Why does someone want 185BTC worth of CLAMS? Is a whale about to bet on Just-Dice? As an investor it is a bit worrying, there isn't much else people do with CLAMS than bet on JD!

Maybe he just wants to invest and live off staking or he is a bettor and its going to move the profits, both options are good for clam and clam holders.

What do you mean they have a limited life? Do you think that the slightest sign of a big sale could crash the price because everyone thinks they dont have a real value? You dont think there value is stable enough to survive?

So practical... if you would like to spread your investment portfolio and clams on jd are part of it, what the percentage of investment that you would put into clams?

I see it the same way like you. Just dice is the value backing clams. When dooglus claims he has to kill just dice again then clams most probably will be worth 10% instantly. So at the moment i try to check out the risk of investing someting in clams.

Just Dice expected returns+CLAM expected returns-Opportunity cost. What's hard to calculate is the second variable.

Yup Just-dice is really the one backing the values of clams. It's really the primary thing giving demand for clams. Mandating staking pools outside of JD, all they're doing is staking outside of it but they're still leaning at the reputation JD offers if they want their clams to have any value when they sell it. Because the reason people buy clams is because of JD.

Does anyone have CLAMs they would be willing to sell in bulk (say 1000 or more at a time) for BTC? We didn't take about price but I'm guessing he'd be willing to pay a little over market price.
