I Got 2 controllers, so can point them at 2 different places where ever you want them. They Are just turned OFF atm..
Try pointing your hashes at ckpool.org:3333 . It's for testing only but I can see then if it produces valid hashes.

Weird, I just saw that too.  Maybe Kano put too many addresses in his transaction?  I didn't know it was limited to 250.

It's not, that's just blockchain.info failing.  They are not the definitive source for all things transaction related.

My rig seems to be mining ok. Here's it's hash rate from the "Shifts" when the last block was found: http://prntscr.com/9czhww

Here's its N Avg on the "Rewards" screen for the same block: http://prntscr.com/9czicm

I'm just trying to understand how it's N avg on the Rewards screen was a lot lower than the actual Hash Rate showing on the Shifts screen. Am I missing something regarding the calculation for N Avg?

If you look at the Avg Hs column on the Shifts page, the rough 5n is about where the red line is (quick way of comparing without having to do any figuring). In your case, you probably haven't mined the full 5n yet (roughly @ 50%) and need to wait longer.

If you average 1.1T from the top of the shifts page all the way down to the payout line (currently at Dec-06 11:41:55), then your rewards would be around 1.1T. Any lower amounts will decrease your avg.

Thx NuttyCoins and Jethroz. Ya I'm likely at about 2.5 N. I get it now. I'll be more patient.

But still not confirmed yet

So when I look up this transactions on blockchain.info, I am getting this message
"Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: The Maximum number of outputs in a single transaction is 250"

Weird, I just saw that too.  Maybe Kano put too many addresses in his transaction?  I didn't know it was limited to 250.

Yes, very odd. Around the same time as Kano sent this payment, I has 2 final payments from slush since I moved all my miners to Kano last night and one does not exist and the other still unconfirmed for over 90 blocks. The below links are right from the Slush payments page.

Also odd is that Slush has made blocks since these payments so why would they not confirm their own transactions?

I presume it would be just as easy to make a patch that would block all known SPV addresses?

Just wondering.......
Patch or firewall is not a problem, but for example Kano pool is 1.5+ % of total hashrate but F2pool and Antpool is 50% total, this will be not effective at all. It will not hurt giants pool in any noticeable  way... They do not care if Kano's pool or any other small pool include their transactions or not.

Have you being mining here for 4.5 days?   If not it is an average over the 5N not just current.

ALSO, newbies to this pool...   when starting out going over 100% luck is actually a good thing for you....  THEN hope the pool hits the lucky blocks and you reap more of the benefits.

In summary...  if this is all too complicated for you to understand Smiley , setup your miners and go away for 5 days, then evaluate current rewards verse what you got from the BS Chinese pools before.

Hi guys,

Under "Rewards", what does "Your N Avg" mean ?

I ask because I only have 1 rig on the pool- averaging about 1.19 THS. However, my "N Avg" was only 581 GHS and 409 GHS for the last 2 blocks.
Your average hash rate over the "N Range" reward range.
So if you only mined for 1/2 of "N Range" then your average hash rate would be 1/2

Note also: that is a calculation not a cause Smiley
i.e. your shares determine your reward

Thx. Guess i need to check if this rig has some issues.

Sure... you could certainly build a patch to exclude transactions from any address you wanted... you could also setup firewall rules to block any traffic from known IP addresses.  This would have the effect of denying known dead pool miners from connecting to you, and you'd never allow a transaction from those pools to be included in your pool's work.

Sure, you can alter the client code to block addresses, but you can't just throw some addresses in a configuration file.  As you've quoted, it was towards a specific release (Gentoo) and required changes to the underlying core code.  I agree that somebody, if motivated enough, could in fact change the code to block kano's address; however, there are a whole lot of somebodies that would have to do the same thing to have a noticeable effect.
It is quite easy to make patch for such filtering and recompile bitcoind, a few hours max. Especially after recent 'dirty' mining talks here, kind of revenge..

possible yes, but an abuse of bitcoind !
I don't think they will do it in that way.

Pick and place? I need more coffee.
I Got 2 controllers, so can point them at 2 different places where ever you want them. They Are just turned OFF atm..

Just use ckproxy.  That was suggested to me since I can't use CGminer.

That Works?

It might.  What I did when I had tubes mining is use a uart adapter and a custom version of cgminer.  I think there was talk of a r-pi image created by "crazyguy" back

when he sold tubes.

I'm unaware of any settings you can configure to allow you to block transactions from specific BTC addresses.
http://www.coindesk.com/blacklist-debate-ok-meddle-bitcoins-code/
The version of bitcoind (the official reference client for interacting with the bitcoin network) distributed with Gentoo was blocking particular bitcoin addresses, said the report, meaning that transactions with them wouldn’t work.

The posting showed Gentoo output blocking a transaction with a SatoshiDice address, which had been blacklisted.

Luke_Jr is Luke Dashjr, a developer who runs his own mining pool and has stood for election to the Bitcoin Foundation board. He also maintains software packages for Gentoo and contributes to the bitcoin core development team.

Dashjr had written a patch for Gentoo’s version of bitcoind that specifically blacklisted bitcoin addresses used by several sites, the majority of which were gambling sites: SatoshiDice, BitcoinDice, Satoshibones, and Luckybit. It also blocked addresses operated by Mastercoin, and Counterparty. And the address discussed here as a spam attack on the network was also in the blacklist.

Put away the tin foil hats, kids Smiley.

But.. It keeps me warm at night and prevents anyone from scanning my passphrases Cheesy

Well, blockchain.info does more than provide information about blocks... it's also an online wallet service.  So, I can understand the logic behind throwing a DDoS at them for that reason.

AntPool has been under attack for a while now.

ah, thanks. I just always used it for exploring the blockchain.
