Evil beware: We have waffles!
For folks running AM to monitor their Avalons, Patrike has listened to us and added granular miner control to the latest dev version.

Whoever the Mod is who is deleting block posts in here - FUCK OFF.

Give this man a medal.
There was a 2nd block post in here deleted also.
I'm not sure who it was, but if you want to add it to this thread I created please do:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/can-we-get-whoever-the-mod-is-who-did-this-banned-4897173
theymos pointed out that other mods can delete the posts also (not just the pool thread mods)
So as I said there in the final post - next time I'll just tell everyone to repost them, then I'll get pissed off if the 'random' mod does it again and follow up on it.

Yay, a block!
*** Wow... That's a new low that my post was so offensive to some snowflake 'mod' that they had to shadow-ban a simple block notification/celebration due to their clear bias against a highly successful pool that they will stop at nothing to sabotage its web presence due to their blind rage and acute case of KanoPool Derangement Syndrome (KDS)! ***

*** Read this while it lasts. I'm sure it'll be gone before you know it! ***

Breaking News: bitcointalk adopts Facebook & Twitter "Hate speech" algorithms; subsequently starts deleting posts in a POOL THREAD relating to POOL FINDING BLOCKS.

That is the only explanation one could possibly fathom to justify such actions.

(Update: Ties between PETA and bitcointalk are rumored to have been at play here after an abundance of chicken consumption by pool members was revealed.)

Just wanted to share weird findings.

Managed to get access to a cold room (big fridge) with temperature at +6C to +8C

I have moved 2 T9 12.5T to it as a start to test and check. What I have noticed is that:

- the fans are spinning at 1850- to 2040 RPM
- Chips Temp between 75C to 82C and 47C to 53
- BUT! it hashing at 12T instead of 12.5T, both of them.

I took them out and it went up to 12.5T, back in the room, again at 12T!!

The same for with a S9 14T, in the cold room, 13T!!!

Watched this many months ago, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8bhGw4vUFE&t=613s

that's different. Miner's heat is not even close.
Refrigerators are not designed for such amounts of heat.

I discovered the same thing in the past when it was -7C outside and I opened my garage doors to let that air flow right through.  The hash rate dropped right along with the chip temps.  Some of my antminers even stopped hashing altogether at some point.  Who knew!  They like to be on the warm side of things for optimum hash rates.

Also the thing is that the chip temp is actually good as it should be around 80C

I haven't tinkered with many Antminers.

Can you lower the minimum fan speed any lower? If it's like the Avalons you should be able to get it down low enough to keep itself optimally warm. You could also experiment with putting a little filter cloth at the the intake to restrict flow a little, might help keep it warm.

I guess the bonus would be that you are likely using less power.

Can't change fan speed except with a hack.
