Juventus need to play better in this season and their task is nothing less than taking Scudetto from Inter Milan. They were supposed to win Scudetto last season when they only played in Serie A but they finally ended the past season not too good. This season is another challenging season for them to beat Inter Milan for lifting Scudetto after recent years losing it to Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli and Inter Milan.

They actually feel bad about their performances in Serie A recent seasons because before these failed seasons lately, they dominated Serie A in many years. From an impressive domination that lasts for 9 consecutive seasons to failures in latest seasons, it's big difference and it's bad that difference means worse results.

I believe the Lukeman case is as a result of them losing to Madrid, I feel he wasn't happy with that loss and if you check all these Italian clubs always have this one season wonder, that's they perform better in the first season and after that they become awful in the next season, I think that's another reason why Lukeman should leave but still he made a wise choice by leaving the side. The player needs a better club like PSG that are coming for him and I know he'll excel in the French league.
Atalanta need to continue with this form since all other big clubs are losing that strength of getting the job done, Inter Milan especially, they suppose to show why they are the champions of Italian league last season but they played a draw but that shouldn't be why we have to say they're going to perform badly, we just have to wait and even look at how the Atalanta side will play out their 4-5 games before we can say they're good to go.

Maybe even though Juventus is still under Allegri's coaching, Juventus might still be able to win against Como, which is just a club that has just been promoted from Serie B. But I also like how Thiago Motta has made Juventus' strategy and playing style feel more alive at the moment. And even Como is a club that doesn't seem to be able to do much to get close to Juventus' defense. All of this is thanks to Juventus' game which looks balanced between all lines. But I probably can't judge that Juventus have become better with Thiago Motta before they face stronger or equally strong teams this season. But so far I appreciate Juventus' performance.

Atalanta showed good strength and I wasn't surprised that they won Lecce with a good score line. It is good for them to get as many points as they can now that other big teams are still struggling to win. When the Champions league return thy are going to be having divided attention. Another thing is that Atalanta sold some of their good players they had last season without any convincing replacement so far. And with news that PSG are seriously making moves to buy Ademola Lookman from them, it be a hectic season for Atalanta if they let all these players go without replacing them. But watching them against Lecce they showed good performance and I think the coach knows what's he is doing.

While this is fair, under Allegri's Juve  that same Como probably would've dominated possession and created several chances. We are excited to have a manager who will encourage attacking football and allow players to express themselves. The excitement is more about the tactics and mentality more than it is about the win over a newly promoted team.

Atalanta and Juventus made this first week look quite easy to deal with. Atalanta beat Lecce with a big score of 4-0 and Juventus also beat Como with a score of 3-0. And it was quite an impressive coincidence that the four teams that managed to get full points in the first week both beat their opponents by at least 3 goals. And all of them got a big number of goals. Verona has scored 3 goals, Lazio has scored 3 goals, Juventus has scored 3 goals and Atalanta has scored the most with 4 goals. Meanwhile, the other top teams seem to just have to be satisfied with sharing the points.

I think Verona defeated Napoli largely because they were underprepared and there seems to be such a mess surrounding them and Conte seeing eye to eye on transfers. Just a ton of negativity coming from Naples. Juve however have been buoyed by optimism so far due to the removal of Allegri who played quite negative and unimaginative football and never got the best from the players. They now have a young and very creative manager. Also, the influx of players like Thuram and Luiz, added to the stage being set for the emergence of Yildiz. I suspect this will be a much stronger and more assertive Juve than the last two seasons and they will give Inter a push to the finish line

I thought Lookman absence would affect them because he is expected to leave this summer, Atalanta has an impressive performance I doubt they will secure the three points at Lecce's home stadium because Lecce had been serious with their performance at the end of last season and defeated many of their opponents, so I expected them to bring the same energy into this season, but they were unable to get into Atalanta's home ground to score a goal. Atalanta had an excellent beginning of the season, scoring four goals. Atalanta began the season with the same power that they had last season, unlike Ac Milan, Roma, Inter Milan, and other top teams, which lost or drew their games. I don't expect the same club that won the league last season to win it again this season because other clubs are more serious about their games, but we'll see how the season goes on.


