I am just going to put it in here, but from one of my experience in bounties back then, some attempted to reach me out through my "junk mail" and tried to phish me into their fake MyEtherWallet website as they knew that I was using that kind of wallet. It's not just mostly scam, but some would even try to steal your wallet away from you. I am pretty sure that nobody in here would fall for such a thing, but hey for sake of some newbies that are still new to these kinds of stuffs.

There are always opportunities, whatever rank that you have. The central part that I like about the forum is that there is an opportunity to learn about many things in the forum. That comes without anything because you can explore everything except some boards but pretty much have access to the whole platform with whatever rank you have.

For earning part, you need higher ranks to join some signature campaigns. In that term, you need to have more worth meriting posts. You can do it as long as it's not repetitive and somewhat novel about the topic.

I'm into this forum since 2017, not that active but today I came back since this pandemic force me to continue my journey in crypto market.

I've been part of many bounty before and participate on bounties last year and guess what, some of them didn't pay at all.

Any tips on how to look for a better project and what can I do to increase my rank?
Don't get me wrong here, I still consider myself a newbie and hoping to hear your advices.

In terms of projects, it actually depends upon your skillset on which people are looking for. Under the services section, usually there are people who hire web developers or creators in order to create them a website for their respective coins. Usually, the pay is in BTC and you may earn from this method alone.

If you are planning on participating into campaign signatures, then it is essential that you contribute something beneficial to the forum in order to receive merits on your posts. Though lots of newbies consider this as a barrier in ranking-up, this necessarily helps the forum in filtering out users who spam across boards with nonsensical replies.

You have a long journey ahead. Good signature campaigns have become highly rated people who have merits and share useful content for the community. Therefore, developing yourself will be the beginning that you will benefit from personally before benefiting from the financial return.

The price of Bitcoin is now low and we may not go down further so until then investing any surplus money would be a smart idea.

OP must develop himself in terms of posting to make some useful content or constructive post so that many merits will come and if achieve hundreds of merits and reach a full member Op can enter a long term campaign and if he earn he can hold it until the price will up, cause now is the best time to buy chase the price is deep.

If you look for bounty to earn well we cannot guarantee anymore with it since if we compare last 2017 bounty campaign we can say that many are paying before compare to now so I guess its better to seek for alternative. Right now the most effecient one to give you decent profit is to work with programming,social media management or if not go to twitter and seek information about NFT games since you can also earn by playing games, but it need some amount to invest but if dont have any money you can apply on scholarship program offered by some investor but this is kinda hard to find so better seek them up on twitter or discord.

I'm sorry for your bad experiences, but if you see that something isn't working maybe it's time for another tactic.
By now, you’ve probably already realized that bounties aren’t an effective way to make money on this forum.
If you want to make money in other ways on this forum, you need to acquire certain skills and knowledge such as programming, logo design, translation etc.
There are also better paid btc signature campaigns but to participate in them you need a certain forum rank and reputation.
To earn a certain reputation in this forum you need to invest your time and knowledge in this forum, learn and be ready to help others.

Perhaps I’m a bit biased by the way I do things, but being everyone entitled and encouraged to formulate their questions, performing some prior background work by searching around and reading through experiences goes a long way. By that, I mean that one can easily resolve many things by reading here and there, and that then broadens the scope to pin-point more specific questions based on doubts surged for the prior read information. This is likely a way to improve your rank as a sort of attitudinal bypass.

As to projects themselves, be it from an investing point of view or for choosing which one to promote, whilst there is no certainty in anything, it seems reasonable to invest time (again) into reading throughout experiences and project-based materials, and take tips as pointers at best,  but never as done deals.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
There are alot of opportunities for lower-ranked members.  Good you have been here since 2017. You should have gotten enough experience before your disappearance.
Lower-ranked members have the opportunity to;
Learn in the forum;
Trade in the forum;
Offer services in exchange for btc in the forum;
Earn by signature campaign;
Earn by bounty campaign;
Etc.
So, there is still enough opportunities for lower-ranked members.

Before I am suggesting some safe, at least good campaign here in forum preferably on altcoin bounties but Ive stopped it already cause the ratio of scam to legit are getting higher and those who dont paid increases.

If you are on 2017 then were both started during that time. I am just like you before but Ive improved myself better rather than just joining campaigns but if given chance to do and hunt some good one I am gonna donit again but as for you try to increase your knowledge not just on campaign but on other stuff here.

That is good that you come back, but if you want to rank up on this forum, you will have to be active this time, activeness is the key to rank up, including meritable posts.

I've been part of many bounty before and participate on bounties last year and guess what, some of them didn't pay at all.
You can be active and do bounties, it is possible, but if you are only focusing on bounties, you can not have meritable posts.

Any tips on how to look for a better project and what can I do to increase my rank?

Stop looking for bounty projects, think long term and focus on increasing your ranks. To increase your ranks is to improve on yourself and increase your knowledge and the content of what you give out, such that your contents provides value for users here, be more consistent and you will earn merits for sure to help you better your opportunities here.

There is always an opportunity for lower rank people to Increase,but certain things needs to be done.
One must be able to research and know more things about the Bitcoin so as not to make mistakes.

One must be very good at making quality posts that will enhance merits.He must read people's posts about and how they are made before making one.

Both low and high ranks are both worthy here, don't high ranks here also come from low ranks? Then they can do well until now and their rank is getting higher. To participate in a bounty, rank is indeed influential in getting paid and people are competing to increase the rank to get a decent payment according to their rank. to raise a rank of course depends on the posts you make, the more quality your posts, the more you will be appreciated in the form of merit and all of that takes time. if indeed your goal is to increase the rank then try to focus more on your goals.

