gambling as fun and profitable, this is like a debate that's always going to show.
It's correct. A good example is those who are streaming their gambling days. The real ones, not those who are being paid by gambling sites fake their reactions because they are artists, not real players. There are still loads of streamers who are really using their own money to gamble and it can all be seen in their face with how they react and how joyful they are whenever they win multis.

@Obari We do mind about the losing part because while having fun, we also want to win. I feel stressed when I lose but that doesn't mean it is the end of the day. There are times a game will hit the RTP which means giving back a part of what you lose and then you try again and seek revenge by winning.
Just yesterday, I withdrew $40 more because Plinko and Keno gave me some good rewards and I think I also found my favorite numbers because of it. The fun part is looking for those combinations that would give me the win and I can say that I enjoyed it until I took it out for cash. Now, I am going to enjoy it more by using the money for food and drinks.  Cheesy
Was that fun? It sure is.
I do worry when I am losing so I go to different games to find some luck. Stopping that losing streak is where the fun will actually begin.

In my opinion, I think that there will be any public that they will enjoy there loss. Yes it is true that gambling should be always for fun. But it's true that we can take our lose as fun or enjoy it. I think we have to go in with the mind set before gambling that there are chances to win as well as chances to lose.
It's true that not everyone gambles to be able to win, some people gamble just to fill their free time and don't worry about winning or losing and when they experience defeat it won't have any impact on them. Of course we won't know what we will get in the game we play. Whether it is about winning or losing, it is very important for us to gamble in a good mental condition so that we are not greedy in the gambling we play.
The important thing is that they can accept whatever results they get from gambling so that no negative feelings arise after they finish gambling. They will think that losing from gambling is normal and there is no need to regret it, especially since they only use the money they can afford. In contrast, people who use a lot of money to gamble are not prepared for their losses, so it only triggers them to deposit more money, especially to recover their losses. This will make them unable to accept their defeat and will recover from their losses even though their chances are not that big because they could suffer even more defeats. And we should only play gambling for fun and fill our free time so that we don't have a target that we want from gambling.

There is no fun when your goal in gambling is to win but even if you're not, still you will feel a little bit disappointed. That is why we don't assume that we win because this will have a mental effect especially if we lose. We'd rather put this on our mind I'm doing this for fun so we never feel mad when losing.

It should be clear to us that gambling needs luck. If we don't have the chance to win, then we don't have a reason also to blame anyone instead, accept the fact that this is really all about.

Gambling is a game of probability however you gamble on
knowledgeable choice of gambling with that you can stand a better chance of winning consistently though losses is inevitable, for instance I bet on soccer matches with the amount of money I can afford to lose of course I don't mind if I lose because my losses is less than winnings, I believe betting with a huge amount of money wouldn't be for fun if such a gambler experiences some streak of losses that can not be fun again because of consequences of that particular action of the gambler can lead to bankruptcy.

But when there is more loose its often no longer fun. So fun I'm gambling is as a result of win and not loose because nk body is ever happy when he/she is loosing.

I really want to know the person who is having fun even losing in gambling because i think any sensible person can't be happy on losing money in gambling and when you are not happy, then you cannot have fun. Isn't?

By the way, there may be one possibility where a person may have fun even when lost the game, is that when he is following the money management and he knows that even if he loses a few games, he is in overall profit. This way he knows that the important thing is to be in profit, there will be many gambling times, when the gambler will have to face a loss.
I don't think there is a sane person who gambles and has fun while losing. Maybe gamblers who gamble for hours are having fun and being entertained, but the thing is, at some point, I'm sure he or she will have regrets about losing that money. Who's going to be happy after losing money? none, even if the price of losing the money is having fun or being entertained.

But maybe there is a possibility, but still, I believe that there is pure fun and entertainment while losing money or after losing money from gambling. Accepting the loss of money for fun may not be a bad idea, but it would apply to some people. But for me, it is impossible to have fun if I know I'm losing money from gambling. Yes,  I'm having fun, but I know at some point I will think of the money that I have lost and have regrets, but what is done is done.

It is never fun when you lose, but losing is an integral part of gambling. People who have said they are gambling for fun, they have said it in general, while they receive a full bouquet of emotions during gambling. Gamblers also said they do it for fun, because they dont do it for money, nor do it for killing time. What else can they say then? I think OP has misunderstood a little bit what people really meant. If OP really wants to talk about such philosophical topics then name please any activity, when person get fun only, from the beginning to an end.
