Trust wallet is a software wallet. I think no software wallet is safe. You can use hardware wallet. It is safer than any software wallet. If you want to use Trust wallet, you need to write the seed phrase of your wallet very carefully. Trade can be done on dex exchange from trust wallet. You should visit the dex site very carefully while doing this trade. Because if you visit a phishing site, your wallet will be hacked.

There's no such safe in crypto even hardware is still not 100% risk free since it can be physically stole from you by thief in your house. This is same with software wallet and other wallet with open source feature. Although software wallet is highly relying on its developer its still safe if we use the tolerable level safety and not the typical paranoid safety because there is nomsuch wallet that offers 100% safe. It's still up to the user how they will increase there chance of safety of there wallet.

It is true that software wallets cannot be compared with hardware wallets, but today's software wallets also have a certain level of security. I think the level of security will depend on how people use it rather than the level of security it provides.

Even a hardware wallet if you don't use it securely and subjectively think it's a hardware wallet it will always be safe, I believe your assets will still be hacked as usual. If you have the conditions, you should use a hardware wallet, highly recommended. If you do not have the conditions, then a software wallet is the right choice. The most important thing is how you use and maintain it

I have several trust wallet accounts, but so far there are no problems or other problems. most of those who experience problems due to their own mistakes so that phishing occurs which many experience. As long as our key phrase doesn't fall into the hands of others, I think security can be maintained

This is a self-custody wallet you are the one holding the crypto the whole time and when you earn interest is not through c5 instead it is to true defy you to own the keys this it's not to say that defy doesn't have its own set of risks when using something like trust wallet you have the option to just simply hold your crypto or if you want you to have the option to participate in d5.

for example with something like a trusted wallet if you enter an interest you can do this by staking defy lending providing liquidity yield farming and nft farming this is entirely different in this case you are giving your money to smart contracts or you are delegating your rights to a staking protocol in that case though there are risks of hacks there is a risk of smart contract bugs again you do not have to participate in this type of interest-earning and when it comes to staking with trust wallet

most of the crypto that you stake is self-custody staking meaning that you hold on to your coins all you are doing is delegating your voting right so the risk there is that the validator or the staking poll won't pay you the rewards but you get to hold on to your coins so the risk is on the lower end so when it comes to trust wallet you can simply use it and just hold your crypto on there you don't have to participate in d5.

If your key is compromised then sorry It doesnt matter the wallet your funds will get wiped out although metamask is the most popular among EVM trustwallet is okay to use especially if you dont move much around DEFIs But when you move too much and trade alot I think metamask will be the best choice as some protocols wont support Trustwallet Also try not to sign anything you see online

Hardware wallets are the most recommendable for any crypto investors but if you can be very careful which platform you engage with then there will be no problem using a hot wallet like Trust wallet, the reason why hot wallets get hacked easily is because of how users handled the wallet.
It's not all of people can afford to pay hundreds bucks just to get hardware wallet but this is a good choice if he has enough money to buy it. Even if you are using hardware wallet if someone didn't manage to secure their wallet properly and it can still be hacked by scammers.
There are so many scammers these days that tried to hijack your money through use various method. Remember some people who became victim by scammers even they were using hardware wallet.

I have this installed on my smartphone but I usually just use it for small transactions and leaving a little fund for payments in NFT games. But whenever I sell my other coins that were earned from play-to-earn games I sell them quickly for BNB and then put them in safer storage.
It's not recommended to keep large amounts there. Just like the rule with an exchange, it may make your life easier storing your funds there but it will never be safe. There's always a chance something could go wrong leaving your money to disappear.

Based on my experience, all personal wallets are safe to use, because they are equipped with keys and phrases. But what is dangerous is when we use our personal wallet and then connect to some dangerous sites. This is what can hack our wallet

The safety of a wallet doesn't just depend on the secret phrases alone you should also consider other factors like if the developers are really transparent or not.
If it turns out that the wallet is a close source your funds could be in grave danger because you don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Even if how safe they or even trusted ones still there might be a loophole for hackers to penetrate and we need to be careful on those possible attacks so that we will not get any problem for using that wallet. I'm using metamask for long time but so far for my experience using it didn't much encounter any major issues.

Of course software wallets cannot be more secure than hardware wallets, but software wallets like metamask or trustwallet are safe enough to use in my opinion. How safe it is depends on who uses it, most cases of attacks or unexplained asset loss are due to user error, not wallet fault. A lot of people also use online wallets for years and never have a problem, but there are also many people who get hacked often. If you are knowledgeable and know how to protect your assets well then you don't need a cold wallet but if you are not good at it, a hardware wallet is the best solution for you.
There are always loopholes for wallets like trustwallet to be hacked. Usually the thing that often happens is that hacks start when they send spam tokens or coins, that is something that happens very often. Access to our wallet can be done if we make transactions with the tokens or coins they sent earlier (spam coins). I personally have been using trustwallet and metamask for a long time and so far nothing has happened. I've also received tons of tokens or coins that I don't recognize, but as long as we just ignore them nothing will happen.

