Thanks Nazza.. thanks for your response.  So what's the suppose "DUST" value??

cheers

If you're mining with an s7 or higher, you're above dust...although the s7 is getting closer and closer to dust levels now.

I think dust is anything under under 0.0001 BTC

All these sounds great, but when do you get paid.  I cannot see any payment option under reward?  Do you have to reach a certain BTC amount or you can withdraw or transfer your BTC to your wallet any time??

To answer the question - you get paid after a block found by the pool matures (100 confirmations), each and every block if you're above the "dust" value.

Dust is still pending Kano figuring out how to use a slide rule.... *g*

Edit: you also need to specify a payout address in settings

Was just thinking abandoned pizza shops are a dime a dozen where I live. If they have that huge hood type ventilation system and power for electric
ovens they might make excellent lease sites for bitcoin mining on a small to moderate scale. Just need to get rid of the big windows and secure the place
up and you have almost instant cheap small data center.
Well, can dream, can't I?

I was thinking the same thing when I drove behind a building the other day, and it had bunch of aluminum pipes sticking out of it, and I thought, "Woah, that could be a mining farm!" I turned around and heard air rushing out of the pipes! So, I drive around the side of the building... It's a laundromat.

I'd happily expand my mining operation if I could get one of those laundromats ... a few started closing down in my area ... crime is a bit too high though, I'll have to stick with mining from home

On another note, I had two machines that didn't recover well from last night's shenanigans on KDB/ckpool - rebooting didn't help, I shut them down for 20+ minutes and then powered them on again before they were happy again. Fortunately I use a wifi enabled power switch so I can just remotely power cycle stuff (TP-Link HS110 if anyone's interested, these easily handle the load on an S9)

LOL,

My miners were cycling, and I immediately thought that kano was down again, then I started checking, and could not get to the miners web-page interface.

Then I had that AHA  moment. The wife had come down to the basement to get some clothing which is on poles I set up decades ago. I had strung one of the
Ethernet lines over the poles to a switch that had a very short power cord. Sure enough the switch was unplugged.

I took the time to reroute things so there was no tension on the power cord and once everything was reconnected all was happy.

Hopefully this extremely minor incident is last the bit of unhappy excitement for the day.

0.2+EH!!!

Figured I'd go ahead and start measuring the Kano Pool in EHs. Hehe Wink

Edit: I noticed the user count dropped to <1200. Interesting that there were like 200 just hanging out doing nothing, I guess. I dunno. This wouldn't happen to actually be more like a worker count, would it?

The app shows 11:08 for me. So maybe there's something off in how it's add/subtracting your timezone from the original time zone.

I sure hope that is all it is.

Really it doesn't matter what time stamp is on either of the apps...they're just portable references anyway.  The main thing is what's on the blockchain and on Kano's website and it looks good there..

Yeah I've seen that too, the ckpool Android app gives 2400 for midnight instead of 0000.  Weird, but nothing to see here I'd guess!

Mine On!  Cool

-EDIT- and you'll get false block alerts, too, after pool restarts...  Tongue

I am aware of the false block found symptom after a pool restart. I also can see where 2400 would be valid for midnight depending on how you define things.
What I was a bit concerned about was that the Last Block: found time is 2018-05-21 24:08:25.

That has a time stamp of over 24 hours and is not a valid time in any system I know of on planet earth.

From John Ringo's "Troy Rising" series book one.
“It is said that in science the greatest changes come about when some researcher says "Hmmm. That's odd."

I used to be a Novell Administrator long ago and in a different life. The later versions of Novell used something call eDirectory which was a database that
kept track of all the objects in the Novell network. Part of having a consistent database is a very precise tracking of time. The Novell database could be distributed across many servers and many geographic regions. Because of this the database had to know the precise time of any event so it could properly update the database with the most current changes.

A time stamp of over 24 hours would not have been allowed in Novell. I was just wondering if Kano might need clues to find out why his program seg-faulted.
It is my job as a concerned member of Kano pool to bring up little things that would not seem to make a difference when bad things are happening with no apparent cause.

Now if the android app is treating 24 = 0, then 24:08:25 could be a valid time stamp. I just never noticed it doing that before which is why I brought it up after kano pool had its issue.

The app shows 11:08 for me. So maybe there's something off in how it's add/subtracting your timezone from the original time zone.

@Kano

How's everything going with wavelengths generous contribution??? Hopefully well, I'm just curious as I'm working on something
that makes reference to it.  Wink