Juventus must be on guard in their next game against Verona because they defeated Napoli with three goals in their opening match, Juventus is the favorite to win their next game, but gamblers should be careful because this season will be very competitive, with every team fighting for a spot in the top four.

If Thiago Motta started well as Juve manager and they scored 3 goals without resistance against Como, then congratulations to him! But dont worry, Como is not a strong team: we will see Juventus versus real team.

I don't know the nature of Conte's plan with the team and Osimhen/Lukaku, he needs someone to take on that job of getting goals if not the team is going to struggle to escape the relegation zone.
Atalanta is the best in this first leg of the league game, with a score line like that it will be a motivation to go into the next game and believe me when I say this, Atalanta are going to a nightmare for those bigger teams this season. If they visit Torino I don't think the host would want to let it be an easy game for the visitors because as this point Atalanta are topping the table and Torino would want to spoil their show by getting a draw or possibly a win for them (Atalanta) to drop, let's say Atalanta are the biggest threat the other teams are seeing for now.

The first week of Series A league was boring to me because some teams that I expected to play well did not play well, most especially teams like Napoli and Roma, this season is going to be tough for these teams because seeing their first game shows that they need some serious players in their squad, Napoli can not defeat Hellas Verona and Roma can not defeat Cagliari, I’m so ashamed of this two teams, Napoli own is worse because they look like a team that will go to a relegation zone this season.

Napoli needs to get another striker immediately because the team needs a striker, their first game showed that they need a striker and since Victor Osimhen wants to leave I think they should get another striker immediately if not this season is not going to be easy for them, and as for Roma they need to be serious because it looks like Dybala absence is about to affect them in the midfield position, so they need to serious in their next game.

A very good start for Motta as the new Juventus coach how could they not score 3 goals without resistance and Como only created one very sadistic shot, and this is a very amazing start for this old lady, I had doubted Motta but in fact they played quite aggressively and made many shots and in the end the 3-0 victory lasted until the whistle was blown, with this result Juventus is in second place in the standings at this time, and their journey is still very far I hope Motta can further motivate his team to commit to winning and make Juventus fierce again in the Motta era. Normally a team that went to UCL finals and then won the league should be able to actually buy some big names with the money they made, but they did not because the owner wasn't around which made it impossible for them get someone, and then the fund took over which did not buy any proper players, just like added some contract extensions that's it. This is why I believe that if they lose this season then they are going to end up with some issues for longer term until the team is finally sold. Fund is looking for someone to buy it in order to get their loan back, so the team will eventually be sold.

In fact, in the first week there were only four teams that were able to collect 3 points and the rest were dominated by many teams that achieved 1 point. I think Serie A this time is quite competitive where each team regardless of how strong or weak their opponent is, they will not just give up accepting the existing results and instead they try to fight it by minimizing the results of defeat.

I am very happy with what happened and another fact where the strong teams that were regulars at the top last season such as Milan, Inter, and Bologna are in the middle of the standings makes me sure that all three will start this season quite late. But it is still early and everything can still change quickly.

Anyway, Atalanta leads the standings with a goal difference advantage and I think it is very difficult to shift them if next week they still have a goal party like they did when facing Lecce.

Verona will be a tougher test so to speak, but it's still will be interesting

Juventus were unlikely to drop points against a small team like Como. This party is not a strong party. Even in Serie A we don't usually see this team. I forget when Como last qualified for Serie A. Como were lucky last season to qualify for Serie A this season. But Como's squad is relatively weak. Staying away from the relegation zone will also be difficult for Como.

Juventus performed well in this match against COmo at home. As COmo's performance was poor, Juventus managed to dominate the match. Atalanta shown their strength in a Super Cub match with Real Madrid and Lecce is far less quality than Real Madrid. This big win against Lecce helps Atalanta to have good start in the season which can be another successful season for a medium club like them. In this season, Atalanta will have opportunity to return to Champions League after several years playing in Europa League. Years ago, during Covid-19 time, Atalanta had an impressive adventure in Champions League and now they are ready to repeat it.

Juventus won their match and are sharing top position with three other clubs that all have three points after Day 1. At least they are going ahead Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma for Scudetto competition.