The trustwallet itself has never had problems so far, most of the problems are due to user error but that also doesn't guarantee that it won't be hacked in the future. If you don't have a hardware wallet, split your assets into different wallets.

It's your fault when you frequently get spam tokens, not trustwallet or metamask's fault, if you use a hardware wallet and you use that address to participate in airdrop campaigns or publicize on social media, you will still receive those spam tokens. The best way is to keep the main wallet away from unnecessary connections and transactions, use it only for storage, you will never get those tokens.

Correct, normally trust will never hacked if we didn’t any mistake as like if we don’t connect our personal wallet to any scam/pishing sites, it’s totally up to you about wallets security. I didn’t heard trust wallet is hacked without wallet owners concern i mean it might be connected with any scam site.

Control is in your hands, the security of your wallet is also your responsibility. Moreover, the crypto world is very difficult to catch the hackers. No wallet is safe if we carelessly guard it, so my point is that we are all the same wallet if you compare Trustwallet and Metamask
Agreed even centralized exchange site that was implementing higher security to secure the funds can be exploited or hacked. there's no safe place in the crypto. If OP didn't care with his money and then he will lose his money easily. Our responsibility has become the main key to keep our money safe from hackers or any scammers in the crypto. There are so many scammers around crypto.

Absolutely right, online wallet is not 100% safe just you have to avoid to click any suspicious links, i'm using Trust wallet for the several years but i didn’t noticed any problem specially with trust wallet. I think comparatively trust wallet is more familiar then metamask, that's why i stopped to use Metamask.

The security of our funds is our full responsibility that is the law in the crypto world, I think we all agree with that. That's why you shouldn't be reckless in the crypto world and don't be easily tempted

It is always safer to keep your digital assets in cold wallet. At least keep the vast majority of your assets in cold wallet and use trustwallet type of wallet providers for your low amounts imo.

Just for a thought, I never trust a company that has "trust" in its name lol Grin

There are many cryptocurrency wallet softwares like metamask, trustwallet. I'm currently using Trustwallet to store my cryptocurrencies. I heard some people say that it can be hacked!
Can people hack my trustwallet?
Is it safe?
How to protect my trustwallet account?
Thanks in advance ♡
Trust Wallet is a very popular wallet these days. It has gained a lot of popularity in the world today. At one time, all the wallets that people used were not very secure and most of the cases were hacked. But I have not heard any hacking news of this trust wallet. I think this trust wallet is very security complete. But whoever uses it has some precautions, he must place the private phase in a good place so that no one can steal it.True Trust Wallet is very secure.

One thing you must do to keep your TW safe is to keep your mnemonic phrase out of reach and also be very careful with the smart contract you interact with.

I have been using TW for a very long time now, and I have never had issues with my wallet. And there are many others also who can say the same.
If you're careless, your wallet will be hacked.
Never be tempted to save your password, key phrase in your email.

I've been using Truswallet since 2020 and until now Truswallet is still very safe,
I really like Truswallet because it's very easy to use and even supports wallet connect,
so don't hesitate to use Trust Wallet, backup your passphrase and dont forget if you want your wallet to be safe.

Would you go to a dealership named "honest guys car dealership?" If they have to put it in the name, it probably isn't true. Maybe I'm just being silly, idk, but I don't trust them.

Grin that is very funny the way you put it in there with the dealership thing. I would suspect them too based on their name like you said but I think because Binance is backing it alot of people trust it based on Binance. That was how it won my trust the first time I learnt about it. And since then I have not had any regret using it. When people talk about wallet security they have to also know that alot of it depends on the person using it. If you are careless about the security of your wallet you can endanger it by mistakenly exposing it.

As far as i know, Trustwallet is the official wallet solution from Binance. So i would guess that trustwallet was tested heavily for bugs or possible loopholes for hackers, so i would say that trustwallet should have the same level of security than metamask. That being said, trustwallet is a software that you have on your phone or on your pc as a browser extension and this means there is definitely the possibility that it gets hacked and that you funds will get stolen, but that possibility is pretty small in my opinion.
As others in this thread have already said, if you want maximum security for your tokens or coins then you should use a hardware wallet like ledger or trezor.

Even if how safe they or even trusted ones still there might be a loophole for hackers to penetrate and we need to be careful on those possible attacks so that we will not get any problem for using that wallet. I'm using metamask for long time but so far for my experience using it didn't much encounter any major issues.

Keep your cryptocurrency funds secure crypto wallet security is crucial for holding and investing in cryptocurrencies as more people use and invest in crypto having a safe wallet is crucial not all crypto wallets are equal the most popular metamask only supports ethereum based tokens but trust wallet's multi coin support is unmatched in addition to crypto storage Trust wallet offers purchasing staking and swapping it's versatile wallet app but it's not secure it's best for transactions not storage Trustwallet is as secure as Metamask but relies more on computer security than hardware small doses are safe if you're storing a lot of tokens use multiple hardware wallets with different wallets and passphrases to avoid getting scammed when signing erc transactions.
