Your 'Workers'->'Shift Graph' must show an average of 300GHs or more - and less than 250THs

Oh.....haha.  I read it as 300TH for some reason.  Time to get some coffee.

Avalon and kano.is are having another great miner give-away!

Over the next 5 months we will be giving away 1 Avalon A6 per month.

Be a miner here with more than 300GHs - and less than 250THs - and you could win one of the 5 Avalon A6 miners!

Details:

Only one Avalon A6 per winner.

Each month starts on the 1st day of the month at UTC 00:00 timezone.
The first month, January, starts on the 18th at UTC 00:00

If for any month, the miner isn't won, it will continue into the following months until someone wins it.
Each month adds a new miner to be won, so during some months there could be more than 1 winner if there was no winner the previous month.

Avalon will be supplying and shipping a miner to each winner.
It will be an Avalon6 x1, 4-pin-cable x2, AUC x2, without PSU - as shown in the pictures below (but silver - not black)
The Avalon A6 does 3.5THs +/- 5% at approx 1100W at the wall.

Avalon is great with cgminer!
The master cgminer git is kept up-to-date by Avalon submitting their changes, and they incorporate all the master cgminer changes!

Details about the Avalon A6 can be found on the bitcoin wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon6

Your 'Workers'->'Shift Graph' must show an average of 300GHs or more - and less than 250THs - on the red average line - for the sum of all your miners.
So if you want to be a winner you better make sure you are already mining 300GHs or more on your account now.
Note, of course, I can see anyone's 'Shift Graph' including address miners.

Now, just in case we do find any orphans, the orphans will also count as winners as long as the share isn't submitted too late.
The late timelimit is of course any time before, but also up to exactly 2 seconds after the pool sees a block change, according to the pool logs.
No adjustments or arguments about the exact 2 second limit.
No miners should be submitting blocks that late, so it's not a special requirement.

You will have to supply an address that Avalon can ship it to via EMS or DHL.
It doesn't have to be your own address, but it has to be possible for them to ship to your chosen address.
If you cannot supply an address EMS or DHL will ship to, then the prize will be awarded to the next winning block finder.

If you mine to an address, you'll need to sign a message with the winning address, to identify who is the contact to claim the prize.

If you don't want to supply contact details to ship it to, then the prize will be awarded to the next winning block finder.

One last important thing - my decision on the winners are final.
If there is any confusion or misunderstanding about how the winner is chosen, I retain the right to choose who the winner is in the event of any disagreement.

This is great, thank-you for doing this competition, lets find some blocks!  Grin

This is awesome stuff and needs more air play time so I'm quoting it again as I missed it due until I went back to search for ZACHM's responses.  Only 1 question.  Why exclude user who have 251-299TH from the competition?  Is it above 300TH can win 1 and below 250TH can win 1 during the same month?  Would love to win 1 of these babies.  They're my favorite miners.  =)

P.S Thanks for doing this and this is what is makes this pool one of the greatest.  Low fees, great group of folks and 100% focus on keeping us hard working miners happy.

Nice contest !!!  Thanks Kano and avalon, this will be fun.  I do have a problem with this part though :  "If for any month, the miner isn't won, it will continue into the following months until someone wins it."

If we dont find a block for a month Sad

250THs coincidentally odds to about a month for finding a block (~23 days).    gotta make you wonder if it's a coincidence  Wink

Steve0 and Steve1 already doubling his odds lol  Its possible he already was split or is two diff people tho..Smiley

Kano can you check the large users and see if they split up their accounts Smiley  lets keep it fair  .. be nice to go to a smaller miner guys:)

Best Regards

He's been split since he started here, I think he has 2 physical locations and tracks them separately for revenue reasons.

I didn't say anywhere that he can't do that if he wanted to.
He's had 2 accounts for ages since he joined anyway.
That's not something new.

The point of the upper limit is so that someone with 500THs, who doesn't really care about winning one miner, wont win one.

If they do care, they can of course make a worker with 50TH if they want.

The lower limit is coz I don't want to attract hundreds of tiny miners to the pool.
The pool hashrate vs workers is very good. Lots of tiny miners makes that not as good.

Thanks for thanking both party's for their generosity.

If the block finders are below 300Ghs or over 250Ths then it will carry over.  No use giving an A6 to a largish mining farm.

Hi, there was an outage on the Russian node for about 40minutes (fixed about an hour ago)
Sorry about that, I've not heard why it happened, but the network at the datacenter in Moscow went ... to be blunt ... to crap.
Been all OK for the last hour though.

Edit: finally got an update.
The servers were DDoSed but we weren't the target Smiley

Nice contest... but I see very slim chances to get a block from my 1.4 THs  Cry
Cheer up! I managed to found a block in solo.ckpool.org with 1.2THs  Wink  So anything is possible.

Nice, how long were you mining for?
I think it was within a day after I added my Antminer S2 to support S1 (OCed) (equals totally 1.2THs).

Awesome Kano and Avalon.  This is amazing.  Thank you very much.

For those of you saying there's no chance.  You always have the chance to win.  Remember, we're all just really playing the lottery and you can hit at any time!

Great contest!  Makes it even more exciting to mine here. Thanks for doing this.  Is this just the miner or does the Pi come with it too?
