Give all before death
An interesting match with a result I didn't even expect Cheesy Will Napoli now repeat the same result as last season where they won't be part of a club that can compete for the Scudetto.
Verona's 3 goals really showed that even though they had a lot of possession and chances and dominated almost 90 minutes of the match, in the end it could not be used as an advantage because their defense was quite vulnerable and weak especially when the opponent's quick counterattacks.

Conte must make the situation better now because after all with the current condition of course Napoli is not okay. On the other hand, I also didn't see Osimhen in the squad they brought in today's match, is there really going to be new news that he will really leave Napoli when the transfer window closes soon?

The score line was unexpected, and I wouldn't have bet that Napoli would lose to Verona by this goal margin. The former champion controlled the game but created few chances. Even the chances that were created brought no good results. Verona had had four shots and target, which resulted in three goals. The host was able to use the counterattack each time they had the privilege and I worked perfectly for them.

I don't know the rationale behind benching players who are yet to complete their transfer move. It is because the club wants to protect them from injuries or make the team get used to their absence. Maybe Napoli wants to keep Victor Osimhen injury-free because any issues might discourage interested clubs from signing him. It might also be that Antonio Conte wants to build a team without the influence of the Nigerians so that they can play comfortably without him.

The loss is not a good beginning for the new Italian coach. The fans expected much from him after a disastrous last season where three coaches were sacked because of the club's poor performance. Conte is an experienced and well-respected coach, but he has to prove it or face the same fate as others.

Disappointing turn so far for the "big" teams in Serie A.
Inter Milan Roma Napoli all lost points versus weak teams.

For the "bigs" only Lazio managed to get 3 points.

Tomorrow will be the turn for Atalanta and Juventus, and both teams are no in a good shape.

Atalanta is fighting against 2 of his players that wants to leave, and Jvuentus are short in men in the squad.

Interesting start of the season.
A big disappointment for the top big teams, they all drop points as they played draw in their matches.

Napoli lost shamelessly to Hellas Verona; it think Conte have a lot of work to do, they should try to hold Osimhen down for some times because as it stands, the team have no squad depth and they will suffer it when the season looks tough.

Only two teams have won their matches so far, and none of the top four teams are among them, I hope Atalanta and Juventus can be able to win their respective matches tomorrow to take the lead.

Yeah this was a pretty good opening match and what Genoa did in today's match was really outstanding where they not only frustrated Inter's attacking players with their defense but they were also able to trouble Inter's defense in today's match.
I actually had a prediction that Genoa would play passively by defending all the time but their performance broke my prediction because they played bravely by trying to keep up with Inter's fast game in today's match.
1 Point becomes very valuable and it is worth it for Genoa to get in today's match because they really deserve it.
On the other hand, for the first 4 matches it seems that Serie A is quite tight where only 1 point from each team playing today.

This is definitely a good hope because with this we still hope that the competition for Serie A becomes more interesting even though we are still at the beginning of the season.
The results of the match were very surprising, all ended in a draw, and it was quite unique. Previously I thought Inter Milan, AC Milan and Fiorentina could secure full points in the opening match, because they were more dominant than their opponents. While the results of the Empoli versus Monza match were fair for both teams, because they were not more dominant than each other. Inter Milan could be said to be unlucky, because they failed to maintain their lead in the final minutes. While AC Milan could be said to be quite lucky, because they were able to escape defeat before the match ended.

On the other hand, with a number of draws indicating that Serie A this season has become more competitive, difficult to predict and of course will be more interesting to follow. In addition, we are certainly very curious about the course of the next match, overall it is a match between the top and non-top teams. In theory Napoli, Bologna, Roma, Lazio, Atalanta and Juventus have a higher chance of securing full points, but the results of the match could be the opposite. Personally I am very curious about Napoli performance under the new manager Conte, hopefully they can rise so they can enliven the Scudetto fight in this season.
Their chances of winning are actually very large but this is football where clubs that are smaller in level also certainly want good results and that is what Genoa and Torinio showed in yesterday's match.
Milan and Inter were the favorites in yesterday's match and indeed the confidence in showing dominance was very good but their opponents Genoa and Torino also played very well which made them have to be willing to share 1 point in the first match.

