Napoli is overrated because they recruited Conte as their new coach, those high expectations are very wrong in my opinion because it is not easy for Conte to improve the performance of a team that has slumped.
3-0 defeat is very embarrassing in my opinion.
Napoli are no longer a team that won Scudetto two seasons ago and this defeat is shocked but I did not expect Napoli to play so well like two or three seasons ago. They are going to downhill and their fans will get familiar with such disappointed performances very soon. It takes them time like some seasons to rebuild a new squad with new generation of players, to succeed again.

In another match, Roma had a disappointed draw with Cagliari too and they even faced with a loss if Cagliari were more luckily with their shot. With big teams already played so far, only Lazio won but Inter Milan and AC Milan only got draws like Roma. Juventus and Atalanta have yet played their match 1 of the season.

Verona crushed Napoli. A 3-0 win is a great score for Verona. It's equally disappointing for Napoli. It seems Conte has to take charge of the team and be much more careful this year. Keeping Osimhen will be in their best interest. I think it was clear from the start that Napoli will have a difficult season. Juventus have to win the match they play tonight. If they win, they will have a great advantage this week when other big teams are losing points.
This big defeat under Verona signals a very difficult season for Napoli. Conte is a coach who can lose control on himself, his players and easily get conflict with club president and top bosses too. If performances of Napoli continue to go bad or worse, Conte will make more mistakes in tactics, player choices and in interviews so his career in Napoli might end very soon.

With or without Osimhen, Napoli become weaker than some seasons ago and it's not easy for Conte to fix it and improve competitiveness and lit the fire up in Naples.

Napoli did gave a disappointing start especially if we put to consideration so much all the expectations that have been kept in mind for them much long before now, the race title this season is very likely going to take a very different shape from the regular if we look at the recent happenings around the first games of the season, even inter may have some challenges along the way and for Juventus, tho they have given an unseeming start but it still doesn't look convincing to me because they didn't do much during the transfer before the season and their performance aswell isn't showing like one with much improvement for which we should be looking forward to something ahead.

And I highlight Napoli's front line, without Osimhen it looks like the front line is not playing optimally even though they made several dangerous attacks but none of their front players are able to carry out the objective to convert into goals, that is a deficiency that Conte must immediately resolve in my opinion and the Osimhen transfer drama must also be resolved immediately and Napoli must recruit a new striker if they are indeed no longer able to maintain Osimhen.

It's not the start of the season I imagined but at least Inter, AC Milan and Roma gave fans something to hold on to with the one point they were able to achieve, unlike Napoli who lost woefully to a side that won less than a dozen times last season. The way I see it, the contention for the title won't be reserved only for the likes of Inter, AC Milan or Juventus as the case may be but rather more teams will join the race and surprisingly, it won't be the teams we expect.

You're absolutely right; Inter and Juve is not yet written out as much too early Inter's defense has to be tightened, without doubt, but that's fixable. Juve is playing carefully, laying a basis. Though it is not glamorous, it earns championships

Remember Lazio as well; they seem to be keen. This season of Serie A will turn into a slaughter. Each game counts, each point counts. These clubs either will get left behind or better adjust quickly

Man, we are going to have an amazing journey
It was only Lazio who showed how it was done by thrashing Venezia 3-1. Right from the get go, they kept mounting pressure and at a point it seemed Venezia were absorbing it and trying to retaliate after they got the goal but Lazio snuffed that confidence. It's the beginning game and sadly, Verona of all teams are the ones leading in the Serie A table but I guess it will be a matter of time till we see if they (Lazio and Verona) can maintain this very great performance or if it will be a one time thing?
We all expected big things to come out from the big clubs that played against small clubs and when we thought the reigning champions, Inter, would have secured three points,  Genoa rebounded to end the match in a draw. Is it me or are there others who feel Inter won't be at their 100% best this season? Because I've got this feeling that they will get affected like Napoli did after ending the season as Serie A winners two seasons back.

Disappointing turn so far for the "big" teams in Serie A.
Inter Milan Roma Napoli all lost points versus weak teams.

For the "bigs" only Lazio managed to get 3 points.

Tomorrow will be the turn for Atalanta and Juventus, and both teams are no in a good shape.

Atalanta is fighting against 2 of his players that wants to leave, and Jvuentus are short in men in the squad.

Interesting start of the season.
A big disappointment for the top big teams, they all drop points as they played draw in their matches.

Napoli lost shamelessly to Hellas Verona; it think Conte have a lot of work to do, they should try to hold Osimhen down for some times because as it stands, the team have no squad depth and they will suffer it when the season looks tough.

Only two teams have won their matches so far, and none of the top four teams are among them, I hope Atalanta and Juventus can be able to win their respective matches tomorrow to take the lead.
I don't feel sorry for Napoli, they have allowed Victor Osimhen transfer saga to linger this long and paid little attention to building their team to be competitive this season. Losing that heavily to Hellas  Verona is not a good sign at all. What will happen when they play against inter Milan and Juventus. Antonio Conte has a big work to do. Although it is still the first game of the season and I won't just use that one to judge their entire season. But the truth is Napoli should make peace with Victor Osimhen and give him a reason to stay further with them. The way I am seeing the Seria A this season, it seems like we are going to see a more competitive season this term compared to what we have seen in the past. We might see smaller clubs rising up to disrupt the traditional top 4. We saw that in Spain and Germany leagues last season and it won't be bad for something similar to happen in Seria A.

