interesting site bankroll movement during past 10 days.

this leads to a conclusion that 1/3 of sites bankroll is controlled by just a few accounts.

statistics also do not indicate these coins have been wagered.

what other conclusions can be made? should such movement be somehow worrying?

Any chance of a DarkCoin spinoff?

I've already secured Dark-dice.com so it doesn't get ransomed.

Ooh, yah, hit me where I can't control myself!  LOL, that'd be fun!

you guys are trying to kill doog with all the support stuff going along with that.  Wink  he's already late on lots of features for JD/DD because he's busy with tickets most of the time, so I really dont think another clone will happen.

Where i'm offering up the domain, it'd be copypasta for DRK which the only alt with a killer app to accompany it... it's not like we're asking for shit-dice Wink

Dooglus, any chance of adding a NXT-dice?

I believe i would build a website for nearly all coins. The sites could be hosted on one server with different addresses and each site gives a little extra income and its only a bit of copy&paste.

The problem is, that NXT is not a bitcoind/j/qt clone but a java application that is written from scratch. Many exchanges were not able to add this coin, thats why i am asking Dooglus , because he is kind of a magician Wink

I was wondering when someone would ask about NXT. JD and DD being off-chain I guess the accounting would be much the same code. He probably just gota change a few things for deposits and withdrawals.

I sometimes had the impression that just-dice might be the first step in hackers washing stolen coins from MtGox or elsewhere. I mean its easy to clean there and when i see how people came in with thousands of bitcoins that they played away in an instant i asked myself who has this money and where is it from. Now it slowed down.

Is there a competitor that could take the bets? I dont know of another site with similar max profits.

Maybe a player survey would be a good thing in case player miss something.

One day there was a guy in the JD chat asking how he could get 100 different deposit addresses for a single account at one go.  When I asked why he wanted them, he said he needed to launder a large number of coins.

Up until then, Just-Dice would give you a new deposit address each time you used your previous one, but this was apparently too cumbersome for this launderer.  Upon hearing this, I changed the site so that now each account gets a single deposit address no matter how many times they deposit.

I don't know if this change was responsible for the site seeing less large deposits and withdrawals, but that's possible.

In case it is it wouldnt be a bad thing. In fact it would help to protect just-dice against possible examinations from agencies. Better not get involved with criminal activity if avoidable.

I would suggest upgrading the interface to keep more users interested.  To do it safely of course, you need to separate the logic side from the graphical side first, and then dump $10,000+ into getting some designers to come in and pimp everything out.  Making a bet should be visually appealing -- why do you think people like Roulette so much?  A: They love to watch the wheel go round and round, because people are stupid and they love things that move and spin.  Smiley

allow people to side bet on each other Smiley Sky is the limit.

I have been calculating how much was wagered in average per day in the last 30 days since 26/12/2013, to estimate what kind of returns can an investor expect. It seems like wagered just keeps falling. Dooglus, your idea was great, don't let your competitors take your place.

Hi Dooglus and everyone

I like the look of investing on the site - it looks like a great place to keep some btc longer term if you have a positive long or medium term view on holding btc itself.

Anyway I'd like to delve more into the risk aspect for investing by calculating variances and perhaps drawdowns, including by btc invested (since the invested amount fluctuates a lot).

Does the raw.dat file mentioned earlier contain something(?), amount wagered and site profit?
Is a series with amount invested available?
Is it hourly? Over what date range? (Sorry if I missed the explanation somewhere.)

Thanks

Bets is number of bets
why bets is a fractional number?

I'm not sure.  I expect it's because you're looking at a point on the chart somewhere between two data points.

If you zoom in a lot you see mostly whole numbers.

Dooglus, could you tell us what the return so far would be for someone who invested 1 BTC on day 1 and never divested? Curious to know the percent of interest someone from the very beginning has made so far.

I'm not sure.  I wish I had thought to make an account with 1 BTC invested on the day of launch and leave it untouched.

The best I can do is an account which invested 1.727 BTC at Thu Jul 11 20:01:47 2013, hasn't touched it since, and now has 2.04610131 BTC invested.  But the site launched about 3 weeks earlier than that.

That's 18.4772% growth in ~8 months.
