Woke up this morning to a pile of blocks, went to check Kano.is and panicked. Then thought to myself, wait let's go check the thread. All is good (and my miners are hashing away).

There'll be a full CKDB + CKPOOL restart some time in about 20-30 minutes - after the next shift completes and gets summarised.
For CKPool most users (99%) should just see a reconnect in cgminer if they happen to be watching it.
For CKDB, the web page stats will be unavailable for about 10-20 minutes.

anyone has any idea why I cannot set de.kano.is:3333 on mining rig rentals. stratum.kano.is:3333 works just fine. but since I'm renting from Europe I would like to redirect to the de servers.

The de server blocks non-eu rentals, but it doesn't block eu rentals.thanks in advance.
the rig i'm renting from is located in Amsterdam (EU) but still not able to connect. i'm getting the following error : we are unable to connect to the pool provided. so not sure if that is the problem ...

Kano, when I switch from mining to btc address to a registered user account that uses that same btc address how does the 5nd play?
Ramp down on btc address and ramp up on userid?

Makes no difference to your total payout, but yes the stats will go down for one and up for the other.

Network hashrate has to hit the wall for a bit at some point. Has been a brutal increase.

and bitcoinwisdom has charts that go back about 2 years.

With the high failure rates of S5+ and S7 units (later batches), you couldn't pay me to take one of these miners and run them in my house.

it was from an S5+ dps2000 i had been working since september of 2015 
What do you think is the root cause? Missing heat sink? Was there any warning indicators (ie board was running hotter than others for a while before this happening, etc)? Glad to see the burn out stops within the card only.
Edit iam glad for the Avalon6 which imo is it superior,has not produce HW as of yet
Edit: it kept on mining it just reported board 3 as dead i shut it down and disconnected power and data cable and stated buck up until today
Pictures like that really make me worry about my equipment catching fire as well. Sorry to hear about that but glad nothing else caught on fire. Were you running it at the default frequency?