It is quite surprising with what has been played in the first round of Serie A, how can Inter who are highly touted as a club with full strength or as a champion team last season they played with a draw from Genoa, of course this is difficult for them in the first round, not only that AC Milan also swallowed a draw at home after two goals were scored by Torino but they were able to rise at the end of the match, in my opinion Serie A this season is an interesting spectacle, don't all teams get resistance and this is very good, hopefully resistance like this will grow again in Serie A this season and make every club have the right to have a chance to win, and what is interesting is that this happened in the first round and thus will continue in such a way that shows that Serie A clubs have started to develop in finding their own game tempo. But there are still two more matches left and this will be an important point for these four clubs and two fantastic clubs Atalanta and also Juventus have a great chance to score the winning goal but I think it will not be easy for them Juventus who will meet Como the promoted club will certainly prove that they deserve to be there and I think these 3 points will be difficult to maximize by Juventus and also Atalanta who will visit Lecce's headquarters also because in the first half it will be difficult to predict who can maximize the victory because the club is in good form or stamina so I think a draw will still haunt both matches.
I have a feeling that Juventus won't find it easy trying to get three points from Como tonight. They were not as impressive in last season and in their pre season tour, it was nothing to write about. Thiago Motta will have his job cut out for him because most of this newly promoted sides will want to make life uncomfortable for the big boys, that's like their way of showing people that they deserve to be in the top league.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed over this game and not expecting much but I still believe Juve will find it hard getting three points except Motta will surprise us.

I wouldn't want to tag the result of the supposed big teams in Italy  this weekend "disappointing" because it's just their opening games of the season so, I believe they can bounce back to their bests but they were surprising results considering the quality of players in these teams. Inter Milan's result if you ask me was the most surprising because they led the game in two different occasions but still failed to win but that didn't change my opinion about them winning the league title this season.

Juventus have appointed Thiago Motta, who worked wonders with Bologna, to lead the team in the new season. They made important moves in the transfer window by bringing in Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram. Kenan Yildiz is now the new owner of the number 10 jersey of Juventus. Como, the new team in Serie A, coached by Cesc Fabregas, also took steps to stay in the league. A star like Varane arrived but suffered an unfortunate injury problem. Quality players like Belotti and Alberto Moreno also joined the team. I think Como will be one of the teams that will make noise in the league throughout the season, but Juventus are the favorites to win in the first week. I think the hosts Juventus will score at least 2 goals and make a good start under new coach Motta.

The score line was unexpected, and I wouldn't have bet that Napoli would lose to Verona by this goal margin. The former champion controlled the game but created few chances. Even the chances that were created brought no good results. Verona had had four shots and target, which resulted in three goals. The host was able to use the counterattack each time they had the privilege and I worked perfectly for them.

I don't know the rationale behind benching players who are yet to complete their transfer move. It is because the club wants to protect them from injuries or make the team get used to their absence. Maybe Napoli wants to keep Victor Osimhen injury-free because any issues might discourage interested clubs from signing him. It might also be that Antonio Conte wants to build a team without the influence of the Nigerians so that they can play comfortably without him.

The loss is not a good beginning for the new Italian coach. The fans expected much from him after a disastrous last season where three coaches were sacked because of the club's poor performance. Conte is an experienced and well-respected coach, but he has to prove it or face the same fate as others.
With Conte at the helm, nobody expected them to be this bad this game, but it's early weeks, it's nothing important and they can still recover from there, I do not think that they are going to continue being this bad, they will probably keep doing better after this one.

Conte is a new manager and he is trying to put his own system into the team, which takes time for players to adjust, some even fail to adjust completely, so that is why first and second week games could end up being not that great and we need to focus on the future. Conte isn't a bad manager at all, and Napoli isn't really that bad neither, I feel like they are going to do better and we will not see anything bad at all, we are going to see them do better than this.

Serie A is really surprising from all the matches only Verona and Lazio managed to get 3 points.
While other popular clubs only get 1 point and worse Napoli was defeated by Verona without resistance and conceded 3 goals will be a very bad start for Napoli.  Cheesy
The beginning of this season can be said that the Serie A competition is very competitive but it can also be said that most of the top clubs have experienced a decline in performance which should be very much considered by each coach and must improve the situation in the next match.

After this incident I bet randomly without siding with the favorite club to avoid surprises that occur and from my point of view as a gambler, I choose Camo to score more than 0.5 because I believe this will be a surprise at least 1 score and on the other hand the odds are very high making me more excited to bet on this club.

