Smart is not enough, there must be skills
I think UEFA will wait in the next few weeks if the situation gets worse so I am sure that this champions league competition will be suspended until waiting for the stability of each region but until now every country and government has done everything possible to neutralize and prevent this Covid-19 so do not start to pamain that is very important.

Spanish league suspended
Italian league suspended
The English league seems like there is no deferment yet
EPL is suspended also and if we take on consideration the number of isolated players/managers, those tested positive, the time for recovery, and the infection spread across different countries, the postponed UEFA CL/EL games will not be played before Mid-April if we are very very optimistic

And hearing the news also that 2 positive juventus players affected by Covid-19 is very concerned that if this continues then isolation is very important where affected will be replaced as far as possible will not not be infected with the other.

This year is a very sad year where UEFA CL / EL etc. will be postponed for some time to come, meaning that this week we will not see sporting activities around the world.

It’s really sad to read about players and coaches getting infected because of COVID-19, but on the bright side all of Juventus players who were placed under quarantine have tested negative which is really good for the club. Further their match against Lyon has also been postponed amid fears that UEFA may cancel Champions League this season, however there’s no official word yet by UEFA whether it’ll be canceled or no.

Gabbiadini, another Italian players have been found positive in Serie A.

Also, they are talking/waiting for 3 positive players from Leicester.

The situation is getting worse and the players already affected by this Covid-19 must be extra high alert because the player is very important if infected quickly then this is a big problem for the team.

Btw European cup competition also between Inter Milan vs Getafe was postponed because of this Covid-19.
Now day by day we are facing worst things as many players and officials already effected with this virus and authorities are not comfortable with this all situation but sadly they have no good options for survive which is also not easy as these all things happen.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has been tested positive for Coronavirus.  Embarrassed
https://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2020/communication-urgent.php
He is not experiencing any symptoms but the test results came back as positive.

He was part of the team vs Inter and is in the group picture that was posted on social media where the players are celebrating in the dressing room following the victory.
At this stage, no more information has been released.

This is so bad news.
I think that the Serie A league is going to have serious problems after those incidents.
All teams should start checking the health of their players and be very cautious because Rugani and other players 100% interacted with more than one players in the league.

Rugani is the second football players were detected with positive results from the test. It is normal to know that Rugani has not yet shown any symptoms because the biggest report on the Covid-10 (from China) shows the firgure of 80 % of infected people have mild symptoms (and more people in community don't have symptoms).

Such players in Germany and Italy put huge pressure on their local football foundations and the UEFA. Playing matches in close stadiums now looks not a good choice. Players still can spread the virus to each other and play as carriers of the virus to spread it out farther.

Oh! This shit has gotten way out of hands, I just heard the news too. Does that mean the Juventus team could be in isolation and hence be unavailable for the UCL fixture next week ?

If they will do that it will be not so bad in the and.
They will do a big mistake and create a big complain only if they will put Inter back on the race for no reason.

And to add I don't think both Juventus and Lazio need to worry about Inter if the League title was up for grabs. If they are the top 2 teams in the Serie A then they don't have anything to worry about since they already have proven in the regular season that they can win some games. Lazio during their last outing against Inter have won by 2 goals while Inter didn't even convert a single goal, they also have defeated Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana finals where they scored 3 goals while Juve scored 1 goal only. They are really a good team playing in the Europa league as well, so if the management in Serie A decided to make the league title a free for all then I don't think anyone after the 2nd have a good chance of claiming the title.

From the news I am reading about the potential Serie A playoffs, the matches will somehow be the first and the second spot battling for the league title while the 3rd and 4th spot battling for the 3rd championship spot meaning Juventus will face against Lazio for the league title while Inter will face Atalanta for the 3rd spot which I think is the best play off proposal for the top teams of the league. We may are seeing varying reports about the potential playoffs so I won't really judge it right now since we still have a month to see the official plan for Serie A

The playoffs proposal is the best option so far...
I don't think it is because Inter doesn't deserve the same chance to win the league as Lazio and Juventus. They are 9 points behind (with one match less to be fair). But even if they win that one match they are behind Juve by 6 points. If Inter is to take part in some sort of playoff they should have a handicap of lets say 1 or 2 goals that they would need to make up.

Same thing for the 4th place. Atalanta and Roma are battling for it. Napoli and Milan are far, far away. They can't have the same treatment as the first two.

I'm sure that Juve and Lazio will do a strong opposition if they want to do playoff cause Inter is 9 points away maybe 6 if they win the missing game.

Also, I think they can accept a 2 teams playoff.
They can do nothing in the actual situation. Best thing that they could hope of, is to resume playing in April.
Serie A is at risk to be cancelled this year, all depends from the number of contamination whether it will regress or not by the end of March...

I have read that there are 3 possible scenarios. Whatever option they chose isn't the best and is unfair to some.

1. They could end the season early and not allocate the title to anyone. Similar to what happened with the one Serie A title that was stripped off from Juve during Calciopoli.

2. A playoff between the best teams like coinlocket$ mentioned is also an alternative.

3. Or the title would be awarded to the leading team at the moment the season got interrupted.

None of these are perfect solutions. Hopefully the league can be finished when the situation gets better.
Nothing has been decided yet. In football, everything can change and Serie A has lots of matches left. It is unfair to end seasons instantly and too early like that. But it is real life and there are more important leagues (Euro) and Serie A next season too, so in some conditions, a kind of decision will be made, even there are massive arguments on it.

Playoffs to get winner and slots for European leagues is good one but if FIGC do it, they will have to take a range of candidates for playoff matches. And criteria to decide playoff teams will create massive complaints too.

The playoffs proposal is the best option so far considering that teams chasing for that Champions League and Europa League could be given another chance, of course the disadvantage here would be the ones who are already qualified for those spots which I think the management on those teams will oppose on making it happen. Also are there any talks about a playoff happening for the teams who will be relegates? Among the three teams who will be relegated Lecce seems to have a high chance of avoiding it since they are near with Genoa, Sampdoria, and Torino. Having a 4 team playoff can be a possible and fair solution for them.

Another downside I see for the Serie A league is the upcoming transfer window. I know we still have a lot of months left but we don't know if things will be better or if Serie A will push through with their April plans so if things gets worst I am certain that Serie A teams won't attract good players to play in Italy especially if they won't be playing any games, I might even see some big names go out of Italy because of this.