Yeah, I feel how desperate when joining bounties today as many people had made complaints about getting nothing from them unlike before where it was profitable. But just to wonder why many people were still joining bounties if they never get any from them. Well, I think is that you make the mistake of joining with them, you have chosen those bounties that are not reliable or not managed by known BM.

Considering yourself a newbie after attaining the member rank, that's something really new to hear of in this forum and I tell you, ranking up is very possible and rather, easily if you know what your doing. If you make learning a purpose and pursue knowledge of crypyos and forum functionality, you might just be on your way to the next rank and unto the next. A perfect example of one user that have proved that ranking up is still very easy are accounts like KingsDen and SatoPrincess. These two users as I know them in the forum has come by there ranks rather swiftly than most persons. You could too, its just defining your priority and sense of focus.

Nothing wrong at all. If you worked I bounty a long time ago then you should have made a decent amount of money. But lately, still, you can do bounty but harder to earn money. It's because the crypto market isn't the same as before. Most of the projects turn into the scam and do not pay hunters after the work. So it's up to you whether you want to waste your time there or improve yourself in some other sections.

Hope you got how you need to improve yourself by earning merits. So it's time to contribute to the forum. Improve your skill and contribute. Many users are here to help you.

Not some, most. Most of them don't pay. And those that pay even do so mostly with their unknown tokens which in most cases end up being worthless. Next time, I advise you to choose bounties run by reputable managers or only those bounties that pay with already listed tokens.

what can I do to increase my rank?
Nothing special you can do apart from churning out constructive posts. BTW, I glanced through your post history and that isn't looking bad. You just have to be more active and merits will find you.

Here are tips for choosing the right bounty

  • The thread bounty display of the project must be well designed and organized and contain interesting (informative) images. Bad bounty thread design = lack of fans.
  • Try carefully studying the ANN thread of the project. Pay attention to the products they will sell and their uses for consumers from the capital generated by the ICO/IEO income. If the product they sell are not clear, you can leave the project.
  • If a project is launched without an innovative idea and a clear technical description (whitepaper).. Leave it.
  • Try to check (website) the project and see how the design of the website. If the website looks cheap and bad design you should think twice about joining the project.
  • It's best to wait 2-3 days after the bounty thread is published. Look at the project Facebook and Twitter accounts for 2-3 days and see how many people (potential investors) follow or Like the project social media accounts. A good project will usually have a lot of followers on its social media account which indicates that it is of interest to many people.
  • Check spreadsheet, if the project is good usually there will be many accounts of Legendary, Hero, Sr.Member who join there (or you could say Bounty hunter senior) in the spreadsheet.
  • Be wary of the project's twitter account, if the project is indicated to use Auto Follow and FollowBack immediately stay away. Because it's a fraudulent trick of a project to deceive potential new investors.
  • If there is no limit on the number of participants who can participate in the bounty, it is certain that if the bounty is completed and followed by thousands of participants, the results obtained are very small.
  • If the project succeeds in achieving Soft Cap (the minimum funding target that must be achieved by a project for the sustainability of the project development going forward), then the project is worth monitoring and following.
  • If the Project does not have information about the team behind the project, immediately stay away from the project because a good project has clear team information that determines the success of the project.
  • If the Project has Source Code in Github, That could be a plus ++.
  • Make sure you try to read the Whitepaper of the project carefully, if it contains unclear and incomplete information in detailing the vision, mission, and goals of the project, let's leave it.
  • A bounty shouldn't take too long, a successful bounty usually takes 1 to 3 months to complete. If the project is in fact good and has strong potential, 1 to 3 months duration should be enough to promote the project. Long duration bounty = Very small income.
  • If you encounter several previous projects that have similar ideas and concepts to the project you just met but the ideas and concepts fail, it's better not to follow.
  • Do not participate in projects managed by Bounty Manager who have a bad reputation. Because it's likely that in the future he will commit fraud, especially at the end of the bounty (such as allocation cuts, Rarely responds to participant complaints, etc.).
  • Don't forget to check the project roadmap. Here you can check the future agenda that will be run by the project.

Some Important Tips about bounties

1. Get used to Read (Rules) before following a Bounty, check on the first page or on the last page of a bounty thread to make sure there are new rules from Bounty Manager.

2. Before you participate in a bounty, make sure you have free time to do weekly assignments, the most important thing is not to follow too many social media campaign. As a result, you can abandon the bounty that you follow in the future.

3. Each bounty has a different reporting time.  Make sure to get used to reading again (rules) or you can check the spreadsheet which usually shows bounty duration information.

4. Make a habit of always checking the spreadsheet to see the weekly stake. Sometimes Bounty Manager can forget or miss in giving stakes to each participant. If you encounter problems, please contact Bounty Manager or bounty telegram channel.

5. Join the telegram bounty group, because usually important information always comes first from the telegram group. Telegram groups can also be a place for you to ask some things you don't understand about the project you're advertising.

6. Try to join the community of fellow bounty hunters on social media, because by joining a community you can get new information about the bounty world and learn from seniors in the community, of course you can make new friends there.

You are here since 2017 and have earned 40 merits. It is not too high number but not too bad. You are much better than other bounty hunters who can not earn a single merit. I don't check how did you earn 40 merit. If you earned it from good posts, it means there are opportunities to earn merit and rank up.

Many members ranked up since January 2018 so you can be one of them, if you make good contribution.