Yes you are absolutely right even though I think Napoli will appear impressive when playing against Verona especially with an experienced coach like Antonio Conte.

unfortunately the coach did not use Victor Oshimen in this first match they should have used a productive striker in important matches they also have to take advantage of the opportunities this season because they do not have UEFA matches.

Both Napoli and Bologna are all disappointing especially Bologna who played as hosts they only got a draw against Udinese who last season this club appeared weak but it seems they have started to improve their performance.

You're right. It is just the first match, the draw is also not a too bad result. Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Roma still have a lot of time to improve their game and it is actually interesting result because the race for the title to be more tighter. I'm sure the result of the first match doesn't fully reflect the strength of the big teams in Serie A. They may be just unlucky, or they need time to adapt with the new players. Let's how they will play in the next few matches! They should evaluate it and play better in the next matches.

The Atalanta and Juventus games I don't think will leave us with any shocking result. The two teams I think will win their respective games.
Surprising result is always possible. Moreover both team looks like having a similar quality. I even assume the result of the match can be a draw again. But if Juventus can win this match easily, I can feel optimistic that Juventus has a chance to be the champion this season. Juventus is managed by a better coach now, they should perform well this season.

A draw is certainly not a result those teams were looking for. Yes it's early days. but when you are AC Milan or Inter Milan and you play against average opponents, how can you be happy with a draw?

The only team that played a convincing game was Lazio. They have controlled the game most of the time and were efficient with their chances. Could have gone even better for them. Inter Milan had some more trouble and they were too sure to have won the game already. Shouldn't happen to them as I really consider them one of the coolest teams in Europe. Last season when they took the lead it was almost game over in Serie A as they understood so well how to finish off their opponents, but not this time.

Maybe the time has come for a little Juventus Turin revival. It is about time for them to win the title again, but if I recall correctly, they didn't really have any special transfers and I still think Vlahovic is not the kind of striker they need. Quite overrated. He has averaged 16 goals per season so far across all competitions. That's not really what they expect from a potential superstar.

Atalanta is fighting against 2 of his players that wants to leave, and Jvuentus are short in men in the squad.

Interesting start of the season.
It still seems a little complicated for Atalanta because after all with the conditions they have at the moment where there are still several players who have the desire to leave and with the condition of the attack line which is still missing because Scamacca cannot play for the next few months it seems like this is a test that is quite difficult to pass by Gasperini.
Fortunately, the opponent is Lecce, which in fact in terms of mental and team strength, Atalanta is still better but for 3 points it is clearly not easy for now. Atalanta are still the favorites in this match but indeed to win easily I don't think so because if they win even in this match I still feel the victory will only be a narrow victory because until now after Scamacca is gone they indirectly lose a targetman which of course this disrupts their goal productivity.

The latest news reported by reporter Farbizio a few hours ago, Chelsea claimed that the matter regarding Osimhen and Lukaku, was not a swap deal, Chelsea was focused on selling Lukaku. In fact, Chelsea clearly stated that there is "No Negotiation over Swap". Napoli is doing negotiation and getting personal agreement.
This is true, only the efforts made by Napoli management so far to be able to exchange these two players but it has been clear from the start that Chelsea does not want an exchange and only wants to sell Lukaku.
Napoli's lack of clarity in deciding which attacker to choose, so that, in fact, neither Osimhen nor Lukaku are in them. And this makes their performance, especially their front line, really not sharp at the moment. They must decide which one to be in Napoli if they don't want their club goes worse and much worse.

A big disappointment for the top big teams, they all drop points as they played draw in their matches.
The worst and most embarrassing club is indeed Napoli. This is Conte's debut, but the defeat was 0-3 from Verona, it was very embarrassing.

Napoli had that many attacks, that many, but not even 1 goal. In contrast to Verona. Will Conte still continue to maintain this forward?

2 interesting games today.
Verona Napoli will be the 1st game in Naples for Conte in serie A and tit will be not a so easy game.

An interesting match with a result I didn't even expect Cheesy Will Napoli now repeat the same result as last season where they won't be part of a club that can compete for the Scudetto.
Verona's 3 goals really showed that even though they had a lot of possession and chances and dominated almost 90 minutes of the match, in the end it could not be used as an advantage because their defense was quite vulnerable and weak especially when the opponent's quick counterattacks.

Conte must make the situation better now because after all with the current condition of course Napoli is not okay. On the other hand, I also didn't see Osimhen in the squad they brought in today's match, is there really going to be new news that he will really leave Napoli when the transfer window closes soon?

I have been discuss about this before and if Napoli want win from this match they should have good striker similar to Osimhen and it just happend today that although Napoli is really dominate the match but they were not able to broke the defensive lines of Verona but for Verona even with only 33% ball possessions they can scores 3 goals without conceded and these records is proven Verona is playing very effective and they didn't wasting the opportunities to scores

I know this is only opening match so we shouldn't be over reacted to this result because the league even has just begin and there is still much time for Conte to evaluate this result but indeed i can see it that Napoli without Osimhen can't do much and this is big problem for them because Napoli should be buy at least 1 world class striker immediatelly before transfer window closed
