Smile while thinking.
... and I thought I'd add a little reminder to everyone mining here Smiley

We don't do any extra filtering of transactions or create address filters or hide the full details about such things.

We believe in the importance of bitcoin being fungibile.

All the transactions we mine are the transactions that the standard bitcoin software gives to the pool via the getblocktemplate RPC interface.
We use the standard unmodified bitcoin.
We don't accept transactions from other sources, even if some entity wants to pay us to do this.
Our only modification of the default bitcoin transaction selection settings is to increase the block size limit to 850,000.

Nice to know.  Thanks for the precisions.  I was following that guy's requests and I thought it was funny seeing all the negative answers from pool operators.

Watch out for the "Neg-Rep-Dogie-Police".....

You got one of those requests too eh? It will be interesting to see which pool, if any, actually fulfil the users request...... Wink

The luck has been mostly in the red ever since I put a miner over here.  It must be my fault!

And here I thought it was me. Mostly bad luck since I started.

Let's hope that the current 50+ hour block breaks soon, and is followed by some fast ones...

tlhIlwI, ok, thanks for clearing that up Smiley

Regarding CDF vs Diff%

A Diff% of 100% = a CDF of 0.6321...
So bad luck is a little better Smiley a CDF > 0.63

The wording of the CDF is of the average expected result.
So a CDF of 0.63 means that you would expect that on average 37% of blocks would take longer.
The pool may do better or worse than that, but that is simply the expected average.

Ok

Thanks to all very interesting.

I also noticed you made a comment about a 5% loss moving from that other pool ... yowsers that's a worry.
So if you have an outage, or are unable to mine for whatever reasons on their pool, your misfortune becomes a pool payout penalty? Ouch!

I need to clarify because I think I was misunderstood.  I was comparing BAN's 1% bonus to a 4% fee PPS pool-- there is a 5% difference between those payouts.  I was saying that I took extra risks with BAN to avoid the decrease in payout that would happen if I switched to a 4% fee PPS.  With BTC/USD as it is, 5% means a lot!

My only misfortune in the end at BAN is that the difficulty changed during an 11 day lapse in payment and their system changed my payout on the shares mined at lower difficulty to the rate of the higher difficulty (one moment it said I was being paid 0.4 and moments later it was 0.37).  Adding insult to injury, I was running less efficient (higher w/GH) for the lower difficulty, so there will be some impact there as well.  It could be worse though-- I could be out all 0.4!

look here  cdf is roughly tied to diff%

a higher diff% sucks as does a higher cdf %

Any diff of 100% or lower good  any cdf of 60% or lower good

last 13 blocks 5 good 8 bad

Hello,

Short question I am the user Jujumax with 20TH my question is what is the CDF?

Regards

Juan

cdf is how you are compared to the average block time..     60% means 60% of the blocks are made in the time you took to make a block.  60% cdf is decent.

99% means 99 out of 100 black are faster then your block is

99% terrible

60% decent

30% really good.

Welcome BAN miners Smiley The more hash we have the merrier.

I can tell you for a FACT this is the most honest pool and operator you will find.

Luck is luck we have no control but when its good we sure get paid well. Grin
