Was on nicehash for a long time.
Then tried f2pool and antpool pps.
I have a pretty good idea what the payouts are from those pools.
I'm kano all the way now with 130th. Just moved.
Getting at least the same payout as the pps pools on kano after the ramp up.
Plus this pool has a forum, there are devs to chat with and they care about their miners.
Main plus is the stability. The up and down action of other pools wreaks havoc on my miners, psu's and remote switch pdu's.
When kano goes down it is mostly for administration duties/patches.
Mining part is VERY smooth on kano.
Nice to know when admin tasks are being performed. Otherwise you are just in the dark.

Yup- saw about your hashing power on NiceHash. NiceHash was always the "standard bearer" for me too. I know that your testimonial is reliable. Been following you for a while now. you're one of the guys I trust. When I saw you pointed all your rigs here too, I said to myself: "there goes another of the guys I trust pointing everything here. It has to be right"

Kano has never hidden anything. Over the lifetime of the pool, luck is over 100%...so even when there's bad times, the good times make up for it. I think I've found the pool I'll settle with. My S7's seem to like it here.

10 days is nowhere near a long enough sample size to make any determinations. I've been running a test for an entire year on p2pool - comparing standard p2pool payouts to OgNasty's/Nonnakip's NastyPoP implementation. That's a far better sample size . Take a look at kano's pool vs some of the others over the past year and you'll get an idea of how it fares.

( For example, when you look at ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com , the current 30 day average here is 0.00816446. Kano's long term average is the highest of any pool. So, I think a lot come here expecting to immediately do better than on another pool. However, after say 5 days, if they aren't seeing the same 5 day average ( ex: 0.00921269 by end of yesterday on ckpoolmonitor), they don't understand and don't say anything. They simply go to another pool. )
Anyway, I have seen your numbers. Also, I have followed many of you on a plethora of forums and have come to trust certain guys who have switched here in the last few weeks. So, I'm going to stay here a lot longer than i usually do when checking out a new pool

I also moved over here from slush. I always wanted to try kano, but never had a reason - untill now .

And one of the better reasons for sticking with kano is that it's NOT a Chinese pool!
Weather a pool is Chinese or not is irrelevant tbh. Like Bitcoin, the internet is global & does not recognize countries or borders. What is important is weather a pool is SPV mining or not. Any SPV pool in any country should be avoided

For example:
If a person could run 10 THS on each for the same 10 day period, it would be nice to see them post their results.

10 days wouldn't be a large enough size.
And realistically over time the numbers should be fairly similar IF the pools are functioning properly (its been proven that slush is having some real issues).
And one of the better reasons for sticking with kano is that it's NOT a Chinese pool! That right there should be enough incentive.

It's luck...why should if luck is better pending 10 days in one pool it should be ever so?

I had to take a break. I just sent out maybe 50 PM's. I will send out more tomorrow. I started with page 1076 and went back to page 1071 and completed it on a particular pool forum. I'll start tomorrow on page 1070 and work back to page 1061. I plan on doing 10 pages each day until I get all the way back to about page 900 or maybe 800. Surely, that should help get some more to come over. All I can do is ask and they say yes or no.

Thanks for the pm. Id like to say you did a fine job explaining it.. I made the switch a cpl days ago now.. Got a good feeling about this pool. And i feel the pool donation isnt just going to fast cars and hookers
(although if it was that's alright by me you guys spend more than enough time working here and on your pool enhancements) By the looks of this thread and others the ops of this pool are much more community oriented..Actually looking out for us little miners:).. When your small like most of us are every block counts!!!Big thanks for all you guys do and have done for the community.

Looking forward to retiring my last s5 and s3 with a s7 replacement tonight. And definitely glad I left slush a while ago to come over. I'm sticking with kano when my rigs aren't being rented. Screw the china pools...I noticed eligius just mined an empty block too. Booo!

Very few of the restarts ever bother the miners. As long as you have backup pools setup you should be fine anyway.
