He has his own agenda and he doesn't care about anything or anyone else.

I believe that ethereum has possibility rather than any altcoins to substitute the reigning bitcoin. It has the capability to support different valued tokens and it can be in a long run investment. Smart contracts of ethereum also helps a lot in launching ICO tokens. In addition to that, ethereum is listed as the top 2 in CMC and top 2 in the largest market cap when it comes in altcoin.

The sheer fact that Ethereum provides a user friendly smart contract development environment which is much more than just a peer-to-peer currency makes it all the more appealing for the future generation of cryptos. It s always a possibility but if it would happen, i dont think it s gonna be soon. I really like ETH because i like Altcoins and all of them are based on ETH network. However, BTC is not gonna let that happen easily, plus i've heard that they are about to launch the lightening network which is gonna be huge

To my mind John MacAfee's opinion worth nothing in crypto, I mean fundamentally, everyone remember his 'coin of the week' and it was clear for me that this man just speculate of his own holding, choosing 'dogecoin' as a week coin lol.

John mcafee has tried to give his opinion from the scalability perspective. And how the scalability looks become an important thing to the future adoption. i don't think ethereum will surpass bitcoin, it's possible but there are a lot of coins/alts out there that is way better than ethereum.
