Yeah first block after increased difficulty  Cool

Sounds like this Diff is going to be a lucky one for us! Nothing like tackling a new higher diff with the first block of that diff. I've always thought that the first block of a UTC day by a pool signals a good day for that pool. I know it's all BS but why not....

Kano was 2nd block at higher diff

but yes was thinking same spiritual thoughts of luck

And it goes on and on  Shocked

Bitcoin Difficulty:    93,448,670,796
Estimated Next Difficulty:    108,641,439,562 (+16.26%)
Adjust time:    After 2013 Blocks, About 14.1 days
To be specific about that Smiley

The block change is the average over 2016 blocks
(well actually it's 2015 due to a bug when it was first written but ignoring that ...)

A lot of these 'next diff' estimate sites base their estimate only on the blocks since the last change.
So yeah if you base the estimate for the next (2015) blocks on a few ... or even a few hundred ... it will almost certainly be way off.

Wait until there's about 1008 (half way) and it could be a closer estimate ... as long as there's no large amount of new hardware in the 2nd week ...

This change it was 18.1% but early on some of the sites were saying well over 20% some even 30% or more ...

Yay pool currently over 6.5PH Smiley

Sweet, 18% diff jump and 30% pool jump. Keep it up!

@ZachM I love your pool monitor the emails notifying of a block find are great.

Same here.  It also makes it easy to see how your miners are performing over time.  That came in real handy for me yesterday in pinpointing an issue with one of my older machines.

Depends on video card, I have a Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti (a couple years old).
I ran it for 1 hour and found 4 addresses matching this prefix 1ZZZZZ
So average of 1 every 15 minutes.

i did mine case sensitive.. took forever but its just luck.. same as solo mining..

Yeah, mine was case sensitive.

hey Captminer,

I have all the links and resources i used to get it to work on my hd7970. it would hash at 25.2 mil keys a sec.  If you have amd still and want to give it a shot again i can give ya the links.. I used it for my addy here
1D57HeinZbBcBejL6Vp5pwEWsXfyHYUu4o

I didnt set it as case sensitive thats why its upper and lower case.. i tried it and it jumped my time to find to over a year lol

Best Regards
d57heinz

The Nvidia GeForce 660Ti gives me 28.5 mil keys per sec.

If I do the same 1ZZZZZ but case insensitive I get roughly 1 address every minute.

Sigh - ok, out with the simple facts - that most pools seems to hide, so some people don't even understand it:

Any pool will have an expected reward ... after fees.
...

It may balance out and fix a bad period, it may balance out and reduce a good period.
But there is actually no statistical expectation for luck to do that.
Expecting that is called Gambler's Fallacy - google it Smiley

If you mine here long term, you can 'expect' to get close to the expected value, since long term variance is expected to be low.

If you mine here short term, then luck/variance will be the major factor in how much you are rewarded.

I feel like i've seen this posted before to this thread.  It never hurts to toss it out there every 100 pages or so as you get new miners.

This should be a disclaimer on the registration page with a "Check Here to Acknowledge and Accept" requirement to register on the pool.

i would suggest not using the online one, but the link flikflak posted is the source code..
you do have to patch it for newer amd cards.. nasty has a txt at about page 100 or so that has the patch..

it takes about 2-3 days to get a nice 6 letter vanity address.
