Ok, I'm seeing something strange re the last two payouts and I wonder if anyone else is seeing the same.  Looking at my payout address I see the last two payouts in my wallet are still at 0 confirmations after 6 and 3 hours respectively.

Are we getting the cold shoulder from the network re our transactions (unlikely I'd think) or is my wallet app out of sync (mycellium)?

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.

Keep calm and mine on!

Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: The Maximum number of outputs in a single transaction is 250

Some other node will have to pick it up.

Well a bit OT but if -ck and kano-san will indulge us a bit of bandwidth...

As with any complicated system that is worthy of study, take it small easy pieces at a time.  For instance, beside a breakfast dish or mystical vapor, what exactly is a hash? How is it calculated? Once you have a better understanding of that, then add to it. Keep adding small increments until a bigger picture starts to form in your mind.  Then come back here and ask deeper questions when you hit a wall!

Now let's crack a block already.  Pretty soon we're going to start feeling like all our mojo nonsense is actually that, just nonsense... no fun in that, eh?  Wink

Though, due to a bug in satoshi's original code ... it's done every 2016 but based on 2015 Tongue
End case bug.
Aw man, I knew that and forgot...  see folks, kano-san is on the case making sure we got it right.  Have I mentioned I love this place? Well I do!

Now let's get back to block popping popcorn!

Just looked over at Slush's...they've only solved one block in like 11 hours...I'm not worried.

So far i think 100PH has left the network in last 12 hours, look at the block rates. I think 40-50PH from Ant and 40-50PH from F2. Guess they don't want the backlash from Mike's Hearns letter, so they can say who us? we don't control the network.

So we're at 700B network hashrate and almost 12 minutes between blocks. How long before the network adjusts speed? Please help me understand short term difficulty adjustments.
Every 2016 blocks the difficulty will be adjusted based on the average time per block during the last 2016.  Since the wanted time per block is 10 minutes, 2016x10min/60/24 gives 14 days, or 2 weeks.  Every 2 weeks (2016 blocks actually but close to the ideal 2 weeks) the difficulty is adjusted proportionately based on wanted versus actual time per block.  There is no shorter time frame in which difficulty is adjusted.

Hope that helps!  I love this math stuff, warms the cockles of my engineering heart!

Interesting that the year is now currently the same as difficulty block set size.  Coincidence or...?

Mike Hearns?  Like who? Mike Hunt is more like it!  Tongue I read somewhere once, "Beware the false prophets" and as they say opinions are like, well, you know... Everyone's got one and they all think their's don't stink.  Well, it does, mr. Hunt, so go take your circus sideshow somewhere else. We are the kano ckpool faithful, we believe in what we and our sysops are doing, and will keep on keeping on!
Keep calm and mine on, as they say.

Lastly, as I head to bed tonight i say it's time to crack a triple block run before I wake up tomorrow morning.  Only right, right?  Cool

You need to fill in the rewards manually.

Ok thanks.

P.S Zach your rewards Tab is awesome even though I have to manually input it.  It's very cool!  Does it translate to the BTC price for that specific day regardless of when you manually enter it?  Meaning it's smart enough to pull from a database for historic prices?  Is there a way to export this data or is the best way to just copy and paste to Excel?  Very nice work sir.  I'm going to send a small donation as a token of my appreciation for such a wonderful tool.  I hope many others will follows.  Your tool is awesome.

Zach I put in my API key and same results.  That's why I removed it before.  I just re added it and still no changes.  Can you check if I'm doing something else incorrectly?

Nevermind, I think the site takes a 5 mins to populate.  I'm seeing it now!  AWESOME AWESOME TOOL!

P.S Everything worked, rewards info still isn't showing up yet.  Does that take longer time to propagate?

Gotta spend some more bucks for inverter/charger and backup bank. The power goes out on our little island fairly regularly; I've got good protection on the circuits (conditioners/isolators/etc.), so I'm not so concerned about damage. It's just that my Internet provider can take 15 min or more to resync the modem, and so I can't start to bring miners on line until maybe 20 min after the power comes back. Power went out an hour ago for 40 min; came back on 20 min ago; just now back up. Argh. Rant over. Gonna hit Costco for some deep-cycle marines, I guess. Hoped to see a new block when I came back, but...well, shuckens...  Cool

Bottom line is seeing how long it takes for my hash rate to normalize on the pool again.

Does it matter what browser to use?  I'm using Chrome and in setting under individual workers, I only see save button but nothing to edit them.  I also can't see my rewards or hashrate.

You don't have your apikey set in your settings.

ZACHM, You are a Genius.  Thank you for helping us out in giving us more detailed information that we can adjust.  Thanks!

Thanks, glad you like it.

Thanks Zach!  Just in time for me...I have a small miner that I only power up for testing purposes (and for the nostalgia of seeing the old cmd cgminer interface again).  I was reluctant to put it on Kano.is because I do not run it at night and I didn't want to get the down miner emails whenever I shut it down.  Now I can see if your new addition works!

Sound like a good way to test it out. Let me know if it works good for you.

A whole thread on the subject:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pps-block-withholding-and-rentals-1002086

And my recent comment to not-so-nice-hash about it - completely ignored coz they get paid no matter what - why would they care if anyone block withholds?

Thanks all for the comments and references, very interesting.

ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com update:

Several people requested it and I think I have it all working now, if not, things will go bad and the internet might melt.  Wink

Go into your Account Settings and at the bottom there should be options for each of your Workers.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Yeah I think Zach and Kano should combine their work into 1 website to give Kano.is the cool factor that Slush have.  I know as a newbie, I really enjoyed the interface Slush had and the eye candy chart and details similar to what Zach made.  I also love Zach's timeline chart that shows all the hashing rate, Pool total Hash, block found info etc.  Very very cool stuff.

P.S Love this summary Chart in the home page!  It clearly showed that on January 10-12, whoever rented hash rate made good money and whoever rented on the 13/14 probably loss a tiny bit of money but if it's over a 3 or 5 days average then it's still profitable.    I did pretty well from the the 11-12.
