two s9's running hot (71c) 12.85 version at 600mhz

You will find that most miners have a "sweet spot". very few of mine are running at stock settings. I've even overclocked one that ran at the same speed and temperature dropped dramatically.
Yeah, same here...even for S3s, of all things...maybe even more so. I've got six here at home, some running at 250 w/45C and 500GH, and another from the same batch right next to it that pulls 490GH on 225, but overheats at anything faster...each has it's own personality in that respect. It's part of the reason I chose the naming convention. They fit.

Not to distract from the thread topic too far -- but, I recently put up some of my S9's for rent on MRR as an experiment -- and after the very first night I looked at the dashboard and saw that each machine had found from between 1 and 3 blocks -- in 12 hours.
Now -- this is impossible.
Does MRR mine for alt coins form the hashing we are putting up for rental? Or, did the renters use the machines for some alt coin? These are the only 2 possibilities that I can think of.
Just curious if anyone here knows. I tried google, but not that much info out there.
