AVALON6 GIVEAWAY is very close!
The contest has started but we wont know who wins which prize until the first block is mined on the network in April (UTC time). However this block could be in the running for the prize that's assigned the highest CDF (assuming a valid contest miners gets this block).

To understand that in maths terms: if you increase the Diff, you get fewer stales, but each with higher difficulty.
The overall effect, the same total stale diff
The reverse of course is also true, lower Diff means more stales but each with lower difficulty.
The long term effect is almost linear so you wont gain or lose by doing it.
The non-linear effect is bitcoin difficulty changes, but when compared to the time frame of shares, that has almost zero effect.

anyone know what happened to blocks 400443 and 400445. looks like payment for 400492 came through before the other two...??
Yep, no one has made it onto the March possible-winners list yet There's now 3 payouts awaiting a confirm - and about to be a 4th one in 4 network blocks time.
Whoever gets the next pool block (in the near future) will also cheer us all up by confirming all the pending payouts
400492 was confirmed by someone else.
