Good start to the day with one block already in the queue, time for a rally!  Cheesy

I'm looking forward to real customer support with Avalon 721.  I've placed my order but now I'm waiting patiently to pay.  Grin

I dunno that I want to go into any details...no sense, really...but I want to share that I think Canaan has the best support staff and mechanism around...at least compared to the competition, but really...very good. Because of their generous, patient, and timely approach I was able to figure out that the problem with the A6 connections cooking (the same thing started to happen on this new replacement unit, but I caught it immediately and I think saved the box...it still hashes OK).

The pigtails I was using on the newer A6s all came from the same place, and they were a separate batch from all others I've used. They were the ones that caused the fails; the substance used to affix the leads into the male PCIe plugs breaks down under what would be considered normal current flow and heat. It smells like boiling Brasso when it starts to melt. I've been able to mitigate it for the time being by doubling up the leads to the plugs with known good material. I'll build some entirely new ones when I get a little free time.

Anyway...Angela and Jon have been super, and have treated me exceptionally well. We (miners of all flavors) may have a real, true corporate partner here.

Sorry if this was asked before but when a thread has 1049 pages, doing your homework can be a bit tiresome.  I even googled it and didn't find it.

How long does it take for one's account to be registering in the CKPool?   My Kano.is account is also just about 2.5 hours old now.

I did everything that I understood it said, like creating a worker for each machine but I didn't seem to be getting any readings on pool interface, just in the text box area it said I was mining and getting shares and my hashrate.

I am pointing my antminers to http://stratum.kano.is:3333, using btc addresses with _worker1, _worker2  I didn't register anything else on the pool interface, usual sign-up log in procedures.

There appears to be an issue with the iphone application at the moment: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16877188

Sorry, I was reusing a post on the monitor thread.  This is just about first time user hookup in an Antminer s3....it seems to be registering but not with the website interface and not with other apps like the CKPool Monitor.  I've edited it to make it more appropriate.

Also from the front page, if you want to see user stats when you only register with a BTC address and not a username:

If you mine only with a bitcoin address you can view user and worker stats:
e.g.
http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://www.kano.is/worker.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

Registering a username will allow you to see more details on the web site.

Maybe my problem yesterday was that I did both, I created a username, but didn't use that in my Antminer set-up.  I used
my BTC_workername.  But that doesn't make sense, unless you really can't use your BTC name if you have an account username also
set up.

It's the way it works...if you want to see the greater detail of your workers on the web site, mine with your username_worker.  If not, use your BTC address_worker and see your stats with links formatted like the links above.  Totally your choice but if you do use your username_worker, make sure you put your BTC address in your account for receiving payouts.  Welcome to Kano.is! Uh...maybe I misread something, but...you can't append a worker name after a BTC address, can you? Don't you have to setup a user account, then workers?

I dunno...I've never mined direct to an address like that.
Yep you can.

There's no "registration" time delay Smiley
If you successfully create an account on the web site i.e. can login to it, then you can mine to it.
If, instead, you mine to a BTC address, there's nothing to do in advance, it will just work ... as long as it's a valid BTC address Smiley

I think the election results will not be as surprising as the way he runs the office.

I will leave it at that.

At Kano are you going to get a few Avalon 7s for prizes?

The gear goes on order soon.

Has anyone ordered it or use it yet. I know I am going to,get a few.

Thanks to kano, I have made some early interactions with xiangfu, jon and team for the A7s.

Canaan sales team (Ms Angela) has confirmed by email my intention to purchase xx units of A7 this week and prepared my invoice early. I still need to do the actual order coming 14th Nov though through their portal. Ensure you have account created to start the order process.

You may drop Angela an email for more information.

Sent email no reply and no sign of sales on the website or twitter.  Why bother making the announcement?

So tired of asic sellers.  Always late. Not like they don't have the gear.

Got a message from Jon Philips ".... hang on tight".

Hope they meet their announcement promise - in any new product launch - timing is everything.

Block!  like an hour ago...  Where is everybody?  The world hasn't ended yet!

Cheers to jbalsley, looks like one of their S9's cracked the latest block!  Is it time to buy the A7(21)'s?
Well...frankly...if I could right now, I would (buy an A7). Gotta save up a bit more btc, though. Nice to see an S9 be productive in any case. We seem to be doing quite OK.

My replacement A6 (and an RPi) are on the truck...and Sky Pilot's new milspec service dog vest should be at the PO...feels like Christmas...

Mine on!
