Atalanta this season has big ambitions unlike the previous season and this season is the season that Atalnta really has to achieve to maintain its position and also chase the European league title.

Head-to-head stats indicated Atalanta expected a win over Lecce. They should not only sign new and good players, they should keep good players like Scamacca this year. At the end of the year, Atalanta lost the Italian Cup final, but they still have a chance of winning the UEL cup. By defeating Liverpool, Atalanta will perhaps give Leverkusen their first defeat of the year. Bayer Leverkusen had a great season this year. In one word, they left behind a dream year. Atalanta can end this dream. Maybe they will only get one defeat and it will be this final, who knows?

Even if you had mentioned that Atalanta has qualified for the champions League next season you are still right because with the improvement Atalanta has on this season has already landed them into champions league next season and also one good thing about their current position now is that they don't have much competitors against them because they have 6 points above their below teams especially Roma and there is no way Roma will come close to them in terms of there points considering the fact that they have just few matches to the end of the season.

So perhaps even if Juventus has one point above Atalanta it shouldn't be a big deal because what matters is the ability of qualifying to the champions League league next season and already Atalanta has been able to achieve that, so perhaps what they should be looking at now is how to improve there performance next season in other to go far on the champions League.
