Napoli will have to reset their targets in this season as they can continue in Champions League and will not give up early. If they have chance, they will try to go as farthest as possible like the last season. In Serie A, they have a different situation as they no longer have chance to defend Scudetto and currently falls beyond top four. In this season they have more challenges from clubs like AS Roma, Lazio, Atalanta for top four position and I also see Bologna and Fiorentina are trying to make surprise.

I agree with you and I also think Napoli should normally win this game against Cagliari and I'm saying this based on the last games we saw from these two teams. In the last five meets these two teams had recently Cagliari could never beat Napoli and they lost three games and they had two draws in the games they had before. However, the rates of Cagliari are very high but I think we should not risk about this match between these two teams.


 

Yeah, the challenge that Mazzarri has to overcome to take Napoli in a better and stronger direction is quite big. He seems to have to reshape and rebuild Napoli not only from his squad but also from the strength of his teamwork and spirit. Satisfactorily, they won their UCL game against Braga which gave them the push to the next phase of the contest. Now their focus and work would be on attaining good results in both races. Basically, they've got to do better than average.

 By weekend, they'd go against Cagliari who's not much of a tough team and it's expected that with Mazarri's input and the caliber of squad in Napoli, at least a win would be bagged. Maybe Cagliari would be a boost to their confidence and a beginning of their above average performances. The race is still on in the league and even if there's nothing else to fight for, they've got to struggle for an European cup ticket for the next season

In theory, Napoli must win against Cagliari. Napoli has a better squad and they also will play the match at home. However, I agree that we don't underestimate any team in Serie A because the small team can be an obstacle if they can play as a solid team during the match.
