wow its amazing to see how much this pool has grown in the last few months. my bookmark for his page showed 15ph as the current hash, it is now double.

the growth is simply down to this is a better place to mine then everywhere else, and word of mouth or forum posts if you want to be technical.

other pools should take note, kano is proof you can have a rapidly growing pool and still provide customer service and a hands on approach.

although im sure kano would like to be hands off on some of the items (ie payments) so that he can get some sleep every once in awhile.

We found another block after 1 H 5 m 24 s ! Approximately 19.6 %Diff - Found @ 2016-03-09 12:28:43
Block # 401867
Awesome Avalon6 farm Cheesy
yes they are and the big fat 0 HW is incredible Wink
So if I drop my clock a bit on my s7's and get the hardware errors to lower/non-existant the s7's are more efficient and more likely to get a block?
Blocks are slipping away on hardware errors? Crap. Should have fixed them sooner.
As Phil has already said, a low HW error rate is insignificant.
However, it's easier to look at it this way:

If you generate 1 billion diff and lose 100 in errors, that's a pretty small %
However, if you reduce that 100 to say 10, but reducing the 1 billion to 900 million, yes you've made a bad move doing that, since your total hashes has now fallen 100,000,000 to save only 90 errors.
A small number of errors is expected.

I have clocked batch 1, 2, 3, 4

Batch 10, 11

s-7's      for most units  best settings are a

 5% freq underclock

hw's drop under .0050%  and watts per gh tend to be best.

bigger under clocks like 600 to 500 will give perfect 0.0000 or 0.0001% rate  but the watts per gh tend to go upwards just a hair.

over clocks vary  although my batch 2 rated for 575 freq and 4660 at .25 watts can do

freq 625 5100gh  with 0.0001 to 0.0009 % errors  and do it at .26watts  truly the best of all the s-7's that I have received.

it was one of the two in the screen shot above and the controller can do 6 boards and run 4 fans.

and I never touched the firmware. (thank god as the newer firmware killed off the 6 board 4 fan action)

Interested as well to the answer on this...my HW on an S7 shows 21,352...I'd like to be as efficient as possible.

hw means less then  hw %    so 0.0050 or less is really good

what is your %

here are 2 batch twos running on 1 batch 2 controller see the 0.0003%

these two are doing 4680 each but  .24 watts a gh on platinum psus'

see downclock in freq from 575 to 568  note batch 2 are 575 clock 4660 gh rated

guys, how do you calculate your HW %? been trying to figure it out, but i'm clueless
From my API code Smiley

https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/api.c#L2054

Diff1 is all the work done by the device, so: HW/Diff1 HW/(Diff1+HW)

Edit: heh typo Smiley

Can we get a couple payouts soon?  I really don't want to take my last $20 to the bank to hold speed, but I will if I have to.  #tryingtocomeup

I see two pending in my wallet... Now just need a block to get the confirmation party rolling.

Phil, how is the best share for that 9.2TH after 17 hours running only 995?  Or is that the infamous Bitmain bestshare reporting bug?

yeah that was the block reporting bug.

guys, how do you calculate your HW %? been trying to figure it out, but i'm clueless

It's the HW errors divided by the Diff1# or DiffA#...my 0.0017% is currently 22876 / 1,376,175,335 * 100 = 0.00166229% or 0.0017%

EDIT:  And it's right there on your cgminer...why would you need to calculate it?

I'm going to have to look into some hosting solutions, these block parties are pretty cool.

You think Avalon is better hardware or better software or both?
Since Avalon uses the latest cgminer and listens to Kano and ck and works with them I'm sure they would say the software is better.  The hardware is slightly less efficient power wise than the S7, but to me it is worth supporting Avalon because of how they support cgminer.

good catch but look at upper right and see date is last year OCT 29 ,2015

I think we're looking at Avalon for the next box as well. We were already committed to the S7, but no worries.

Woke up to over 36Ph, and six blocks. Nice. The big hash jump lowered our rewards by almost 30%...but there are six blocks "in the pipe," and so the total comes out about the same for this round. Can't get around the math. We've got an S7 coming in that will double our output (we're a small farm...sort of a digital acreage), and plans for two more, but that's all the power we have available at this site. Good to see new folks coming on. Best to all.

would love to know who it is and see pics of the farm. it must be massive.

I can only imagine the amount of heat being produced and the amount of power being consumed. you could probably hear the electric buzz in the area from that much draw.

I know...I have hardware envy!  I keep saying to myself "no, I'm not jealous at all..."  Grin  2999THs / 3.5THs = ~856 Avalon6

That 3ph of avalons is a BIG farm. Just need a BIG pile of money.
That many will generate a lot of heat and use a lot of power.
Not a small task.
Yes , a welcome addition to the kano clan.

How often does someone get 4 blocks in 32hours. And how often does someone go about 24hrs at 3PH/s - at least here at Kano.is

Sorry for questions literally my second week of mining.

gettting 4 blocks in 32 hours with hash rate is almost a miracle. sure glad he's mining with us.

some pools with his hash rate take days to get a block.
