Yes, there were coins before that doesn't have that much volume but as time pass, it made cryptocurrencies more popular and that's the start where these coins were traded everywhere that made their volume higher.
It's still possible today but if a coin like that comes, the chance is not that high because most of the investors are learning the lesson the hard way of not investing to those kind of coins anymore.

Nothing is impossible in crypto space, its just that scam artists have make new projects look worse in the investors eye, it will be very hard to see startup projects that will be successful on the longrun unless the project has what it takes to gain investors heart
There is a possibility that some new coins will have that kind of growth in maybe 5 years or more but the chances of that happening is probably less than 1% since only a small percentage of new altcoins can survive in today's market. The altcoin hype period is over and we are moving into a market that demands real product that can be used in real life. As we know, not a lot of projects have that.

everything is possible. It was like the value of bitcoin was initially very low and now it has reached thousands of US dollars. So we often invest in low value currencies. Wait until they have higher value and sell off for profit. But you must really understand the potential of that coin. otherwise you will lose your money
