You look at the output of the money you put in and the cost of your time you put in and calculate the benefits. If less, you do not go into the gambling and if high, you go into the gambling and enjoy it in the same time. There are people who are in gambling just for profit.

Greed is one of the biggest problems for gamblers, It will make you a loser even if you are lucky and you started to make so money from gambling. Gambling is good for people who know exactly what they want, for people who can control themselves and bet carefully without beting with a lot of money.

Gambling definitely means that it is not all about of winning but for making big losses. Grin

So if we are gambling or in online betting, we never expect that we always win and win cause not all the time we are not lucky to have it. Greedy might be a big factor not because they want more but they are having troubles with their losses in the past days, months or years that they really needed to catch for. But in the end, they are still losing.

Exactly.No one will really succeed in the end if you have started it with greed.Most of the gamblers always chase their loses but it turned out that they even lose more.I think it's just a matter of self-discipline.Because if you already know your limits,you will know exactly when to continue gambling or when to stop.It would be better if all gamblers would find gambling as more of an entertainment rather than a source of living.

We have different reasons why we or some are still continuing to play gambling games/casinos even tho they are losing one reasons is because it's fun and they're enjoying to play gambling games and gives them some relaxing feeling and while they're enjoying they're can still earn from it and when they lose it's alright because it is just for fun (probably this are the players who're really a millionaire), second is they're really desperate to recover their losses from their last game.

but for what i've known and observe the reason why some people are still continuing to play gambling games is because of greed.

Enjoyment is the most common factor why people still continuing even they knew that they are risking money, both addicted gambler and responsible gamblers are well entertained why they keep coming back, if you can afford to lose and you are not risking your entire savings gambling can be use
for taking relaxations.

If a person is unable to stop gambling even if they are continuously losing, then that is addiction. If a player cannot also remove gambling in his/her body system, they are suffering from compulsive gambling. As if they cannot live without the urge of winning even if it is in a sense that they are losing many times than winning. Gambling is fun but with always a limit.

I'm not sure with these, I believe only few of them or of the total number of gamblers.
Not all gamblers are serious with what they are doing, hence they cannot be addicted if they will only play occasionally.

Gambling in general is addictive but only for people who are spending most of time experimenting some strategy that will help them win
as they are prone to that when they are expose more, and now that gambling industry is growing with the advent of crypto gambling, it will be riskier to us.

Fair point, difference between the two is undeniable. Having fun while playing casino games, just for the sake of having fun, can not be called gambling. Yet, how many people do it without having any hopes for scoring big? Tiny fraction of players display such approach.

The op is asking for the valid reason, and the reason simply is addiction! I know a lot of players that we're not addicted an at first, but after a period they start to be addicted to gambling and they can't stop it. I think the reason here is the greed. Anyway, they always end up financially broken.
