You guys are putting a lot of prestige for this hasben of a developer. Sure, he did wonders in the world for cyber defense, but we are in the world of crypto now.
There is a need to get high-profile investors/public figures to shine spotlights on X shitcoin, but at this rate he's actually using his public image to pump pure shitcoins, Redd... etc. I would be careful when investing in his "coin of the week shit" because this guy has been building position on everycoin he announces months in advance... looking for suckers to cash out on, you.

McAfee is probably getting paid to hype up different altcoins. He does not care about anybody but himself so I would be very cautious if you're taking his "advice".
I think he is not reliable, several of the coins he shares does not deserve to hold, his main aim is to promote coins of himself.
Of course he ain't reliable, I can't get over my head how some people see him to be serious lol, it is okay if he shares love for crypto currency but still he is in fact doing pumps since hes coin of the day got pumped so kinda.

and so that doesn't make it a scam.But truly how would you really know he doesn't hold any position in any of the altcoins he says or going to say are good. Honestly if he has that much of a influence he would be stupid not to be buying up the altcoin the day before he tweets it's good and taking profits from the pump.
You can't know if he holds or not,and that's the reason he probably does hold a position and he is using his status to gain profits illegaly.
I believe that he is either getting paid by a big whale or a developer or is holding a position, that's could be the only explanation to what he is doing.
In the crypto world, you can't really know whether someone is lying to you, and you can't really know if he is holding a position or he is just telling what he thinks in an innocent way, but always make your own research before investing in an altcoin and make sure that it hasn't gone up already.

I have been following John's tweets but i do believe that he is sharing his opinion on alt coins that will change the world. He is not giving us financial advice. So your own research will make the difference

Now he does it for bitcoins. He is told what kind of coin to PR and pay for it. Once all people know this, it seems to me that no one will listen to his posts. Because for him it's just business. It is clear that he will not PR frankly.

This guy is loosing his image by running this pump and dump thing. I used to kinda like him, but now he has lost his respect from me. John McAfee effect will not remain for long in pumping diff coins, with every new coin he calls, expect smaller and smaller pumps with time.

Yesterday John McAfee posted on his twitter account that he will share his thoughts on unique altcoins and he said "most of 2,000 are trash" and today he posted on twitter that ETN is one of those unique coins and boom ETN price pumped 30%. With his daily posts about alts that believe is good, will this affect the altcoins price or this will tarnish his reputation.
Mr. John McAfee knows that his reputation will be at stake before making that post. And after the tweets start coming, those altcoins have gained prices. We stand to observe what those altcoins will be in the run of time. At the moment, his recommendations are working.
Yesterday I was surprised when McAfee said that the coin of the week is TRON (TRX) and the price didn't go up!