There is hope that this season will be much more competitive than before but on the other hand we also still have to continue to wait for what the continuation will be like for Serie A because after all, we are only entering the first week and that means this season will still be very long to wait for how it will be like.

Napoli just got destroyed by Verona which was totally unexpected. This was Conte’s first match in Serie A as the manager of Napoli. But he totally fumbled.  I think not having Osimhen cost him very badly.  Napoli had the majority of the possession, 67%. This means they had 2/3rd of the possession of the whole game, had twice the total passes but an equal amount of shots on target. Napoli had 14 shots but Verona had only 9 shots. Which shows that chance execution has been very poor by Napoli. Honestly, I am surprised by this result as well.
In the last nine years, this is the first time Napoli is loosing out in their first game for the season, also it was disheartening for conte that he lost thia bad on his first game after promising a huge revive for the team this season. I believe he may be able to correct this sour note upon which he has started the season because if he's not able to do so, it will definitely be a long one for him and it will be very disappointing after raising the hopes of everyone such that expectations are even with the mind that he may win the league title this season, it was a very terrible start a d ofcourse a bad day for Napoli.

beautiful match for AC Milan who performed well to be the first, it wasn't easy to start with a bang, and a draw is fine, it was a tough match and it was likely that it would happen, in the meantime I wanted to show you that AC Milan's always Camandra in Serie C he scored two goals, but I wonder why not let a player like that play in the first team!
Of a fact it was a beautiful game and the performance from AC Milan was brilliant but in the long run people values results the most and gives little credence to performance whenever the two aren't corresponding, in fact a poor performance that yielded a good result is most times appreciated the most and and even rewarded as more productive than with brilliant performance. I know the season just started and AC Milan will want to make up for this in subsequent games hopefully. When they get to play in their next fixtures in the season, they are going to meet a less tougher team whose not going to stress them like they had in this first game.
I don't know why Milan allowed themselves to be so loose to the point that Genoa scored them two goals before they woke up from their slumber on the 83rd minutes of the match. I never expected a draw in that na tch but Milan was able to motivate themselves after scoring the first goal anecdote that led to them equalizing both goals to end the match a draw.

I admire their zeal of not giving up and fought out of defeat. However, if Milan did not take their next match serious they might end up in a draw which is not good if they intend to win the trophy this season because some clubs won their matches and secured three point.

Yesterday, four games ended in a draw in the beginning of the 2024/25 season in the Serie A and we'd be hoping to see different scored in today's two games and if I'm being honest, I'm more certain there will be more hopes of Bologna winning and producing a win than in the game between Napoli and Verona.
It's Conte's first game in charge this season and I'm doubtful Osimhen will play the game which leaves more responsibility on the shoulders of  kvaratskhelia. Napoli of late haven't been in fine form and knowing how they've struggled, teams will be looking to take advantage and get three points and Hellas Verona won't be any different. Can Conte bring in a new pattern to bolster the team's confidence or will we be seeing a continuation of last season's imbalance?
The match between Napoli and Verona has entered the 65th minute and while Napoli is one goal behind Verona after Livramento managed to score a goal in the 50th minute, Napoli managed to dominate today match even though they were playing at Verona home ground, however their high dominance over Verona was not giving them a better chance to score goals in the match, Napoli managed to create a lot of kicks towards the goal but only a few shots were on target so far, very contrast to Verona which actually had difficulty breaking through Napoli defense but was more effective when they got a chance in front of the Napoli goal, Osimhen absence from today match had a negative impact on the sharpness of Napoli attack line and even Kvaratskhelia who was Conte mainstay today, was unable to do much and must replaced by Raspadori after suffering an injury.

