Also keep in mind that because of the PPLNS method the first several payouts will be much lower than what you are expecting. Keep them pointed here and wait at least a week and see where you are at that point.

Thanks for the info.

Good day. newbie here. I've been mining in antpool for quite some time now. I have a 26TH mining rig that mines me 0.023btc a day these days. quick question. if i mine here "ckpool", how much can i mine a day? the same? i got antminer s7 and s9's. thanks.
The rewards you would get would vary, since Kano CK pays PPLNS which pays for blocks, unlike AntPool which pays per share. On average though, you should expect to earn more as the fees are lower and transaction fees are paid out as well. Because Kano is a smaller pool though, you'd be subject to more variance and lower rewards on some days, and higher on others.

Ok. will try kano. Smiley Thanks!

so, maybe it is A7 that is messing things now with extra stales/invalids...or, it doesn't matter?
All blocks, stale or otherwise, show up in ckdb on the web page.

I purposely don't stop anything from being seen on the web page, but instead adjust the message/state if something went wrong and it's not a standard orphan, since ckdb will automatically flag a block that 'falls' out of the blockchain as an orphan.

There have been no stale blocks since: 421429 2016‑07‑19 15:37:45

I was not posting about stale blocks, rather commenting on others observations re stale/invalid shares.
In any case, you made everything clear in the followup post, thanks.

A7 owners...have you noticed that the A7s seem to be an order of magnitude higher on Stales than other hardware?  It's below the pool average for Invalids but it's something I've noticed.  I see the same thing with Kano's Worker Chart on his A7.
I've committed a fix for that on git. Canaan will include my fix in their next firmware  Smiley
It's harmless for the time being, just ignore the stales anyway.

Good to know that you guys are on top of things as usual! Cheesy  I was not too worried about it as it is below the pool average for invalids...just one of those things I noticed while poking around (me being bored during some of these long blocks) Grin
While invalids mean 'unrewarded' shares, they aren't counted in the ckdb hash rate stats, so if you are getting 6TH/s then that's what's been accepted and rewarded.

If they are 'hi' then they effectively have no 'expected' effect at all on your reward.
If they are 'dup' that just means the miner sent the same share more than once - which seems to be not uncommon with recent miners - my (and -ck's) changes in drivers to avoid that seem to be ignored by some others who write drivers Tongue

If they are 'stale' then that means they got to the pool too slow (after a block change) but that can be the result of things like: miner<->pool network, miner internal work management - reducing that will of course increase the reward

Yup...my one A7 is showing higher stales than I expected, but lower than the pool average. Actually glad to know it's just idiosyncratic to the A7, considering my recent interactions with the ISP...  Cool

To be happy you have to think long term on a pool like this.  It will pay more over the long haul but don't be too concerned over short term performance because of the higher variance.  If you can't do this you will probably end up being a pool hopper and will not get full payouts no matter where you go.

Same thing with my A7s. They tend to be on the higher side of invalids but below the pool average invalids.

I am having issues with the controller as the daisy chain combo of 5,3 / 4,2,2 were acting funny.

In the 5, 3 daisy combo 2 units get overheated one from the 5 units and one of the 3 units which seperately they don't. In the 4,2,2 configuration, only one unit from the 4 units gets overheated.

Now I am using 3,3,2 combo and all working well.

Contacted Canaan to check their controller software as I am sure it is sending funny comands.

Sorry didn't see your last post. Ok so I'm kind of confused. The txid's show the usual pool payouts including all address and shows in my wallet with no confirms but you guys aren't seeing anything? How is that possible?
I send out the payout transactions to the pool bitcoinds soon after they mature (usually less than 2 minutes)
Normally no one else on the planet is interested in them coz they are zero fee - so they are just in the pool's mempool.

Out next block (usually) confirms them.

In this case I suspect that many outside china saw the transactions since our block got out first.
Thus many had the payout transactions in their bitcoind to handle our block.
Of course, since the block was (later) orphaned, the payout transactions switched back to being unconfirmed.

Blockchain.info has difficulty dealing with orphans and also flags the pools that mine orphans as double spending (yeah blockchain.info is stupid)

Thanks for the explanation Kano. So will they actually confirm at all or be stuck in limbo?
When we find a block ... Tongue

Fantastic. They have both confirmed now. I know the process of the blockchain etc but when things go wrong I do get confused  Cheesy

Thanks for the explanation on the 2 weird payments in my core wallet from the pool, they been puzzling me so thought would come here to check.

If possible Kano, can you total up my dust payments and send them out. No more dust for me again, got my miners running 24/7 now. Username at pool is = scouse

Thanks if you can send the dust, no worries if not yet.
