And so, after a 6 block day, the pendulum of luck begins to swing back the other way...but still time to get a couple blocks before the day is done - mine on!

I had to do some other things so stayed at another pool for a while.   I am using the username method now but I don't see where
on kano.is after I log in where I put my BTC address.   Smiley
It's under Account>Settings

Thanks. I didn't see it was giving me an invalid login because Chrome was feeding it my email address I used for the account.

Sorry if this was asked before but when a thread has 1049 pages, doing your homework can be a bit tiresome.  I even googled it and didn't find it.

How long does it take for one's account to be registering in the CKPool?   My Kano.is account is also just about 2.5 hours old now.

I did everything that I understood it said, like creating a worker for each machine but I didn't seem to be getting any readings on pool interface, just in the text box area it said I was mining and getting shares and my hashrate.

I am pointing my antminers to http://stratum.kano.is:3333, using btc addresses with _worker1, _worker2  I didn't register anything else on the pool interface, usual sign-up log in procedures.

There appears to be an issue with the iphone application at the moment: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16877188

Sorry, I was reusing a post on the monitor thread.  This is just about first time user hookup in an Antminer s3....it seems to be registering but not with the website interface and not with other apps like the CKPool Monitor.  I've edited it to make it more appropriate.

Also from the front page, if you want to see user stats when you only register with a BTC address and not a username:

If you mine only with a bitcoin address you can view user and worker stats:
e.g.
http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://www.kano.is/worker.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

Registering a username will allow you to see more details on the web site.

Maybe my problem yesterday was that I did both, I created a username, but didn't use that in my Antminer set-up.  I used
my BTC_workername.  But that doesn't make sense, unless you really can't use your BTC name if you have an account username also
set up.

It's the way it works...if you want to see the greater detail of your workers on the web site, mine with your username_worker.  If not, use your BTC address_worker and see your stats with links formatted like the links above.  Totally your choice but if you do use your username_worker, make sure you put your BTC address in your account for receiving payouts.  Welcome to Kano.is! Cheesy

Always seem to smash them out at around 35 ish.
A good day so far.

On 11/08 we got 6 with an average of 31.80PH
On 10/25 we got 6 with an average of 26.81PH
On 11/08 we got 6 with an average of 31.80PH
On 09/16 we got 7 with an average of 41.53PH
On 09/04 we got 6 with an average of 42.27PH
On 09/01 we got 6 with an average of 39.82PH
On 04/13 we got 11 with an average of 32.42PH!

Hi I'm trying to dial in my settings on the CKPool kano.is pool. I have my s7s underclocked to 3Th/s. Should I set a minimum Diff for my worker to 4096 or 8192? Or should I just leave it at 0 (auto) and CKPool will feed me what it needs. I have left it at 0 (auto) and I get a lot of Diff 1024 or 1536. Just wanted to make sure I am optimizing workload because antpool was giving me Diff 4096 and 8192. Appreciate any advice.
Leave it at default unless there's a bug in the bitmain miner version you are using.

Either way it makes no difference though, since the bug is usually that it displays block counts wrong in the miner but doesn't affect shares or blocks being found (and I think they may have fixed that eventually ... though I don't know what versions)
The bug occurred when the diff was an exact power of 2 - e.g. like 4096 or 8192 (or 1024 or 2048)

Me, too...both about two years ago (at 66). Nice to be able to see again, though, even with a tad of difficulty.  Kiss

Sure nice to see blocks emerging.

Hey...bitgamesolo...let the pool set the diff. Works fine, probably the best for you. IMHO.

EDIT: FWIW...I've noticed a lot of design changes on Canaan's site over the past few weeks as they moved into this phase, including not only the support ticket code, but also the buying module. All I have noticed has been good change, but I haven't had to use the new purchase mechanism yet. Maybe the code serf just forgot? That would be nice.

4 blocks yesterday and 3 in the basket this morning - keep it going! (despite the rise in difficulty) Grin

GREAT start to the day!!

What a great way to wake up this morning!  3 blocks in the hopper with lots of time to go for more today! Cheesy

Now if I can only figure out how to do the bank transfer to pay for my new AvalonMiner 721 I'll be in business  Huh

My bank (Bank of Hawaii) uses SWIFT for intl tx's. I have to go to the branch, however, to initiate it as it can't be done online. I also have to drive 27 miles to the only branch on the island that can do it.

Glad I'm a onesie-twosie in that respect...they're fine with PayPal for mine.

And yeah! Absofrakkinglutely GREAT start to the day...  Cool

I only ordered 1 but I didn't get any indication of PayPal as an option.  Maybe I should ask?

EDIT: Come on, 1 more today to put us over the expected number of blocks for November!  Grin

I'd ask. Shouldn't be an issue, I would think...but although they've been great with me so far, it does seem they've got the usual bean counters in finance, so who knows.
Doing a wire transfer for $1K for one machine seems a bit much.

Wanna REALLY good chuckle...I got a new RPi in for this 721...an RPi3 (the last one I bought was a 2). I didn't have my readers on, and...couldn't find the microSD slot on that tiny little board. Seriously. It's hell getting old.

Yeah cataract surgery  in both eyes one at 52 the other at 55.

FAR is good
 middle is good
close no no no find the readers Grin

I will ask for paypal option.
