C'mon  people, kano-san sacrificing his beloved anime friends, and we sit here reading such and do nothing?  For shame, kano-ckpooludians! Eat more damn chicken until you bust (won't help), wear underwear (pants) (won't help) on your head (or elsewhere) (really won't help but would be funny for those nearby)... Do all the things mentioned in this voluminous thread that'll help our luck (won't help) and quit whining (will help)!
Mine on, damn it, and let's crack this block already!   Cool

There is no way to subversively affect the pool other than withholding blocks while mining here.
Edited to elaborate for clarity.

OK conspiracy theory posts deleted.
Mainly coz you said you left the pool so no idea why you want to start conspiracy theories here.

I was being facetious about it and was not serious. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way. I will always be a member of Kano pool.  Smiley

... to continue my previous post Smiley

There is no way to subversively affect the pool other than withholding blocks.
Any other effect will show up as stales or orphans on the web page.

Now if someone was magically causing us to have a blocks above 500% that's basically like saying they have 80% of the pool hash rate and are withholding.

The bad luck this month is probably about the same as last October (which was really bad also) it's roughly around 50%
To cause that directly, a miner would have to be ... of course ... half the pool hash rate and withholding all their blocks.

I'll leave it at that ...

its looking like a very long END

with six months now passed since we met expected blocks tally

Being upset by a difference of 0.2 blocks per day (max of 6 under per month) is miopic enough to make one suggest that perhaps something as volatile as BTC isn't the right choice for you. :/

We beat "Expected" in October by 2.31 blocks.

But I'm ready to get these nasty red blocks behind us!!!
This month has definitely been crappy!
EDIT: The worst since I've been on the pool (but only about 10 months).

Poor impulse control.

That site reports that this pool hashrate is 4.5 PH/s (yet its correct for F2Pool)
...

Is this really showing our effective hashrate here?

Yes, as zachm pointed out that shows the "rate" based on blocks found. One must keep in mind that we, in the Bitcoin community, live in a world of "on average"; when there are days that are double, there are going to be days that are half or less (3d = 0.21%, but 1W is over 2x 3D and 1M is ~2.4x 1W).

It all works out in the end. Wink

You need to stop counting in months and start counting in blocks.

Is there any other place to see how we are doing other than https://kano.is ?

Seems like we are spinning our wheels lately, it would be reassuring to see some other data points or comments as to why all the sudden we are this far below average.
https://btc.com/stats/pool

stats based on blocks found, not on hashing power pointed to, as others said.
In fact slush's also shows just 75ph when it is 140ph on their site.

It is based on the number of blocks found within a certain period of time.
Meaning that we are not finding as many blocks as we would be expected to with 30PH.

15   Kano CK   0.21 %   4.56 PH/s   1   0.00 %   988,014   1.01590701   8.13 %

Where are the other 26 PH/s that this pool is showing?

Kano-san, we having another Avalon giveaway contest? Just got a tweet from Canaan announcing the latest winner of an A721 at the kano.is pool... Stealth contest??  Cool or did I miss the announcement? Tongue

checking this :

he won an avalon 6  many months ago never claimed it and was given an avalon 721 instead of a 6

I believe  Kano mentioned this a few weeks ago
