What happens if a site is using CloudFlare DDoS protection, but the attacker knows the IP of the server somehow and just attacks the server's IP directly?
Yes it is possible, i have seen it happen with many sites. it is often futile to attempt to attack sites through ddos protection (CF for example), so attackers will look for the server IP behind CF to ddos.

Looks like a new site ice-dice is capitalizing on the high variance at J-D and offering an alternative for investors: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3207478
However, investing coins in a site with a anonymous person with no reputation at all more than risky.

My IP was just blocked for an hour - anyone know why?

The auto-ban script is very aggressive. It could be you tried to access the site too many times, or you just had bad luck and you got on the ban-list for no reason. It happened to be more.

The CloudFlare error is gone now and the site is back up.

This is clearly a competitor responsible for these attacks - wonder who?

There is only 1 competitor that even has a similar site.

DDoS attack actually doesnt hurt the website that much , at least not as much as towtoad Cheesy

I have been getting in everytime I want , I really have confusing times when I read people having hard time getting in :/

How is the DDoS attack going through Cloudflare? Are they attacking your IP addresses behind Cloudflare? If those were public/leaking out of cloudflare before, you should change them.

i've deposited 0.009btc using inputs.io and 0btc on my just-dice balance ..

Same.  Glad to hear it's not just me, hopefully it's just a lingering part of the DDoS that hasnt' yet been resolved.  I'd hate to think my "instant" transfer from inputs.io was lost in the nether.

When you deposit using inputs.io, the inputs site hits a particular URL on Just-Dice telling us that you deposited.  If we're being attacked at the time, inputs can't get through and so we don't get the message.

I believe inputs.io tries twice and then gives up.

I'll need to go through all the recent deposits in my inputs.io transaction list and see which ones didn't get credited to the corresponding Just-Dice accounts.

It would be useful if inputs.io would keep trying to tell us about your deposit until we respond with an 'ok, got it' code, but they don't.

The funds should be with you today, once I've had a chance to go through the transaction list.
