Carl, aka Sonny :)
every sunday evening i transfer my credits to my ledger.

one !!!! block in a Week!!!! time...

This is soooo depressing... Sad

10x S9, profit in a week:0.011002BTC...  Huh

And the week before that your profit was 0.08004323...I don't think I saw any complaints from you then.  So what's your point?

Bitcoin mining is a long term activity.  Short term analysis is not logical and only causes you stress.

Try looking at big picture and you will be a much happier miner. Smiley

Hi Kano San,

I have encountered login failure.

It says, "Too many failures, come back later" when I havent changed my password nor the user name in months.

Can advise please?

user name: ---
Cleared.

Check what you are using to login - it's using your email address as the login - not your username.

(also - remove your email from your post - it's a bad idea to post email addresses on a public forum)

thank you kano san!

Does anyone have any idea what would cause my Whats miner m3 to have issues with getting the upload Freq on its cg miner status. all 3 boards are working with a full complement of 63 chips each. Temps are fine and the 2nd m3 is hashing away nicely next to it.
Tried reset
tried reboot

it's testing my patience now.... Huh

Edit 1

Now i have an upload freq of 1 ( same as miner2)

BUt nothing is showing on my kano pool stats - the miner is running and hashing but is a no show with kano Sad

Edit 2.

Ignore all of the above, User error  Cheesy When i reset the miner from the unit reset button, re input my miner details, i left in the standard password. as soon as i removed and rebooted the lovely hashing began again...

NOW LETS GET SOME BLOCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening from Kano. Is(land) and kanois.land!

There's been a LOT going on, although you can't tell from here. I've been a bit busy of late.
You know how this is run from a cubbyhole in the sub-basement of an abandoned building?
Well, this is an island. A lot of islands are the result of volcanic activity, this one included. Which could be a reason that the building was abandoned.
It has been unusually warm (in my opinion) in the cubbyhole. As it happens, there has been some volcanic activity of late. The draft through the cubbyhole just wasn't enough to keep the ants and mice cool. We tried fans, but the one cord just couldn't handle the load. We ended up scaling back and underclocking to keep things running.

I'm still working on improvements in the power supply, but with this location on the island being a bit warm, I have begun searching for new digs, as it were.  Grin

Speaking of digs, Billy Miner is still going at it in that wall in the rear of the cubbyhole. The heat has been rough, but he still keeps chipping away at those blocks. I heard a few of them bust the last week.

Igor spends most of his free time looking over Billy's shoulder. He sees something in there, but he's not saying what.  Since he comes from  very long line of Igors, the possibilities make me shudder, especially since his grandfather worked for that doctor near Darmstadt. I'm hoping for the best.

In contest and giveaway news, I'm saddened greatly by my lack of ability to do my only job - hash for you. Unfortunately the recent rise in temperature has caused a corresponding reduction in hashpower. It sux.  Embarrassed  Sad

There is good news, though! If you check my contact options in the left panel, I have a new email.
The website, https://kanois.land , has changed a little. I noticed that traffic has dropped the last few days, but there's different static content now. The pictures actually relate to some future content. Drop by, check it out, give me some feedback, please.  Smiley

Although I've been down, I've not been completely out - I have been keeping up with the thread. I am touched that a couple of you mentioned me. And, since one person actually asked for me, I guess it's time to do what I'm here to do, hash for you.
Congratulations to Tarby32!!! You've been awarded 500GH/s for five days, starting May 5th! Yeah, it's the 5/5 500-4-5!  Roll Eyes
Even I think that's a bit much on the name, but it keeps the theme.  Grin

On a semi-serious note, this must be a labour of love, because I can assure you my profit margins are small, but they are there. Folks may question why I do this, which I don't mind (I wonder myself, sometimes). I searched for the answer to that question and did not come up with "drug-addled" as the answer. Someone else said it, more eloquently that I can:

It's about the dream of it, not the statistics.

I'm going to check on the mice and Billy. Can't have them suffering heat strokes. Need to find Igor, too. Really odd that he's not over my shoulder. Hmmm.

Until next time,

MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!!!

Welcome back dude,

Very grateful for the extra hashing very unexpected. Hope your issues are sorted soon though...
let’s smash some blocks

Block you frustrate me! Why you no crack!
My guess is... math. Grin

Just a quick notice from the Blocks page:

At the time of our last block--since the beginning of the year--we got 56 out of 57.11 expected blocks. That's ~98% of what could be statistically expected during that time period... Not bad from my perspective.
That means we can expect a month with about 102%. Even better. Grin
Nope. Just 100%. It always moves closer to 100%. No slingshot effect.

This is actually a good thing, because after a really good month, I'd hate to look forward to a bad month in the near future afterward.

Math doesn't care what you believe.
For some reason my pool 0 set on stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 fails and my miner goes to pool 1 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333.

I tried rebooting and it doesn't help. Is there anything else I can try?

Probably totally unrelated, but I've been having weird Internet problems for the past couple of days.  Things like what the OP said above.  I'm having sites come and go from reachability.  Like right now I can get to www.speedtest.net, but not the test itself.  I can get to USPS.com, but not the PO Box management or login page.  Slushpools zcash pool has been more offline than online to me, from here at the Farm, but apparently is fine from my little PC in St. Louis throwing crumbs at it.

Last night my wife could receive messages on Telegram but not send them.  Our house has its own static IP, my office has another with the same carrier and Telegram worked fine for me.  This morning she was fine.

Its weird and more than a bit frustrating.

Just thought I'd mention it in case it IS somehow related (like a mid-west USA network wide routing issue).  Note that DNS lookups are working fine.

For anyone wondering about miners beeping twice in the last few hours:

There was a failover for the majority of miners on the main stratum node at 17:23 (about 4.5hrs ago)
It was a disconnect reconnect, so all miners on stratum would have gone through their usual 5 minute failback shenanigans.

There was again another failover on stratum, and this time also on NYA and UK (NL), at 21:46 (about 20 minutes ago)
This was again a very short disconnect reconnect, so most miners on stratum, NYA and UK (NL), would have gone through their usual 5 minute failback shenanigans.
Not all the nodes, handling the stratum node, disconnected this time, so not as many miners will have failed over, but the extra 2 nodes involved meant it was about the same.

Guys has anyone used  https://www.eastshore.xyz to buy a miner? Is it safe?

Really?  An L3+ for $2199 that Bitmain sells for ~$750?

As Bitmain has REPEATEDLY stated:  They do not have authorized resellers.  If you buy from anyone but them you will not get warranty support.

Would it be the case router also runs TV channels?

Yes, the router also does, cable TV. Is there an easy cure?

Have to check manual. Mine for example has 2 middle ports reserved for tv channels only. 1 and 4 for net. So you have to buy switcher and plug it to one of those if you want to run more then 2 miners.
