Well, folks, the time has come to upgrade my mining rig to more than just "the little Avalon6 that could"...

When I saw how cheap the 741 is going for these days and is still basically break-even at my electric rate, I decided to take the plunge!

So, are there any pitfalls I should watch out for when reflashing an already finicky SD card that's currently stuck in read-only mode due to some cluster count mismatch?

Should I just start from scratch with a new SD card?

Any link to the best 741 RPi3 setup would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

MINE ON (with more power)!!!
IT'S ALIVE!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!

Thanks for everyone's help too! Cool

Maybe I am in the wrong here, but why exactly was it necessary to do an update that obviously derailed (so far) a perfect month?
The correlation is uncanny, probabilities and whatnot.

Personally, don't care about asicboost capability; OK to have it, but not by messing up the stats for non-asicboost peeps.
It's barely profitable for some folks as it is at 100%.
Read Help->Luck on the web site.

OK, thanks.

I think it best if kanosan say nothing about where/how he found this bug.  Why help those who are obviously playing politics?  I hate politics!  Angry

Honorable ones demonstrate with facts their assertions.

Despicable ones use every trick to extract benefit of other's work

Open source is a toy that attracts both the honorable ppl and the despicable ones. Honorable people use it to share knowledge. Despicable ones use it to steal and hide that knowledge.
I've explained in detail what the problems are with the buggy untested pool software in Discord on a few occasions.
Nothing hidden about the bugs.

But when - on 2 occasions - those bugs have been "run the software it always fails" and I have mentioned that here also, I'm not sure what else needs to be said.
That's the first of the current bugs. Just run it. It fails.

Evil beware: We have waffles!
Why do they have interests to avoid people to use kano ?  Huh
Ask the 'other' pool operator who is also the dev that re-wrote the firmware for the T1. My post in the Innosilicon thread was also deleted, again no notice as to why or by which mod but pretty good guess as who it is.

@ kanno: The bug you found - was it in the pool software or the stratum code? (different devs wrote them)

Now to see if the mods leave it alone...

Your Legendary status might help.  I lost a lot of stats when I switched userids last November.
Nope. Last night the post along with replies from Phillipma1957, Rifleman, Kano, and at least 1 other user (who mainly runs his T1's on a certain other pool) were deleted. My post was fairly carefully worded to be on-topic and certainly not an ad for here. Anyone get a PM from the mods as to why? I didn't.

Kinda get the feeling a certain pool op/mod (He Who Shall Not Be Named) is playing politics here. Too much exposure to Halongatosis?

Just checked: It's already profitable by $2/wk at $8200/BTC! Cool

Also, my wife let me know that everything just arrived in the mail!

Can't wait!!!

Damm... I need some coffee.  First read of that was "profitable by $2k/wk" - I was like WTF!

Good... So I wasn´t the only one.  Grin

Isn't the 741 losing $US 1 per day? How do you manage that with hosting?
...I'd rather mine at near break-even than get involved with the exchanges. That's just my personal preference, though.
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully the price will even out to be profit in the *near* future.  : Cool

Not sure if this was directed to me or EncoreMining, but I'd rather mine at near break-even than get involved with the exchanges. That's just my personal preference, though.

Edit: I don't have anything hosted either.
