I hope the bad effects of last year will not be repeated this year.  For this, we need to reduce the effects of the Omicron variant together.  Football fans are watching the match comfortably in the stands.  This brings great joy to football.  The enjoyment of the match played in empty stadiums also decreases.  Let's hope it doesn't affect Serie A like that.  I hope the matches will not be postponed and not without fans.  This year has been a very enjoyable and exciting season.  I hope there will be no problems in the second half of the season.

I heard that Europe is have several country that has seen the Omicron increase quite rapidly in the last few weeks. Maybe it's better to limit the audience to take steps to prevent victims from being exposed to this new COVID. Indeed, we would prefer to see football with thousands of spectators, but if it endangers the health of each other, it is better to limit supporters.
I don't think limiting fans will do nothing to avoid this covid, because it can even get to houses where people will be,and moreover, the fans are used to seeing their players perform life, and when the players are cheered up by their fans,it gives them Xtra boost and energy to want to do more.
A situation whereby their is no fans to cheer their players up and give them hope will be a frustration

In Serie B, the 19th and 20th week matches were postponed due to the increasing coronavirus cases.  If Serie A goes like this, I think the first week matches may be postponed.  The first measure for this was the ban on non-vaccinated football players.  Players who are not vaccinated in Serie A will not be able to play in the matches.

The coronavirus might be come to another new wave with omicron, I also heard there is a rumor of delmicron (delta + micron).
Hopefully after this omicron, the pandemic ends and it becomes endemic so it has no more dangerous effect.
Sad to see many matches have to be postponed due to this new variant of covid virus.
I think physical distancing in stadium among supporters should be done stricher to minimize virus transmission between supporter.

Not only in Italy, several league competitions in Europe are also experiencing the same problem, namely the increasing number of corona virus attacks on football players and clubs, this season there have been several cases in several Serie A clubs and even the Italian football authorities have implemented strict rules in suppressing the current spread of corona, one of the steps taken by the Italian football authorities is to reduce the capacity of the number of spectators attending the stadium to 50%, and showing Super Green Pass cards or proof of vaccinations, I think these strict regulations will also apply to all players, coaches and club staff who will compete later.

On the other hand, in the event of a defeat or even a draw, Juventus will significantly worsen its position in the fight for 4th place. Therefore, Napoli in this match can safely play on counterattacks, knowing that Juventus will be forced to take risks and open up. Therefore, the result of this match is far from obvious to me. By the way, I would not say that the bookmakers are very confident in the victory of Juventus, although of course it is rated as a favorite.
1.86 - 3.65 - 4.1
I am also like that if it is based on odds, because when a team on paper (maybe) wins but the bookie gives odds higher than @1.7, for me it is enough to make me doubt too. But if I have a solid foundation and am sure to keep choosing, then I can also ignore those odds and feel proud that at least the odds I get can be higher. Anyway, Juventus have a big winning mentality and in this match Juventus should have won, I only consider the worst result is a draw and Juventus will not lose, Imo.

By the way, it seems to me that the bookmakers are close to my analysis of how the game will play - the odds of a draw or a win for Napoli are approximately equal. That is, if Napoli come out ahead, then they will not miss the advantage, as they will play on the defensive, but the chance that they will come out ahead is small, so a draw has the same chances. Juventus has great chances to come out ahead and maintain the advantage as it will play on the attack and are more likely to come out first, which will give it a big advantage.

Against Napoli is a very good moment for Juventus to be even closer to overtaking them, because even though Juventus won the reality is Juventus will still be in the same position in 5th place behind Atalanta. But yes, after all Juventus must be able to stop or hinder the progress of the team that is above it, the only way is to win the match against Napoli and I personally am quite sure Juventus will get the expected result although indeed, of course it will be a difficult job.

This is very worrying. Matches are being postponed in order. Its effects can be seen in Serie A.
Now all clubs should take appropriate action. Bringing players back under restrictions. The health of the players and the club must be adhered to. Omicron is growing at an alarming rate. If you are not aware now, you will face more problems later. And many matches like last year may be postponed again.

Side news but don't know where to post since is related but a little of topic.

