Payout 342714 sent and confirmed

I also restarted the pool due to a small problem I caused last night when I changed the block coinbase sig
Seems I wasn't concentrating enough ...

Anyone who keeps a close eye on the actual payout addresses might notice the 2 blocks with my brothers memorial in them also paid the % not quite right.
They paid 99.5% to the usual miner payout address (instead of 99.1%)
Not an issue as such, since the PPLNS payout code calculates it based on 99.1% as expected and of course still got each payout correct for everyone, but simply that there was of course an extra 0.4% left over that would normally have gone to the pool fee address, that instead I just tacked onto my mining address, which is indirectly where it would normally end up anyway.

The block payout was 25.24214789 BTC
https://www.blocktrail.com//block/00000000000000000961b8441be49032f5d7d4c3dd80a39ec0399b84d4d8a2f3
99.5% was sent to the usual mining address: 1KzFJddTvK9TQWsmWFKYJ9fRx9QeSATyrT (25.11593716)
But 99.1% was paid out as per usual (25.014968559) to all miners (including me)
and the leftover (0.1009686) was added to my mining address.

Edit: same will happen with the next block payout of course, but I've fixed it so it will be correct for any new blocks

With Kano's news I hope this is appropriate.
I received the AVA4 contest miner today and I can't get it to hash. I did change the IP address and can contact the miner. I have pools set up, but still nothing.    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what I did but it's hashing now!

I set up another account called ava4winner you can check it out on the stats page.

I will let it run there for awhile. Then move it to my account.

Again Kano, I'm sorry about your brother.

Yep, payouts are after they reach +101 confirms on the web site
i.e. when the block reaches 101 confirms I can then pay it directly from the block to each miner in the payout.
That also makes it easy to see where the bitcoins are.
Block 342714 still has another 13 confirms to go.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Much appreciated.
Regarding the coinbase change, I'll leave it in until next time we need to restart the pool, which hopefully will be a while also.
2 blocks already since the restart Smiley

When do the blocks pay out after how many confirms?

Kano just lost his brother .....relax you'll get your payout.
If you've looked through this thread you will not find one incidence of problem.
You do know on whose pool you're mining?

He is new. so he may not.

@ dirtbikerr450 no worries I am mining with a lot more.  It will be a small delay for payment.  If not sloopy is good for it. 1.2 th is a few dollars a day

When do the blocks pay out after how many confirms?

After 100 confirmations and Kano does well and pays out when he can, which is almost always spot on. I hope he sleeps, but I have read that is when payouts may be a little longer, if he is sleeping. He does a great job with it. As far as I know they are still doing manual payouts.
At this time he is in mourning for his brother, and we have wished Kano the best and hope he is doing ok and with family.

I assure you, you will get your payout, and I hope that doesn't sound snarky at all, I am sincerely trying to assure you.
If you do not get your payout within a decent time I will cover your payout.

That is how confident I am you will get it Smiley

Edit - I re-read this and it still sounds to me like I am being a smartass, but I was trying to be helpful, please do not take it wrong if it reads that way.

You sound sincere.

Decentralize your hashing - p2pool - Norgz Pool
I did a pool restart last night.
No pool problems, just added a message to the coinbase regarding my brother who passed away a few hours before that.

Someone close to your heart remembered forever in something that's also obviously close to your heart. Nice gesture, hope your family is ok and that you are able to remember the good times with him and smile. My condolences and best wishes to you and your family.

Thank you both for your replies.
I was overcomplicating things a bit Smiley
After thinking it throuigh a little more a basic accounting program I use already does all of this for vehicles.
It doesn't work from Mhz, but it does mileage. Rotate tires - fan replacement, checking, etc

Is there a more dynamic method with other variables?
I don't mean a calculator to know how much 1 TH will mine, but a calculator which uses that as a variable, the power as a variable, even maintenance, downtime, Bitcoin difficulty, even pool difficulty.

There's no such calculator because it's too simple. Since difficulty is stagnant and dances from 40B to 43B in the last 3.5 months, all those variables boil down to simple 1 THs produces 0.35 BTC per month minus expenses. Those expenses are electricity and maintenance, which are constants. Why do you need fancy calculator for that?

This pool had amazing luck. Since understanding how luck works much better after this thread, I'll say the luck was great and I look forward to saying such again in the future, but no matter how hard I wish upon a star I cannot predict it  Smiley

Simple n00b question for you guys.
What is the best way to determine a price for your miner when renting?

I read many threads discussing setting the price, and I have not seen a post by someone who said 'use this formula' or 'this website does it like this'. I understand the power usage amount, the estimated amount say 1 TH mines per day, and how it correlates to difficulty.

Is there a more dynamic method with other variables?
I don't mean a calculator to know how much 1 TH will mine, but a calculator which uses that as a variable, the power as a variable, even maintenance, downtime, Bitcoin difficulty, even pool difficulty.

Maybe I am going to far for my initial question, but any input is appreciated. TY!!

I am going to link you to another pool https://www.f2pool.com/help

it shows its payout rate  per th     right now it is 0.0116977 btc a th daily    this is the current rate - 4%    …….  if you are renting your gear you want 25% more for your gear.

If you want to rent gear  you want to pay exactly number give or take 5%.  quick easy to know.
