Edit:  I was waiting until the R4 became available about 5 minutes ago...and holy crap!  8.6TH for $1395 USD!  Angry  I'm putting my KeepKey back in the safe...

You too can buy 66.7% of the hash rate for 87.2% of the price. Smiley  Or not!

Comparing R4 to S9 - I assume they are truly trying to hit the home market that can't support an S9.

Probably...but not well thought-out, perhaps.

Was there a server problem at 3:29:14 PDT (10:29 UTC, I think)?

I got a low hash rate warning email and "Connection closed" errors in the proxy log at that time.
Not that I've seen.
Hash rate has stayed between 43.5 and 45.5 for the last 4 hours without any blips.

Edit: oh - that's just before 4 hours ago ... oops ... ok I'll make graph an hour longer to check for sure (but I've not seen any problems ...)
OK - yep all ok for 5 hours.

@kano.. could you update on the bdr for bmminer?  TIA

BR
These numbers are since 15-May so that covers the whole time that S9 existed up to when I last processed a payout about 9 hours ago.
Of course they aren't all the S9/S*/Avalon/? miners pointing at the pool, since people use proxies and thus you don't know which miners are in which proxies.
It's also only for 'names' that have found 2 or more blocks (since a CDF[Erl] is pointless on 1 block):
Code:
CDF[Erl] | Name                         |              BDR | Blocks
----------+------------------------------+------------------+-------
 0.970762 | stratehm-stratum-proxy-0.8.0 |   5.38646356 BDR | 2 B
 0.911821 | proxy/1.0.0                  |   4.04721831 BDR | 2 B
 0.820291 | bmminer/1.0.0                |  29.49801630 BDR | 25 B
 0.691100 | cgminer/4.8.0                | 181.34345086 BDR | 175 B
 0.549655 | cgminer/4.9.2                |  66.68296263 BDR | 66 B
 0.386462 | ckpool/0.9.3                 |   1.33766515 BDR | 2 B
 0.333139 | stratehm-stratum-proxy-0.8.1 |   2.03626614 BDR | 3 B
 0.253303 | cgminer/4.7.0                |  12.27388443 BDR | 15 B
 0.044521 | cgminer/4.9.0                |  88.22441937 BDR | 105 B
 0.030328 | cgminer/3.9.0                |   1.15907820 BDR | 4 B

Edit: oh and in case it wasn't obvious ...
Assuming that 4.9 is avalon and 4.8+4.7+bm is bitmain ... ... guess which has performed best, when directly connected to the pool, over the last 3.5 months ...

Oh well - strike that out Smiley
4.9.0 is prolly mostly bitmain Tongue

I'd consider renting 5ph, my concern is it wouldn't help our low luck streak and I'd be out some cash.
Yes I agree.
In general, you wont expect to do anything but make a loss renting.
A lot of people use the *Hash site and, well, losing 6% in fees there (then another 0.9% fees here) certainly puts you well within the realms of losing out doing it.

Love seeing a block.

Need at least a couple more! These two-blocks days in a row are a little painful.

yes i expect it. just i dont see any block found by s9 users.  most of my miners are labeled as such.. s7 with a number etc.. s9 ... and so on.. can anyone here say they have found blocks with s9?  Just curious.. im sure is just a dry spell. but with closed source sw i dont feel 100 %  May in turn its all unwarranted concern but thats why this is supposed to be open source. but anyway..

Best Regards

Not that I want to be a party killer, but we need additional 5-10PH to get to those 8-10 block days.
Bitclub is running the same pool software at 60PH and they are killing it at the moment with all their new S9`s

One of my S9's found a block a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately, it's the same S9 that has a bad BB board and hash board that are somewhere in China by now I hope. Sad

Been a while since I woke up to no blocks...but it happens. Good time to clean the equipment racks and get the harnesses set for the second A6 tomorrow. More coffee.