The Italian Supercup between Juventus and Inter, winner of Italian cup and winner of Serie A, will be probably postponed from 10th ish of January to middle April.

Now this is news for me,,, I am following Italian league a bit more closely this season than others because of prediction pools. I had no idea that this takes place in the middle of the season in Italy. In England it is the opening match of the season,,, now it makes me wonder which other leagues also do it the same or if every country is different Smiley

The only game today should be a fun one to watch between valencia and espanyol valencia are the favourite since they are only two points from the fourth position with three consecutive wins while espanyol are 5 points behind them with unstable results i think valencia will have difficulties but i think they can win this one.

Inter and Juve claimed to postpone the game considering the wide spread of the new variant of the virus but they have to wait for the League Council to accept this request. So far the game is still scheduled January 12.

It will make the race for Scudetto and top 4 in Serie A become more interesting. Napoli, Atalanta are falling down and Juventus are rising to replace them in top 4. AC Milan will try to fight tightly with Inter Milan for Scudetto.
yes, it looks like Juventus is starting to improve its performance. the last two games with definite wins, very convincing Juve to continue to threaten Atalanta and Napoli whose performances have decreased slightly.
Napoli itself won against Milan but lost to Spezia. while Atalanta had to lose heavily to Roma and draw against Genoa. Juve has the opportunity to shift positions 4 and 5. although it is difficult because in the next match Juve must beat Napoli.

Serie A, which has quite a long holiday for players and this should give new energy and enthusiasm after a long period of time can be used to rest.
Many leagues have long holidays for Christmas and New year which are important in Western nations. England do different things than others so let them be. Generally most of leagues have 20 clubs and same total rounds (39 rounds) so only Premier League decide to do tough tournament in New year time in order to satisfy fans and get more income from television rights, etc.

It can bring side effects for their national team which comes to big tournaments (World Cup, Euro) with exhausted physical fitness. They should change this strategy but if they don't, let them be.

Quote
These two big games the four clubs definitely expect to get 3 points but my prediction is Milan and Juventus will win, I prefer to bet on BTTS in these two matches or over 2.5.

Left seven days later with Serie A competition on second half begin and now many player still take holiday with new year and most enjoyed league as Serie A they can take party on Christmas day and player have time for family except with Primer League keep running on holiday with boxing day label. First match on second half for Serie A give many big match like AC milan vs AS Roma and Napoli vs Juventus where all team want to win and take great position standing and begin with three points in new year.
Yeah, the EPL may be the only league that doesn't have a Christmas or New Year's holiday, because on January 1 there will be a match, in contrast to Serie A, which has quite a long holiday for players and this should give new energy and enthusiasm after a long period of time can be used to rest.

what Simeone is worried about is certainly very reasonable, because from some of the experiences that have existed so far, it is precisely the team that won the half-season that often experienced inconsistencies when the second round of Serie A began, and not even a few clubs that initially won the half-season had to end in failure champions like Milan last season.
The second round of matches will be played in a week and both teams now have enough time to rest their players, I think Bologna which is currently in 10th position is not a difficult opponent for Inter Milan, especially in the first round Inter Milan managed to beat Bologna with a high score 6-1.
I think that Bologna should keep in mind the result of the first round and therefore should make every effort so that this does not happen again, so I am not sure that Inter expects an easy walk in this match Wink By the way, the head coaches of teams that have such successful series are usually not very happy when such a long break occurs, which can knock the team off the rhythm already gained. Therefore, it looks very commendable that Simone Inzaghi has a sound view of things and understands perfectly well that only half of the work has been done and the main struggle is still ahead. We have already seen the unconditional leadership of Napoli in the first part of the championship and how this leadership melted away in just a few rounds due to the unsuccessful results of the matches.
Based on teams that are in the top 11, Bologna is the team that has conceded the most goals after lazio and empoli with 31 goals conceded in 19 matches, their poor defense is almost the same as their blunt front line which has so far only been able to score 27 goals, I think the skuad quality that Inter Milan and Lazio have will make the difference in that match later, without underestimating Bologna at the moment, but I am sure that Inter Milan will again win big in that match.
