In 2018 we will see that there aren't many old altcoins in market. I have read a lot of text about, how new generation blockchain technology projects will take old projects's place. I think that this is likely to happen. Projects that can't adapt to development and that are behind technological progress will go away and the rest will be valued as much in 2018.

Every coin other than bitcoin is altcoin, so you don't need to write "other" with altcoins.
Exactly the investment is now diversified in differnt cryptos and this is the reason why bitcoin is not rapidly growing as like in 2017.
Well you can't say it that this year would be better or best for alts because all alts have different market reputation and background, so we can't take all alts in same category.

I think this will be the year of ETH. But Bitcoin will go back to at least 20k if the negative news from Asia and Europe dont continue bringing it down

My opinion is that the altcoins are the new "wild west" and you will have the biggest gains here but also the biggest losses.

If you do your research I think you can narrow down the coins that are worth investing

I was thinking that before we face the very serious issue from south korea which is making the most of crypto currency value was very strong down more than our imagination. However now already start recovering.

Yes already looking like its the year for altcoin where major crypto currency like ethereum , waves , NEM, Monero some ther will go to moon for sure some more projects like Ethlend , Power ledger , CAG , Centra really making good move . Overall if you having proper strategy you will get big profit this year.

Yeah definitely! The cryptomarket Cap is getting bigger. This year is a chance to other altcoins and ico to show up. Due to transaction problem on bitcoin, mostly new ico are using alt platform as gateway to the cryptoworld.
We are now overflowing of good/ best ico for this year that will bring a good profit to the investors.

maybe, what you say can come true. there are so many complaints about transaction costs and delays. this becomes a dilemma for all of us. but I still believe, bitcoin will bring a lot of performances this year.

Well, i can say it's a yes or just a nice timing of altcoins and others ICO to pump it over the bitcoin and a blockchain that comes in a big dump of its value. People who have investing of altcoins and ico because they think and believe they are good potential coin are more profitable this year.

You might be right. Because up till last couple of day I thought this year will be again bitcoin's year but I apparently changed my mind. The reason is when btc was recovering a bit, strong alts was recovering way faster than that.

I hope that this is not just the year for bitcoin only but the year for altcoin because this year give a good progress to cryptocurrency and the government is trying to open their eyes and realize that cryptocurrency exists among them. the interest of people is increase also and now we can see that for bitcoin price, there is a good time to increase higher and this also happen to altcoin too. I don't know about any scenario that maybe happens but I only see that this year, cryptocurrency will spread louder than before.

Since last year it had been the year of the ICO's.
There are too many of them to be mentioned. But as we can see there have been millions of dollars that had been invested to them.
With that happening, bitcoin investors have been halved making bitcoin just reach 19k dollars which could have been 40k dollars.
Now more and more of them are doing business in other coins. Maybe it could be the reason of the big fall.

If you have that much altcoins to hold you will probably say that it's the year of altcoins and if you are focused with bitcoin then every year is the year of bitcoin. The problem regarding the fees and confirmation delays on bitcoin's transaction we are dealing with can be solved soon but no idea on when it will exactly going to happen. Last year (2017), bitcoin, ETH and other altcoins moved crazily so it's better to say that 2018 is the year of cryptocurrencies, let's generalized it.

Yes I believed 2018 will the year of the Altcoins. People now preferred to invest in altcoin than bitcoin because altcoins are more profitable. But I still believed that Bitcoin will still be number in terms of marketcap. Bitcoin will consolidate for a few months or a year before making a big move again.
