I had a advertise in Marketplace about selling the coupons. And one guy PM me and tell me that he gonna buy all, but I'm a Newbie and I have to send coupons first. So I send a coupon, he sad thank you and never send me a payment. What I can do?
This is not fair. Who sad that a Newbie is not trustworthy?
Who can help me? thank you. Or is better that I forget everything? Until when I gonna be a Newbie?

Hey sorry that happened to you, scammers will commonly try any means such, as pressure or belittling to get you into the trap.

Save all your PM's, I did find your AD in the auctions section and it looks like they didn't even comment there just PM'd you. So you will want to open a Scam Accusation against the user.

Usually a DT member will then tag them with Negative trust, unfortunately no one can guarantee you will receive your payment. You will also need to prove you sent them the coupon, not sure how that can be seen via Bitmains website.

Good luck

Why not leave the cooling in it? I live in Phoenix and I'm looking for something like a big Floral/Beer cooler to mount mining rigs in. Wintertime just shut it off.

Hi all,

Today i finished most of the work on my new mini-farm.
I thought i'd share it here, in order to bring other people on good ideas.
I just took the effort to transfer th pictures to my email, put in a folder, upload, adjust size, and upload to forum. Its quite a task, and now the pics are turned 90 degree, so please rotate your head or monitor please  Grin Grin

Very nice work. I'm working on something similar, but I never thought about using an old fridge. What size is the air inlet and outlet for your box? I think that's what I'm struggling the most with right now. I can't get more than 3 841's and 1 741 running in mine without things overheating.

What you can do is, post the PM conversation in YOUR post in the marketplace. Make it "public knowledge" that the person never paid you, by posting in the same thread YOU started in the marketplace. Then, go to the person's profile, and leave
 NEGATIVE TRUST
. Explain they never paid you, in the comment section on their Trust page. If they want the mark removed, they will have to pay you.

As far as being a newbie, you have to "rank up" with activity and merit points:

I will edit and add more text while i upload this.

The story:

Last year i started to mine with innosilicon miners that i bought secondhand. This was so profitable, i bought another 4 sets.
I started to read about mining, bitmain, etcetera. I sold my Innosilicon's A4's with good profit and ordered 7 S9's at Bitmain.
In the waiting process, bitcoin rose and rose and rose, and i had nothing to mine with! So i bougt 4 S9's on the market for more money (yes, i roi'd.) (man.. these things were loud!)
My barn started to heat up, and the messy way they were situated irritated me, so at first, i bought a big most silent roof fan that i could find. It had a capacity of 4000 cubic meters an hour. This meant that when it was running, i couldn't open the door of my barn! Clearly i had to make an opeining for fresh air inlet, which i did.

I bought me a 19"rack, and started preparations for the arrival of the 7 S9's.
I insulated the whole rack, and made a hot outlet divider in it. I had the big roof fan connected to the top, and fres air came from below and front.
Result is shown in the first pictures.
Miners arrived, and were added.Weather was quite cold, approx. arount 0 centigrade. A tad noisy, but it was okay.

This worked great, until temps started to rise, and i had to speed up the roof fan, and sometimes had the front door a tad open to let more fresh air in.
Neighbors started to talk to me if the noise could be down during the night, which i did, monitoring with awesome miner.

Then i got it:a big fridge! Totally insulated itself, so adding some sound reducing on the inside should do it!
I bought 10 plates of 8cm (approx 3 inches) thick, and started to insulate the inside. (for the record, the space where thefridge is situated, i insulated the walls and floor as well; the fridge is placed on it)
Fridge cooler has been removed.
Then i started to build a custom fit shelf for the miners. See pic.

Today, i transferred the miners to their new habitat Smiley
As i need to redo power and network, and place the PDU's in the new undercome, things look a bit messy right now. I will make it nice coming weeks, i promise Smiley

First results: incredibly better cooling (the shelf sits approx. 20cm / 8 inches from the back, and top left there's a big hole with a flange to the rooftop fan. It sucks away the hot air and does a perfect job in that.

I have Sonoconnect hose to replace current suction hose, and to make a forced air intake to the cold side if the fridge. I intend to make them temperature controlled, and pressure-difference controlled as regards to the intake.

Nice story huh?

advises?

So here I am, trying to sell all my miners (with PSU) at 1 go, if possible. Details of these miners below:

1. E9+ at 9.2TH/s, 5 months old, direct bought from China ShenZhen, hardly used.
2. S9, ordered in Dec 17 and received in Jan 18, 13.5TH/s, mining since Feb 2018.
3. M3 at 11TH/s, delivered in March 2018, Never mined at all.

And of course escrow is a must, kindly note that shipping cost + escrow fee is at buyer's expense.
*snip*

Hey there just a word of advice, you might be better off to start a topic in the Marketplace and link to it here. It will prevent a ton of messages on the subject popping up on this thread.

When you do so , post pictures with your BTC talk name written on paper for proof of ownership. Include things like where you are shipping from and your asking price.

Good luck with your new job and sale.

Is everyone holding as I am doing for more than 6 months which effectively means more fiat going into BTC.

Personally, My intentions at this moment, are to use my profits to retrieve more equipment to increase my hashrate. After I reach an amount I'm content with, I will hold and watch prices.

I am not acquiring more equipment, not selling any BTC. Electricity paid by fiat. Just wondering how much BTC to hold.

 Huh
Think you answered your own question there!

 Huh

I suppose it depends on how much you're paying for electricity to get the BTC. If you're paying more fiat, than what you're getting back in BTC, it would be cheaper to buy the BTC outright. If you're gaining BTC and not exchanging to pay for the electric bill,  hold your BTC until the price goes up. At that point it's up to the individual, at what price range they want to sell. Everyone has a different situation, as we all pay different prices for electricity, and some people are on a long term plan. (Years not Months)

Cool update here--no increase in hashpower yet, though...yet:

I did what I think is a pretty awesome upgrade for "the little Avalon 6 that could"!

I'M ON 220 VOLT POWER NOW, BABY!!!

You've undoubtedly heard of it being done before, so add me to the list of those that made the switch, and, oh, what a switch it is... Half the noise too!

It's gettin' a little late tonight to give the gory details with church and all in the morning, so I'll upload some pics tomorrow.

To be continued...

Hey all fellow miners,

I have invested over usd$20k over the last 6 months, when my FOMO kicked in last Dec.

Bought my 1st E9+, then a S9 and lastly a Whatsminer M3. Not all $20K was invested into miners, some I used for ICOs, and some other cryptos.

Long story short, I am quite busy with my new job and am gonna get out of crypto for awhile.

Would prefer someone who is keen, to purchase all 3 miners at 1 go. I'm too caught up with this new job and has no time to arrange for multiple shipping.

And of course escrow is a must, kindly note that shipping cost from Singpore + escrow fee is at buyer's expense.

No low-ballers please/low-baller's offer will be ignored.

Thank you

haha  hopefully, I left them configured for my account here..  Maybe he will plug them in and run them and forget to change the config?  hmm likely not...

Just curious, How many miners did you sell?  Were they S7's or S9's?

6 x S9's  I had 7 before, but sold one back in February for alot more.

We've also had a bunch of established members adding more hashrate too. So, although the user count appears lower, the hashrate will increase.

I was never sure if the user count was active user or active devices?  I guess it has to be active users.

Yeah there's a lot more miners+proxies than that connected to the pool Smiley
At the moment, it's (very roughly) 11,000
