Some people continue because they enjoy playing and they are entertained . while some continue because they want to increase their winnings . but yeah majority are comming back to revenge . i think they didnt regret at all because that is their choice . they choose to continue even they already know that gambling is pretty risky .

It may change if you are trying to find weaknesses in a game instead of profit but again you can do that with playmoney most of the times.
Im sure there allot of people that do a occasional gamble and never gets addicted to it.

The reason why casinos are profitable is because they imbibe a sense of competition and a hope for recovery from busting. Its normal for a person to think that they can recover the money they lost because human minds work in that way. Acceptance of the loss and moving on comes very late and by that time they have also lost more trying to recover what they already lost. This cycle must be stopped if a person attempts to stop gambling.

Regret is a normal phenomena. But few people are wise enough to accept the loss and not play again.

Addiction will indeed be difficult to eliminate, help from the closest person will make ourselves much more comfortable.
Basically, gambling will be much more comfortable when you can control yourself. Actually, gambling is a natural thing, we get entertainment.
what's wrong is the attitude of people who consider gambling as a way to gain income.

I agree that it is not only for the money, it's about the feelings the hunt and the excitement produce in them when they win. That rewarding method is dangerous because then the brain associate with something really good and you would need a lot of self-control to not fall into a spiral.

The thing is knowing why you are entering in some place and having a plan then you can have fun in a healthy way.

I'm afraid if your GOD won't listen to you and you gambled everything you have but it losing in the end. In gambling, you can't rely from our GOD but for our luck and self reliance.
There is no reason for us to continue for gambling if every time are still in losing and not even experience of winning. But if you consider gambling to please our stressful life, then we just continue doing it.

I see gambling as a way of entertainment and only as that. I gamble small amounts of money and I don't risk my heritage when I am gambling. I think if you have self-control then why not gamble? We have given a will to choose,given own characteristics and behaviors with this none of us can tell whats their own reason of chasing the win when the truth is losing is what they’ve got but for me the most chances of becoming one is the lack of love or support from the family or someone closes to them

Most of the addict that i have spoken from the past has this on their insides so i guess were not aware of their burdens

With anything related to religion, some gamblers don't want to talk about it. But I've seen life changing stories that has been helped by God (no religion intended and endorsement). It will depend on your heart and willingness.

Well in some religions gambling is not allowed. For those people who still play gambling can convince themselves that since the gambling is not allowed in their religion, they will avoid playing it in future.

It is like a commitment to oneself and its only the attitude and belief of the person on how well he respects his religion and avoid the things which are prohibited.
