I did a pool restart last night.
No pool problems, just added a message to the coinbase regarding my brother who passed away a few hours before that.

Kano, do you think it would be possible to put up running percent averages for the last 10, 20 and 40 blocks on the stats page?  I keep it in a spreadsheet just because I'm anal like that, but it'd be nice to see right there.

Good stuff! We need that crazy luck back that we had before...weeks of making 120% was amazing.

When you add to your hash does the added hash have to go thorough the 500% thing?
Or is it just added to your exisiting right away?
Yet another way to look at it is ... Smiley

With PPS, your shares are paid as you submit them.
So it takes an hour, to get an hours worth of payout, and a day to get a days worth of payout ... so it takes time to get equivalent of a full payout.

With PPLNS you get paid each block you mined part of.
In our case the 'part of' is the previous 500% shares.
So if you mined only half of the previous 500% shares, then you'd only expect to get about half of your hashrate 'block' expected payout.

.
.
.

However, that is just what the numbers appear as in payouts.
What actually happens is ... a couple of posts on the subject:

well thanks for the info, i hope that my miners have not been compromised, if so i'm screwed since my knowledge is limited  Sad
Then PM me your IP address and I'll check - there are other reasons for failing to authenticate also (like incorrect username)

thanks, my problem is with kano pool Cool
I mine on all 4 ports from home with a 330GHs miner so I can tell if they are OK.

However ... the pool server blocks the address of anyone who attempts to hack into the server
(my custom code, not any commonly available tool)

If you are using tor or privateinternetaccess (or similar) then that may be the reason.
The current list of blocked IPs is quite a few hundred.

Also of course, If someone has been trying to hack the server from the IP of your miners ... then yep you are blocked Smiley