Meanwhile in other match, currently Bologna is able to take a 1-0 lead over Udinese after Orsolini was able to maximize his penalty in the 57th minute.
Although currently Udinese and Napoli are behind their opponents, there is still plenty of time for both of them to equalize the score and maybe even make a comeback before the match is over

Another match I am excited about is the match between Roma and Cagliari. This is De Rossi’s first match with his squad of Roma. The match is currently ongoing and the score is 0-0 and it's almost 60 minutes ongoin. Lazio vs Venezia is also ongoing and the score is level with 2-1. But I will be keeping a close eye on the match of Roma vs Cagliari.

Yesterday I was also surprised because I thought both the big teams from Milan, AC Milan and Inter Milan would be winning their matches but both of them started their season with a 2-2 score draw.

heavy defeat for Napoli this evening.
As I told you the match was definitely not easy for the blue team.
Verona has always been a tough opponent.
Conte took responsibility for the defeat but it must also be said that the team is certainly not complete considering the various problems with the Osimhen negotiation, he should have been sold in the first few days and just over 10 days from the end of the transfer market he is still in the team.
Napoli still seems like a team that is not ready to face this season. Because usually Napoli rarely lose when facing Verona. And even if I count back, Napoli have actually never lost against Verona in the last 7 matches. and the last time Napoli lost was in the 2021 season. And now Napoli lost to Verona and with a fairly big score. yes Conte is responsible for this defeat. And indeed Napoli's squad is not yet complete due to Osimhen not being released and Lukaku also not being brought in. So Conte only relies on the players he currently has. And he hasn't found his main strength in the attack line. The transfer market is almost over and if Osimhen cannot be released then Osimhen will rejoin the squad. I hope Conte plays him. Because after all, Napoli's sharpness is quite influential with the presence of Osimhen.

A little pessimistic after entering the second half of the match was still a goalless draw, I thought maybe in these two matches it would also be the same as the first 4 matches which ended with a draw. If this result ends equal to the first 4 matches then it will be interesting because Velum has a club that can become the first club HISA won. Napoli dominated the match, they did not even give Verona the opportunity to hold the ball and carry out attacks. But they also could not go deeper into Verona's defense, because Verona played defensively to complicate Napoli.

And yes, he was a goal that was created by Verona to surprise Napoli. I just said that Napoli did not give Verona the opportunity, but at the same time it was Verona who could create goals in the match. It is still enough time for Napoli to be able to equalize and reverse the situation. Or will this be a debut that does not wear for Conte?
Verona managed to get three points on the road and make Napoli's problems Conte-nue. Grin. For now, they lead the table with not just three points, but with a clean sheet to boot. Personally I think Napoli are struggling this much because they don't have that front man that can deliver and that Conte can work with. I wonder if thos will make his desire to go for Lukaku much stronger or he'd settle for using Osimhen if the deal with Chelsea doesn't pull through because like this they are not encouraging fans. Even as they did not make it to champions league competition, at least they should build themselves up, take advantage of the new season and pick up, become better else the 10th position they ended at last season could even be worse this time around.

Morata coming off the bench and scoring? That's what you want from a new signing. The guy's a born goal-scorer. But , Milan was getting their asses kicked for most of that game. Two goals down until the 89th minute? That's not a blip, that's a problem. Milan's defense is leaking like a sieve.  Fonseca better figure that out fast, because Parma ain't gonna roll over. They'll expose those weaknesses and punish you

Morata's great, but he can't do it all alone. Milan needs to find that balance. Attack with flair, sure, but don't forget to defend.  Otherwise, they'll be chasing games all season
I don't know how, but I see that several of the favorite clubs this time all have the same problem, namely that their defense really needs to get more attention from the coach. Because the mistakes are mostly in the defense line. Not only AC Milan but Inter Milan is also the same. And the worst in defense this time is Napoli. I hope Juventus, Roma and Lazio don't make mistakes in their attack. Even though Lazio started by conceding, at least they are now adapting and improving.

Score updates for the two matches currently underway are still a draw. Cagliari vs Roma is still 0-0 and Lazio vs Venezia is still 1-1.

What a recover for Milan.
They were losing 2-0 and they managed to recover up to 2-2 at 95.

If you see this game as 2 points lost you are wrong.
This is more 1 point gained.

