I just now switched from mining to an address to mining as a worker. I see the pool stats for 1day are also out of whack, so I'm guessing its just a calc bust.
Kano, by switching, I'm guessing I'll get 2 payouts for this next block we find?

If you were mining to an address before, and now to a user account with a different payout address, then yes you'll get two separate payouts in the next block. Kano, by switching, I'm guessing I'll get 2 payouts for this next block we find?

Is the api for "hashrate1d" messed up? I see good numbers on the 1m, 5m, 1hr, but nothing close on the 1d. I'm just mining to my address without logging in.

it adss up slowley...If you are mining for last 24 hours here without any interuptions i do not know....
Yeah...I've been playing with S4-1 & S4-3, but S4-2 has been up 27days.

Having had a whole bunch of BTC miners go chasing after altcoins and leave the pool temporarily or permanently, I'm going to make a change to the payout now that I said in the opening post I would make at some stage.
This will of course be to the advantage of anyone who has stayed mining and continues to mine, but also as planned to happen sooner or later anyway.
For the N in the PPLNS, I've used the Network Difficulty when the block was found.
I'm increasing that now to 5N.
There's a catch with increasing it, I cannot increase it beyond the internal workmarkers that exist.
The current last workmarker is during block 333809, before it was found, so I'd have to start counting from when block 33809 was found.
So for any blocks found before 5N after block 333809, it will be the smaller amount (which already currently > N) back to block 333809.
This is currently ~106% i.e. all shares from after 333809 was found, to when block 334106 was found, and all shares since that.
The change from N to 5N would have an affect no matter when it was done, but doing it now with the above restriction will modify the expected payout to be to the advantage of those who've stayed mining.

ckpool restart shortly, should be no failover for anyone using the 3333 port, but anyone using the other ports (80, 81, 443, 8080) may failover to their backups for a few seconds.
This restart was a change ckolivas had done a while ago in ckpool to make the hash rate stats more reliable in ckdb by removing ckdb's instance calculation which had a known issue, and just using the more reliable stats directly from ckpool, but I've only just updated ckdb to support the new method for getting those stats.Hopefully anyone that saw (on rare occasions) unexpected worker hash rates due to miner disconnects/reconnects, will see more reliable results now.

Sigh.
They'll be back I guess as soon as that altcoin pump and dump starts dumping.

As usual it will be yet another case of people putting money into a scam, a few people getting a lot out of it and a lot of people losing.
I don't like the idea of scamming people, even if I'm making a profit out of it, so I steer clear of them and prefer no comments about them by name

We moved most of our stuff to the altcoin of the week or another rental service that started paying out 10x the normal rate. Once it cools off - we will re-evaluate. I'm sure most others are doing the same thing.
