It's an interesting idea.  But we can't even get people to agree on a 2mb block. Imagine the fight to change block time and payout.
Yeah I posted a few 'useful' ideas many years ago - but they were all rejected Tongue
Faster block time, increased nonce size, multiple PoW
I also discussed with Gavin back then about not repeating transaction processing, and only transferring the necessary transactions (since typically your mempool would have most of them)

In general I steered clear of 'Core' other than making suggestions Smiley
I did my own thing there.

@kano do you know if Anyone in this pool uses any of the pantech miners?

I don't know anything about them or their software.
Edit: and they probably clone something else so you can't tell the difference.

Meanwhile, since people are throwing random ideas out there, I did suggest a change many years ago that would 'logically' increase the block size by a number of times Smiley

Too bad  it was not adapted for BTC

I know you are anti alt coin  but a few alts took your idea and ran with it.  One of those alts is doing very well.

So here I am standing with a foot in the alt-coin camp and a foot in the btc camp.

I have 22 gpus
I have 60th for BTC

and every day  I have to decide how to change my mining ratios for alt to sha to sell coins to hold cash.

Still life's pretty good for today in the world of mining.

I'll be doing the DE and NL server upgrades in about 25hrs on 10-Apr 09:00 UTC
See the web site for details and the new notice page https://kano.is/index.php?k=notice
Just a reminder, if you don't look at the web site Smiley, this will be in an hour.
As expected, all completed 1hr 40 later.

I just use 13.1 Core with minor changes - blame core?
Though I'd guess the fact that the blocks are usually full is the reason.

Our transaction I force in - and I'm not gonna do that for anything else, and not stop doing it for us.

yeah, i indicated support for this in Edit.

... and again our payout for 461074 confirmed 20mins ago by block 461194 Smiley
hmmm.... BTC.TOP again.

Must be a fluke since the network is so overloaded.... Tongue
Our 461074 block, although it was a ~full block, it was also quite small transaction fees 0.24BTC, 1 min 55sec, but not a lot of good fee transactions available.

yet 21.co persists with a stupid suggestion that we suppose to pay 140sat/byte.
BS, 22 sat/byte should be fine right now if you can wait 2-3hr. Slightly higher and it confirms almost immediately.
A couple of days ago, though, 24 sat/byte was not picked up by anyone, including kano-san.
Why not? You pay zero tx cost, but don't include 24 sat/byte?
Picky-picky  Tongue.

Kano, this seems like the new norm, where there's a good chance another miner will confirm our zero fee transaction for mature block payouts. Has this ever happened before that you can remember, besides the one from a week ago?
Yes it's happened before, rarely, but I don't keep track of it.
I guess you'd have to check your payouts vs our blocks.

Why not? You pay zero tx cost from the pool (which i totally support, BTW), but don't include 24 sat/byte?

Wow!  I go away for a weekend turkey hunting trip and I come back to 6 new blocks!  Cheesy

Fan-freaking-tastic!  Cheesy Cheesy

Did you bag any wild turkeys.

My Father-in-law liked hunting them.

No, I didn't get a shot...my brother was with me and he got one on Saturday which was Spring Gobbler opening day for Virginia.  It was lots of fun to be out in nature for the weekend.

Yay for the random block confirm! Grin
