There were multiple failovers on all the non-US nodes during the half hour between 11:07 UTC and 11:37 UTC
It seems there was some EU<->US connectivity problem going on during that time.

Everyone on the US nodes were unaffected by the network problems (as long as your miners are in the US)

There were failovers on UK, DE, JP and SG.

People connected to the SG node were affected the most, with failovers a number of times during the half hour.

All been OK again since 11:37 UTC

I'm sure not the only one here hosting at cryptoboreas, probably another thread on this topic but they shut down and landlord holding all miners. Thats where almost all of mine are and thus unable to mine here till this is resolved. By the time that happens, all my miners will be worthless. I know there are a few people with 5+ PH in miners also hosting there, what are we to do? Anyone have any more info or link to thread?
That is terrible!  Was there any sort of contract signed (or maybe an online description that may still be there - or you may have saved)?  I would also be looking for any documentation that proves you own which serial numbers.  Obviously the landlord wants to get their past due rent however they can, so yes, it will be a very difficult process.  How many miners do you have in "limbo" there?

I took a peek at their site which is still up, and they have not even posted that there are issues.  Makes a person wonder...

Math doesn't care what you believe.
40F should be fine for the miner, but the power supplies might give you some problems if you have a power outage and they cool off.  About a third of my APW3++ power supplies won't start if they are below about 50F.  On the other end, about 10% start up fine at -10F.  Rest are in-between.  Fortunately I can use those few to generate enough heat to warm up the rest.
I had not thought about the power supplies!  I guess there is always a hair dryer to kick start them if there are troubles!  Thanks much!
Hmm. Maybe set a heater to keep it 50° in there. Unless there's an outage, it'll never run.

That is basically what I do in the winter:  I have a thermostatically controlled gable fan that kicks on if the cold aisle is below 50F.  It sucks air out of one of my hot aisles and recirculates it.  Given the 10% that come on during our coldest outages, its enough to get things bootstraped.  Still a lot of manual intervention though.  Those PSUs that don't start need to be power cycled to kick in.

I am curious if anyone knows what the minimum temperature should be during the winter to keep S9 miners working well?  Is 40F too low?  I ran two last winter at 50F and they seemed to run ok...

That'll be fine, I've run mine around that temp and a bit cooler in the winter no problem.

So the S9's dropped again to $499 with PSU.  Hard to know what to make of it all!
Bitmain needs cash to help finish off their new miners in full production mode.
That and they're basically break-even at this price and difficulty...

Just joined the pool I bought 10 v9's as upgrade from some old s3's I had been running.  thinking mehh, they won't be that loud.
Think again.. currently can only run 1 dew to the noise from them!

Anyway! look forward to getting them online when I work out a solution!

It seems like it's BM's response to Canaan dropping the price of the 841s to $425...
