And we do a hard fork like Eth?

Not sure a hard fork is needed but it definitely made me think of ETH and the backlash they're getting over there.

I would prefer a better solution but one isn't coming to mind.  Anyone have a better suggestion?

IMPORTANT:

Ok, Thomas is not responding and we have to deal with the premine issue somehow.

The best solution seems to be to blacklist the unredeemed addresses to which Thomas mined to, forever killing the premine.

The problem with this is the fact we would be blacklisting his premine addresses.  Given it's the premine we're blacklisting, would everyone be ok with that?  I know people freak out when they hear certain buzzwords like blacklist.

Say something now cause this has to be done soon to shut everyone up about the premine.

Regards,

Vlad

I set mintxfee=0.00100000 and network accept my transactions.

Thanks!

I vaguely remember setting a fee a long time ago to prevent spam like what happened with Bitcoin.  Not 100% sure though.  Glad it worked for you.  Smiley

Hmm... network ignored my transactions.
What size of min txfee for this currency?

Try .01 ixc but there shouldn't be a min fee yet.

Can't believe I never noticed before.

I know, I know!!!  Bitcoin!!!

Thanks for showing me this, now I feel the need to kill LiteCoin too.  Too many people think that litecoin came right after Bitcoin which is not even close to the truth.  Ltc wasn't even the first scrypt coin.

Interesting what coblee said when launching litecoin:

  • ixcoin - Nasakioto premined 580k coins. Seemed like a pump and dump. Competed with Bitcoin for GPU resources - Dead (~2 gh/s)
  • i0coin - Basically ixcoin without the premine. Not much support was given to this coin after it was released. - Dead (~5 gh/s)

Source

Lee declared ixcoin dead almost 5 years ago
Ixcoin has been declared dead so many times.
Which other coin has been declared so many times dead without never been really dead? Bitcoin

Looks like our faucet is dead.  I tried to add a few IXC and they never showed up.
http://www.cryptoblox.com/faucets/iXcoin/

We should look into getting another faucet going.  That will put the block chain to use and hopefully get more people involved with iXcoin.

This one looks good, but I haven't had time to contact them.  Maybe deadsea could look into it.

BE+Faucet - 0.01 BTC/month.
Let me know if I should go for it (selling ixc or waiting for btc donations)

$7 per month is the way I read it.
Go for it.  I'll send you some btc.

Just sent some BTC to deadsea for Cryptoguru's monthly fee (about 10 months worth).  Maybe we can use a couple hundred of our donated IXC to initially fill the faucet.  That will get us up and running.

How secure are these faucet sites, cause I see mostly worthless coins on there.  Is it a lot of work to have our own faucet site?  CryptoGuru.tk ain't got nothing on something like CryptoRush.com.

And I also believe Luke or Friction set up a faucet a while back but I don't remember what site.

There are pros and cons to having your own site.  Right now we don't have someone who can build and host an iXcoin faucet, so we don't have many choices.  A community faucet with many coins already has clients, so we'll get cross pollination from other coins and a quicker influx of new users.

Regarding security, well, we're giving away the coins on the faucet anyway.  So it's not like we'd be loosing anything if someone hacks the site.

My main concern with any faucet is how do we know how many different people are actually downloading coins.  If there are 50 drips per day, is that 50 different people or one person with 50 addresses.  But these are just the risks we take to increase our clientele.  Even if it's one guy, that's still one more user than we had before.

Plus: Empire.ch

https://empirex.ch/Market?pair=IXC/BTC

What is this exchange? Is it active? Is it reliable?

Thanks

I've never heard of it.  Personally I'm a skeptic when it comes to any newer exchange but then again, the best ones have been hacked so I'm sure the remaining ones will too.  It's all gonna go to the few major exchanges which will be fully regulated.

That said, EmpireX sounds mighty Batman(ish) and if it adds more exposure and liquidity then why not.

Don't keep more on exchanges than you're willing to lose!  Ouch!!!  I felt pain saying that!

Only 20.9 million coins Vlad....

I'm the lead dev and chairman around here, I know things.  lol

It's actually an inside joke cause IX has been mined out for so long yet somehow there is always massive dumping at ridiculously low prices.

Let me know
Thanks

I already own 40 million IXC so tell me what's left and we'll go from there.  Smiley

Looks like the last trades were around 7k sat so hopefully someone pays at least that.

Cheers!

I know.   I would like to get my coins out of Cryptsy....

That ship has sailed.  Those coins are all gone for good.  Goxxed!

not quite all!

the UNO & GLD communities pulled together and managed to 'save' their stolen coins from being sold as well as attempted to warn others.

All while vern was stealing and wiping users data.