And, 1st goal for Morata whit his new club in Italy, the 1st one scored without Juventus jersey.

Napoli turn tomorrow and I don't think it will be that easy...

Good start from Morata in the game against Genoa. He scored his goal while playing for AC Milan for the first time and this can be a good start for any player. I'm sure now the fans of AC Milan will thank Morata for this performance and he is going to be very famous if he continues to have this performance again in AC Milan. He started playing in AC Milan 60 minutes after the start of the game and he was smart enough to use the opportunity he had in this match to score his first goal.
The game between these two teams finished with a 2-2 result.

Morata debuted with AC Milan and was quite outstanding! Coming off the bench no less, scoring in your debut game is the kind of winning spirit we want to see. Some would argue now that it's too early to get thrilled, perhaps having a valid point. Although Serie A has had a rather poor start this season, this has not decreased Morata's performance. What counts is what he shown to us, his capacity.

The way Pioli employed him as a solitary striker also intrigues me. It worked obviously in this game, but we'll have to watch how that approach performs over time. Maybe in some games we will see him teamed with another forward; who knows? There are countless opportunities here.

So far there have been 5 matches that have ended in a draw. But the worst is Napoli. Because I think that's Napoli's worst record at the start of the season. Because at the start of the previous season Napoli was not this bad. Well Napoli played and controlled the game well. but they are really weak in defense. I think losing 3-0 to Verona was quite embarrassing for Conte's debut in the first week of Serie A. In pre-season, Napoli only played against a few ordinary teams. So the results don't really show that Napoli are weak. It's just that Napoli's weaknesses began to appear in pre-season when they faced Girona. And what was feared has now happened. Napoli started the season by losing 3 points.

Currently there are two matches taking place, namely the Cagliari vs Roma match and the Lazio vs Venice match. And as we have seen this season, several clubs that were considered weak were able to surprise them by holding teams that were considered strong to a draw. Inter Milan and AC Milan only got 1 point at the start of the season. And only Verona has collected full points so far. And I think Lazio will be the second to get full points.

Yes, AC Milan performed well, but it was not up to my satisfaction. Drawing is not what we would expect from AC Milan against Torino at AC Milan’s home. As a team, we are expecting that they will fight for this season’s Serie A league trophy. For any team that wants to win a trophy, especially the league, they really need to start very well by winning matches. True, a draw may not be a bad result, but in some ways, it is a bad result if other tough competitor teams manage to win.

I don't want to say much about them now, but I would like to see what happens in their second match. If they can secure a win, it will show that they may be ready to fight for this season’s league. However, if they lose points again in the next match, I may start judging that they will just fight for a top-four finish because gathering points in the early stages of the season is better than struggling toward the end.

Are we expecting victories from Napoli, Roma and Lazio today?
I think that Lazio will be able to beat the newcomer to Serie A, Venezia, at home, this is perhaps the only match that looks more or less clear. I think it will not be easy for Roma, but they have a very good chance to start this season with a victory, and immediately gain an advantage over Inter and Milan. De Rossi has a good team, they have strengthened the attack, so I expect goals from Roma and a victory.

Roma, strengthened over the summer, looks like a contender for the top four in Serie A. After a mid-season coaching change last year, Roma’s performance improved significantly, and they finished the season in sixth place. Last season, Roma defeated Cagliari twice, scoring four goals in each match. Given their current form, Roma is likely to extend their winning streak against Cagliari. My prediction: a Roma victory.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
2 interesting games today.
Verona Napoli will be the 1st game in Naples for Conte in serie A and tit will be not a so easy game.

Bologna Udinese will also be an interesting benchmark, can Bologna be competitive after losing 2 key players like Calafiori and Zirkzee and their Coach?
Osimhen wasn't on the matchday roster today so he might leave and rumor has it he wants to go to PSG rather than Chelsea, so Conte has no plans with Osimhen.

At the time of writing Napoli are a goal behind Verona, what a way to lose.

I wonder how Bologna can survive this game I think they can win it, some important players have left including the coach meaning Bologna are in a new situation.
