Well ... it's not constantly restarting/failing only a few times in the last few days.
However, now the major cause of that is resolved, I'll look into why the auth info (that includes your chosen worker diff) is lost, soon.

ckolivas has just fixed it, but that will require a restart, so that will mean that next restart it will be ok

Every share can be a block. Plenty of shares being submitted, just not enough high enough.

Fortunately it has no effect as evidenced by the fact our best stretch of luck was at the most unstable period a couple of weeks ago.

yeah if you figure 'normal luck' we should have made 9 or 10 blocks since the contest started we have 4.

1258 should be good for 9-10 blocks strictly eyeballing that . some of the math gets confusing since those figures were created with 2 different difficulty numbers.

you should average 0.005483 a day (look at screenshot) after the 0.9% fee it should be .991 x 0.005483 = 0.005433653 a day

Note the word average means just that some days higher some days lower

Some days yes, some days no. It all depends on how many blocks we find each day.
if you go to ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com there is a table at the bottom that shows an approximate BTC/TH/s/Day.

So take yesterday, we found two blocks

and the average estimated payout was 0.01148986 BTC/TH/s/Day
Your S3+ does about 0.45 TH so:
0.01148986 BTC/TH/s/Day X 0.45 TH = 0.00517 BTC/Day

But the 25th we found no blocks Cry

so you would not have made anything.

This is a simplified explanation, there is more to it, especially since you get paid for 500% the shares, but that has been discussed in this thread many times.

You'll expect to average a certain amount of BTC based on your hash rate, but the payouts are PPLNS, when we find a block.

While I was out today for a while, the pool restarted once - all ok - but of course a failover for everyone when it happened
(and my phone and iPad did the usual mad beeping so I checked it all out and found it restarted all by itself ok)
As mentioned before, I added the uptime to the top of the Pool->Stats menu page (or the "Stats" 'button' for iP* users) so you can see when that happened.
